We booked Minx and Lewis to take care of our boys whilst we were in Italy and they did a fantastic job again. Kept us very well updated with message and pictures, and gave Eli all his Asthma medications perfectly. Felt we were really able to relax whilst away. Best cat sitters we've ever had.

Zuzanna has been amazing from start to finish! She did a lovely introductory meet & greet, and my cat took to her straight away—it was clear she’s confident and comfortable around animals, especially cats. Throughout her time looking after my little one, she sent me loads of photos, which really put my mind at ease. It was so reassuring to know my cat was in such caring and capable hands. Highly recommend Zuzanna to anyone looking for a trustworthy and kind pet sitter!! 10/10 I will be booking again when the time comes 🐈‍⬛

About: Experience: I am a dog owner myself with 2 years worth of dog sitting experience. I have been looking after pets for 15 years. These include: cats, rabbits, rats, hamsters. If you need help with any of these, please message. I am a qualified dog first aider and I have had experience with dog training also. The home: I am in 3 bedroom house with a fenced off yard and access to lots of lovely walks near by. My golden retriever will most likely be around but he is lovely and gets on very well with all dogs. He has been neutered and is fully trained I have my own dog and I also work from home fulltime, so my schedule is already very dog friendly, being flexible and home orientated. Your pet can either stay in a room on their own or they are more than welcome to stay in a room with my dog and/or me. I can change my schedule to fit your pups schedule. I drive and I have extra of most things such as dog bowls, dog beds, toys etc but please bring your own in order to make the stay as comfortable for your pup as possible.

About: Hi! I'm a 25 year old university graduate based in Greater Manchester. I have experience with different domestic animals, cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, parrots, and even some insects. I absolutely adore every animal I've cared for and have taken pride in providing a caring and enriching experience for each one. I love learning about each animal and their behaviour to provide them with a fun and comfortable environment whilst their loved ones are away. I have previously owned rabbits, stick insects, a hamster, and I currently have an American bully puppy who is a family pet and does not accompany me on sits. If you have a large dog I only require that they are well behaved on a lead. I’m currently quite flexible and will be focussed on caring for your pets during my time with them, including lots of play time and attention. I like to stick to your pets usual schedule so they experience the least amount of disruption possible. So just let me know what their usual day looks like. I will always look after your home, water plants, take bins out and anything else you may need whilst I’m caring for your pet. I’ll provide as many updates and photos as you’d like to reassure you that your pets are in great hands.

About: I was a cat person until I started dating my now husband who took me on dates to Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary to volunteer to walk the dogs. It was there that I learned that dogs personalities were so different and vibrant! Shortly after moving in together we got our own dog, a cocker spaniel who we called Islay (said like Isla but spelt like the Scottish Island and whisky). I trained her from 8 weeks old, going to weekly classes, setting up agility courses at home, teaching her useless commands like flipping cushions over with her nose! We lost Islay in August 2025 at 12 years old. One day we will get another dog but I'm not quite ready yet and I am waiting to see what 2026 brings for my career. I decided to join Rover so that I could be close to animals again, I truly miss their company, and to provide local owners with a reliable and loving option for pet care. I work part-time hours and start later in the afternoon so I am home when most people are normally at work, which makes me perfect for a dog walker! I have a fenced garden and have many wonderful walks from my house including safe places to let dogs off the lead. I can drive to pet owners homes a couple of times a day to check up of the furry family members.

About: Hi, I'm Siobhan, Mama to three littles, small business owner and fur baby fan. As we run our own business and home educate our children we have a certain level of flexibility. We love to travel, to see new places and to spend time outdoors. We are big animal lovers with a lot of love to give. Despite not having any of our own pets we love to spend time with your beautiful pets, caring for them as though they were our own. Personally I have worked for many years as a nanny, caring for homes, pets and of course, children. But as a family we also have a lot of experience as housesitters where we have cared for both a home and their dogs, cats, birds, chickens and fish both in the UK and overseas for upto a month at a time. We have fed, walked, bathed, taken pets to the vets and administered medication alongside meals. I have always loved animals and have had my own rabbits throughout childhood and as a young adult. Plus having previously been a teacher we have also taken care of the school guinea pigs, gerbils and chicks on many occasions in our own home. As I work from home I can be very flexible with pet care at a time to suit you and your fur babies as requested. I am available most days to look after your pet. I can fit in walks when you need and I am generally free for boarding most days of the week. As part of the booking I am more than happy to take on these duties: Feeding, Walking, Providing fresh water, Cleaning/clearing of waste, feeding & water bowls, Cleaning up after myself, Putting your post to a side, I will also ensure the safety of your home by locking up when I arrive & leave. If you have any other small animals that need taking care of, please don't hesitate to send me a request & ask. I am NOT limited to just looking after dogs. With your instruction I will be able to adapt to looking after another type of pet that I've never had experience with before. I can assure you I will treat your home, belongings & pets with respect. I firmly believe in treating people how you would like to be treated. Please do not hesitate to contact me to enquire and THANK YOU for taking the time out to read my profile. I look forward hearing from you & hopefully looking after your fur babies!

Yes, absolutely! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Rossendale pet parents with similar pet households.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Rossendale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
