MCR based dog sitter 🐶
Hey, I’m Ellie 👋 I’m 25 and a trainee chartered accountant based in Manchester. Both my partner and I come from seriously dog-mad families, and neither of us can imagine life without dogs in it. We’ve recently moved into an apartment together and are waiting until we buy a house before getting dogs of our own. Having grown up in busy homes full of dogs, our place now feels a little empty without one. While we don’t currently have pets, we genuinely love opening our home to yours and giving them a warm, comfortable home-from-home while you’re away. I’ve had a family dog, Lola (a Yorkshire Terrier), since I was 11. She lives with my parents now — but I’m still very much her favourite human. Most evenings are spent studying on the sofa, which usually means plenty of calm company and cuddles, and at weekends my partner and I love getting outdoors for long walks and hikes. I know how important it is to feel reassured when leaving your dog with someone new, so I’m more than happy to send regular photo and video updates while they’re with us, if you’d like. Highly recommend!!! This is the first time we have ever left the boys with a sitter so my anxiety was everywhere, but it was instantly at peace when we turned up. Ellie, I can’t thank you enough for looking after my babies. They have come back happy and tired, happy to say Loki and Leo have found their permanent sitter 🥰🥰🥰
Ellie and her partner are the best. I took my doggos to meet both of them first as they can be abit funny with strangers. However, all my worries were for nothing, both dogs ran in and were greeted with cuddles. I could tell straight away that my crazy two would get well looked after. We went away for a week and got daily updates and pictures. We will definitely be back in the future ❤️🐶
Felt so comfortable leaving Albus my dog with Ellie and her partner, they’re absolutely lovely and kept me updated on how he was doing ☺️
Ellie was super friendly and chatty from the minute I reached out. I had no concerns leaving Samson with her. She sent lots of pictures and updates over the weekend, Samson looked right at home snuggled up anywhere and everywhere he could. Will definitely be reaching out again when we need more doggy care! Ellie has been great,she had my dog on a trial night and I will definitely book her again, very flexible, has updated me with photos and reassured me, my dog seemed to have settled really quickly.
Ellie and her partner were wonderful, warm and caring with Melah. She came back a very happy dog. Communication was great. Ellie was very responsive and posted photos and updates while we were away. Drop off and pick up were very simple. We'd definitely have Melah stay with them again.

Schedule
I work from home on Fridays, so from Thursday evening to Monday morning I will be with your fur babies 24/7. However, if you pets are able to be left at home for a few hours, I can look after them during the rest of the working week days too: from Monday - Thursday I leave the house at 8:30am and my boyfriend gets back at 3pm. We also have a ring camera set up so we can keep checking they are okay during the day.

Safety, trust & environment
We live right across the road from a big park where we will take your dog for as many walks as your dog needs. We have a small outdoor balcony/patio type of space which is gated off for toilet breaks. We have a L-shaped sofa with a perfect middle space (between me and my boyfriend) for a dog to sit and cuddle up to us in the evening. Our apartment is open spaced and always kept clean and tidy. A lot of the dogs I grew up with were rescued and had behaviour problems (no recall, would try to run off, chew through things, didn’t like other dogs). Therefore, I am super safety conscious and can promise your dog will be safe and loved with me.
A typical day
If your dog is capable of big hikes, me and my boyfriend will be happy to take them along with us. If not, that’s absolutely fine and we will tailor the length of our walks to your dogs needs. Your dog will be given a lot of attention with us whether that’s playing with toys or cuddled up on the sofa. Some dogs can be lazy and others very energetic. I’ve had both, and so the typical day with your dog will depend on their nature.
