Hello! I’m Mary, I work from home mon-Fri so get to give plenty of time to spend with your pups / kitty. I make sure I take the time to get to know your pet’s routines to make sure the transition is easy whilst they stay with me! I love cuddles but understand their need for personal space too. They will get plenty of attention, love and cuddles should the want them! I live near Heaton park and love to get after work steps in anyway so your pup will get plenty of fresh air! I have a fenced garden and a closer park for running about in too.

We had such a wonderful first experience with Mary! She was incredibly communicative, sent us the most adorable photos, took Mabel on lovely walks to the park, and gave her lots of snuggles. She was also so accommodating with our drop-off and pick-up times, which we really appreciated. We felt completely at ease knowing Mabel was so happy and well cared for. Most importantly, Mabel absolutely loves her! We’ll definitely be booking with Mary again. 10/10!
I honestly could not recommend Mary highly enough! She was absolutely amazing looking after Pippa and went above and beyond in every possible way. From the moment we met, I knew my dog was safe, loving and in capable hands. Mary kept me updated throughout with messages and photos, which gave me complete peace of mind, and it was clear that my dog was happy, comfortable and so well cared for. She treated my dog like her own and gave her so much, love, attention and care. Coming home to such a happy and relaxed dog says everything! Mary pet sits our shy girl and has quickly become a firm favourite. She's active so our spaniel loves her visits already but also gives really good cuddles from all the photos of our happy pup we get sent. She's really diligent with feeding instructions, and sends the right amount of updates and photos so we know we don't need to worry. The biggest testimonial is honestly how excited my dog gets when she sees her now. She's not normally a crier, but Mary gets a few tears when she leaves. I always know she's in good hands if she's staying at Mary's.
Mary has looked after my cat around four times now, including overnight stays, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her. My cat adores her and always comes home relaxed, content and tired from all the playtime. As Mary works from home, there was always plenty of company, attention and reassurance throughout the day (as well as pictures and videos) which put my mind at ease that my cat was having a good time. Mary has plenty of cat experience and I’m aware she has even looked after a cat for longer periods. It’s such a comfort knowing my cat being looked after as if she were Mary’s own.
My pet cat, Mouse, really enjoys spending time with Mary when she pet sits for me. Mouse is quiet particular with people and Mary is great with her and knows how to help her feel comfortable and happy.

Schedule
I work from home so quite flexible! When pups stay if I have a lot of work / meetings it’s a garden visit and then a longer lunch break stroll. If morning is a bit clearer maybe a morning walk to wake up and then after work walk - weather permitting we can go for a walk in Heaton park and have a play there. I also live close to a small field where it’s a short walk away for quick lunchtime run. A doggy small enough to cuddle on my lap as I work too would be lovely.

Safety, trust & environment
I have enough space for a crate in my flat if needed. I have a car too so if I’m out and it’s a dog friendly place I’d be happy to take them with me. I make sure I clear with owners before / during on things like any dietary issues / restrictions and any other needs (any quirks / medications etc)
A typical day
Monday - Friday I WFH so I’ll take them out for fresh air and toilet breaks a few times a day. I have a fenced garden, a small field a short walk and then Heaton park for a big after work walk! I have a car and if the pup is happy to sit in the car / tram the pup can come with me for social events where applicable. (Pup friendly brunch places will likely earn them some yummy food off my plate - providing owner says yes!)

- I prefer small to medium sized breed dogs as my flat is a 2 bed flat so not big. They need to be leash trained and ideally good call back. I’m happy for them to cuddle with me at night if they need reassurance. If there is any special requests such as medicine etc please let me know in advanced. Please also supply all the required things such as dog beds, food / bowls, toys they usually use to ensure they settle in.
