Can’t recommend Angela enough - fantastic family environment and long countryside walks, what dog could want more?! Will definitely be using Angela again..”

About: My family has grown up surrounded by dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and even for a short time, ferrets and stick insects. Lasy year I welcomed Norman, a Dachshund, into my home and he is now my constant companion. I know only too well how difficult it is to be away from your beloved pets and how reassuring it is to have someone you can trust looking after them. For the past 8 years, I have been a member of Trusted Housesitters and I have completed numerous sits for pets in their own home. I have received excellent feedback from the owners (I can provide copies of their reviews) and I have a 5☆ rating. I have also become a regular sitter for a couple of them, returning whenever I can. I will always endeavour to be completely committed to caring for your pet and make the experience an enjoyable one for them and you I am still currently working full time, but working from home enables me more freedom during the week. I am also available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. I have a secure garden for your pet to enjoy and numerous local country walks to explore. I would follow any instructions regarding your pets care and needs

“Andrew and his family looked after Nora for a week, and I could not give a higher recommendation. The communication was excellent, and Nora was treated as one of their own. She is 14, so has her challenges, and she was very happy during the week. Thank you so much Andrew!”

About: I absolutely adore cats, every little quirk, purr, and independent streak! As a Bio‑Veterinary Science student working towards being a vet, I understand just how sensitive, clever, and particular they can be. Having looked after so many rescue cats over the years, I know their happy place is always their own familiar home, with no stress or big changes. I’ll keep everything exactly how you like it: fresh food, clean litter, gentle grooming, and giving medicine if needed — all at their own pace. If they want to curl up and snooze, I’ll sit quietly nearby. If they’re feeling cuddly and playful, I’m right there with love and attention. Shy, senior, sassy, or super affectionate, I treat every kitty like my own. And just between us: I worked in hospitality once, but honestly? Cats are way better company than any customer. Friendly, reliable, and I’ll send you lots of cute photos so you can see your little one is safe, happy, and loved.
“Gary was very accommodating to our request for a pre-meet before a drop in session next week. Within 2 minutes of being through the front door Percy was his best friend. Gary clearly knows a lot about dogs and is very experienced with them. He was flexible with what we ask and attentive to what Percy would need while we are away. Highly recommend! Thank you again for coming over and I’m sure Percy is looking forward to seeing you again next week.”

“Jennie was absolutely wonderful looking after our little boy Charlie , she was very attentive to his routines and we had daily updates and photos showing what he was upto , definitely will be having Jennie again Charlie took to her straight away”

“It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Lauren for the care of my two BSH kittens. I had regular updates and cute pictures of all of Lauren’s visits. They looked very happy in her company and were in great health and spirits upon my return. I hope to use Lauren as my regular cat sitter going forward.”

“I highly recommend Angela, as she took such great care of my two pets (1 cat, 1 dog) whilst I was away for 2 weeks over the Christmas period. From the start, I appreciated the time Angela took to get to know them beforehand, with the bonus of coming on a walk with me with my dog to be fully prepared. With my cat being a Bengal (who needs a lot of attention), and my dog being reactive to other dogs (due to a trauma event) - Angela handled both really well, and reassured me with her daily check ins. It was the longest I had left them, but I had no need to worry - and came back to two very happy animals! Thanks again Angela :)”

About: I have 10+ years of hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior pets with special needs. When I was growing up there were always animals in my house. With my mother being a dog walker I am very used to dogs which need personalised care, including basic puppy training, administering medications, and extra patience for older dogs. My passion for animals ensures that every dog in my care receives the attention, affection, and tailored care they need to feel safe and happy. Whether it’s playful walks or calm companionship, I’m dedicated to creating a positive and stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. I own two Pomeranians, Pablo who is 8 and Atom who is 1 1/2. They both love the company of other dogs and are very gentle. I am self-employed so I get to choose when and where I work. I am available to board weekdays and most weekends. I play hockey on Saturdays but I can be flexible with when I play if I am given enough notice. My garden is all fenced off as I have two small Pomeranians of my own which absolutely love the company of other dogs. My garden is also quite large so there is plenty of space to roam around.

“Amazing, Emily and Dan took great care of our dogs, a Labrador and a GSD 6 month old puppy. Took them on a great walk and they got to play with their lovely dogs. We really loved all the photos we got so we could see how our boys were getting on. It was very clear from the first conversations we had and the questions they had from us that they love dogs and really cared about looking after them properly. We would definitely leave our dogs with them again.”

“Paris was in great hands with Tommy and Megan. They clearly made my pup feel very welcome and looked after her beautifully. They kept me up-to-date with how she was doing, sending photos and information. A really lovely couple who have a great way with dogs, and with people! I’d be very happy to recommend, and to use them again.”

“Very easy experience of dog sitting with Tilly. Madge was very happy to be left with her and I got a lovely video of Madge having fun during her stay which was really reassuring. Very quick and responsive communication. Thank you Tilly!”

“Amanda and her family were absolutely amazing with my 4 month old puppy Rusty! They kept me up to date throughout the stay with lovely pictures and notes on how he was doing. I’d recommend Amanda to anyone who wants a dog loving family to take care of their dog!”

“Sophie took great care of our puppy Arnold for the day! It was the first time we’d left him with someone other than family and Sophie really made us feel at ease. She was very understanding and patient of his puppy ways, and it seems like Arnold had a great time -he didn’t want to leave!”

“We could not reccomend Alec and his lovely family enough. Prior to our meet and greet we warned Alec that our dog Walter can be nervous around men. Instantly he put our mind at ease, providing ways in which he would reassure Walter when meeting. It turns out thanks to Alec, Amy and their two lovely girls joint kind and caring approach, we didn’t need to worry at all! Walter acted as though he’d known Alec and his lovely family for years, instantly playing in their amazing large garden and inside their beautiful home. We already have future bookings planned in but prior Alec and Amy have gone out of their way to help us super last minute with an additional booking and we couldn’t be more grateful. Pictures and videos were sent throughout and Walter was practically smiling with happiness! It was such a relief knowing he can be quite anxious at times, to see Walter feel so comfortable, happy and at home in their presence. We feel so lucky to have found Alec and his lovely family and could not reccomend them more!”

“Belle loved staying with Ellie, she’s had loads of fun and exercise. She’s been well loved in Ellie’s home and the regular photos show how happy she was to be there, we will return. Thank you xx”
“Megan did a great job looking after Eddie. When I left him he was quite reluctant to stay as it was the first time they'd met. So I was a bit worried that he wouldn't settle but Megan managed to settle him in and sent me a text to say that he was ok which was very reassuring. I left some food for him which I thought he'd probably leave ...but he ate it! which shows how happy he was with her.”

“First time I’ve had a dog-sitter/walker so was apprehensive as my 13-month-old is a bit lively but Sally put me at ease on our meet and greet and adapted her plans during the week to accommodate the dog and make things slightly more familiar for him. Great feedback through the week while we were away, which was another reassurance for us. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.”

About: I have always loved dogs and understand that every pet has their own personality, routine and needs. What sets me apart is the time and attention I give to each dog. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, active playtime or simply companionship and cuddles, I tailor my care to suit them. I am patient with nervous dogs, attentive to senior dogs who may need a slower pace, and committed to maintaining your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible. I understand how important it is for owners to feel confident that their dog is safe, happy and well cared for. That’s why I provide regular updates, photos and messages throughout their stay. My aim is to create a relaxed, home from home environment where dogs can settle in quickly, enjoy plenty of attention and have fun with their new four legged friend. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine as I have my own Sprocker Spaniel, so walks, playtime, feeding and plenty of attention are built into every day. I work to maintain each dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, exercise and any special requirements. Your dog’s safety, comfort and wellbeing are my top priorities. I provide a calm, secure and welcoming home environment where dogs are treated as part of the family. Before any stay, I like to learn about your dog’s routine, personality, preferences and any special requirements so I can provide the best possible care. I have a friendly Sprocker Spaniel at home, so I only accept dogs that are comfortable around other dogs and enjoy canine company. All interactions are carefully supervised to ensure everyone feels relaxed and safe. I follow owners’ instructions closely regarding feeding, exercise, medication and routines, and I make sure dogs have plenty of attention, enrichment and opportunities to rest. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your dog is happy and well cared for while you’re away.

About: I’m a 19‑year‑old Bio Veterinary Science student working towards becoming a vet, so animals have always been my whole world! Growing up on a small beef farm and around horses my whole life, I’ve cared for everything from dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and geckos to livestock. I’ve gained hands‑on experience in vet practices, horse yards and farms, and I share my home with three rescue dogs - in fact, nearly all the animals I’ve cared for have been rescues. This means I’m fully confident giving medication, providing extra medical care, and understanding every pet’s unique needs, whether they’re shy, senior, or just need a little extra patience. I currently work in hospitality, but let’s be honest, I always found people’s dogs far more interesting than the customers themselves! Reliable, kind, and ready to give your furry friend exactly the care they deserve. I’m a university student studying Bio‑Veterinary Science, living at home with my own rescue pets so I’m fully used to daily care! My timetable is very flexible, with many online lessons and small contact hours — I drive locally, so I can easily fit visits and walks around my studies, with plenty of free time to give your pet my full attention. I provide all care in your pet’s own familiar home, no stress, no new environments, just keeping their normal routine exactly as you leave it. As an lifelong rescue carer, I understand their health, body language and boundaries perfectly. I’ll feed, groom, play, and give them calm, one‑to‑one attention; I also send regular photo/video updates, keep the home secure, and go the extra mile with little extras like watering plants or taking bins out so you can travel fully worry‑free.

Found Angela on Rover.com and couldn’t have worked out any better - our dog was at ease immediately, and thoroughly enjoyed her time with Angela (and her dog Dobby) on the varied daily walks. Can’t recommend Angela enough - fantastic family environment and long countryside walks, what dog could want more?! Will definitely be using Angela again..”

About: I've grown up with dogs, including our family working Yellow Labrador and Springer Spaniel, and I regularly care for friends' dogs, including a Dachshund and a Flat-Coated Retriever. I live close to beautiful countryside with plenty of scenic walking routes, and as a very active person who loves walking, your dog will enjoy lots of exercise, attention and affection. I work part-time from home and can offer a flexible routine around school hours. This means plenty of company, attention and daily walks. We’re lucky to live near beautiful countryside, and I love being outdoors and keeping dogs happy, active and well cared for. We provide a safe, welcoming home environment where dogs are treated as part of the family. Our secure fenced garden gives dogs a safe space to enjoy fresh air and play, alongside plenty of lovely countryside walks nearby. I take the time to understand each dog’s routine, personality and needs, ensuring they feel happy, relaxed and well cared for throughout their stay.
“Andrew and his family looked after Nora for a week, and I could not give a higher recommendation. The communication was excellent, and Nora was treated as one of their own. She is 14, so has her challenges, and she was very happy during the week. Thank you so much Andrew!”

“We are very pedantic when it comes to our cockapoo Reggie’s dog sitting but we can honestly say we are totally relaxed and at ease when Sophie minds him. We have had her looking after reg on single days and recently over an entire 9 day period when we went on holiday and can just say she’s an absolute joy to have looking after him - even taking him for vet appointments. He loves being there and we would recommend her to anyone with a pet they are having to leave for any period of time”

“Maddy was an excellent dog sitter to our 2 Maltese and our Italian Spinone. Maddy made them so welcome, I would happily use Maddy in the future and would recommend her to all my doggie friends Thanks again Maddy x”

About: As a dedicated dog mum myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your pet. I’ve always been around dogs and genuinely love caring for them, whether that’s long walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to their usual routine so they feel safe and comfortable. I’m patient, attentive, and treat every dog like they’re part of the family. I know every pup has their own personality and needs, and I’m happy to adapt to make sure they feel happy, relaxed, and well cared for while you’re away. Regular updates, photos, and lots of love are always included! I work from home twice per week however my office is dog friendly and huge / open plan . I spend weekends on walks and in the outdoors mainly. I have a garden outside front and back so plenty of space to run around. Dogs can enjoy my house as they please, no rules about them being on the sofa :)
“Can’t say enough about how great Megan was with Bear. This was the first time leaving Bear alone overnight and I was worried he wouldn’t be able to settle without family. Megan’s warmth and love of animals was apparent from the first meeting. She took Bear for such a lovely walk in the morning and he saw a waterfall and went for a nice swim. Do not have any hesitation in asking her to look after your pets. Triple A rating :) Awesome, Amazing and Approachable!”

“Vicky is lovely and Harry had a great time with her. Vicky kept us updated with messages and photos throughout the stay. I’d definitely recommend Vicky as a great person to look after anyone’s dog.”
About: I’ve grown up around dogs all my life & love being outdoors so I thought Rover was a perfect match for me! I had a 14 year old Springer Spaniel with me at home until last year and I’m feeling like my walks could use some canine company again! I’m a full-time Paramedic so my availability is not always the same but I work on average 3/4 days a week but I’m able to do before/after shifts & happy to do on my days off, could argue more flexible than a Monday-Friday 9-5! I have a fenced back garden and fenced front garden at my house. I live nearby plenty of country walking routes and I can assure that your dog will always be kept on their lead with me 😊
“Megan and Tommy were great ! The communication was top notch, constant updates with pictures, I was always at ease that Skye was well looked after, I would definitely recommend them to anyone! Thank you both for looking after Skye!”

“Once again Ugne was wonderful. This was the longest we have left Elvis with a sitter or anyone for over five years. It was great getting daily feedback and knowing we didn’t have to worry about him while on our holiday. I think Elvis thought he was on holiday as well! We are so happy to have found Ugne to trust with Elvis while we are away.”
