About: I have been a dog owner my whole adult life. My last dog lived to be 17 and my latest life angel Daisy, was a rescue at 12 months old. Taking on a rescue was harder work than I imagined but it is so worth the tough start. Daisy is now a well rounded, obedient loving dog that adores her little life now. She loves other doggies and so being a dog sitter will enhance her life and mine even more. I have a lot of time and love to give to your treasured friends. I have recently retired so I am at home all day after from those necessary trips out which don't take long. I am around all the time to look after your treasured angels I will take the time to understand your dog's feeding schedule, walking routine, exercise needs, and any special instructions before the booking starts. When caring for pets in my home, I make sure the environment is safe, calm, and dog-friendly with no hazards. I supervise pets carefully, make sure they get enough exercise and stimulation, and give them a comfortable place to rest. My priority is always making sure pets feel secure, cared for, and treated with the same patience and attention they would get from their owners. I am happy to send photographs throughout your pets stay with me.
“Our dog, Aya, is very nervous around new people and in new environments. Domenica and her partner made Aya feel so at home so quickly. They were kind and patient with her. They were communicative and very response with us. Amazing pet sitters! We couldn't recommend them more highly.”

About: I’ve taken care of a range of different animals since the age of 4. This has included my own animals, my family pets and my friends pets. Animals have always been my main priority and my career follows my passion for them. I work as a care assistant for a large veterinary hospital where caring for animals is the heart of the job. My aim as a pet sitter is to provide in-home care on a daily basis and always interact with clients to communicate concerns regarding their pets and to keep them updated while they aren't around. My responsibilities include daily walks, overnight care, daily drop ins, cage clean out/ litter box clean out, dog walking during the visit and administer of basic oral medications if this is required. I work full time at a veterinary hospital however my shifts vary. They work on a 2 week rotation of 7-3pm and 10-6pm. There will always be time to do drop ins and if I house sit, I will be there for your animal in the morning, evening and through the night. I work to the routine of the animal. I believe that an animals routine should not be changed as this will cause unnecessary stress, so whatever your pet needs I will work with to ensure the pet is happy and has a limited amount of stress.

About: You can include that preference naturally in your Rover description: “I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs in my home, providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment where they are treated like family. I specialize in caring for small dogs, particularly Shih Tzus, and understand their unique needs, personalities, and routines. During their stay, I provide plenty of attention, affection, playtime, and regular walks to ensure they feel happy and secure. I prefer to board small breeds only, allowing me to give each dog the individual care and attention they deserve. My goal is to provide a calm, home-from-home experience and complete peace of mind for pet owners while they’re away.” “Pet care fits well into my routine as I enjoy spending time outdoors and going for walks. I offer boarding on weekends and during school holidays, giving dogs plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship in a safe, loving home environment.” I have a secure fenced garden and my own fur baby who is kind and gentle to keep yours company. I love dogs and will take care of yours and treat them as if they were my own.
“Boba and Jango really enjoyed their stay with Maddie and her family ❤️ Despite a couple of issues early on Maddie worked tirelessly to ensure that they were settled in as quickly as possible to help us relax while we were away. This is the first time we have left them for this period of time and would highly recommend Maddie and her family without any hesitation.”

“Michelle took great care of Ralph during the June heatwave, she was really considerate of his needs during the hot weather which meant I didn’t have to worry about him while I was away! Michelle also sent loads of puppy updates on how Ralph was and he had the best time, thank you so much! 😊”

“Laura was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. She was warm, welcoming, and instantly made us feel comfortable leaving our dogs in her care. Throughout their stay, she looked after them beautifully and clearly treated them with kindness and genuine affection. Laura regularly sent us photos and updates, which really put our minds at ease and reassured us that our dogs were happy and settled. It meant so much to us knowing they were in such caring hands. She is a truly lovely and loving person, and we didn’t worry about our dogs at all while we were away. We would definitely book with Laura again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog boarder, thank you Laura”

“Emily looked after my almost 10 year old moggy over Christmas and did a wonderful job! My cat was happy and well tended to, the photos Emily sent were a reassurance and much appreciated, reading how my furbaby was doing while I was away was a lovely way to feel like I hadn't just abandoned her. I can't recommend Emily enough, she connected well from what I can tell with my animal, and I felt that she was safe and sound in Emily's hands. I hope Emily would consider sitting for my feline again ?”

About: I've lived with dogs all my life from the day I was born. I love all animals but dogs bring so much joy... they're a best friend.. a family member. I've owned a few dogs over the years, big and small... young and old... naughty and nice. I've also took dogs in who have become unwanted and kept them untill a good home has come up, all of which I'm still in touch with.. I visit regularly and I walk one of them with my dog twice a week. I also walk 2 other dogs for a friend and a family member with my dog at the local park. I meet up with othet dog walkers almost every day so that our dogs can ... just be dogs. My dog is a New Zealand Huntaway. He was born May 2017, he's over sociable and loves sharing his walks and his home with all dogs of any age and size as long as they like him too. He's very good with other dogs, he has no aggression in him at all... he runs away from dogs who play to rough. My cats are the boss with my dog and they stay out the way when othetr dogs are in the house. They're not dog lovers but they are tollorent. I love walking with dogs and my dog is almost a well trained dog. I always use time, patience, treats and praise... never punishment with my dog as I believe it's always going to work better. In my home... pets are family, they can have my sofa and my bed if they want unless a visiting dogs owner says no in which case I would respect the owners wishes but I feel comfort is always good.

“I couldn’t recommend Sophie enough, she’s just looked after our Jimmi for the week. Communication was fantastic with daily pictures and updates. I’ve come home to a lovely relaxed and happy cat! Thank you so much Sophie looking forward to using you in the future!”

I focus on creating positive experiences and happy memories, whether that means belly rubs on the couch, games in the yard, or peaceful nap times. I’m attentive to every dog’s comfort, and I treat them as if they were my own. Your dog’s happiness, safety, and well-being are my top priorities. I’m here to give you peace of mind while your pup enjoys a fun, caring stay! We no longer have dogs of our own so really enjoy having a doggy with us.. Available weekends to be at home and I work around your dogs normal routine. If dogs can be left for a period of time, helpful to know. Secure garden, access to local walks and park areas. It is important for me to provide a hole from home experience with the same rules. Bring your dogs favourite blanket toys. I am respectful when going to meet a dog for the first time, getting to know owners and dogs backgrounds and needs.
“Five stars is not enough to express how amazing this pet sitter is! She goes above and beyond to ensure pet welfare and happiness and makes sure to put the pet owner’s mind at ease. She helped us in an emergency situation and stepped in to look after our cats when we needed it the most. She nurtured our sick cat back to health and looked after our furry babies like her own. Couldn’t be more grateful and blessed to have found her and will definitely be keeping her contact for the future❤️”

About: Hi, I’m Becky — a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for cats, both personally and professionally. I’m calm, reliable, and experienced with a wide range of feline personalities — from confident cuddle-bugs to shy, sensitive souls who need a gentler approach. I’m happy to help with feeding routines, medication (oral), enrichment, playtime, and keeping everything clean and comfortable while you’re away. About: We had cats when i was very young, but they were gone by the time i was 11-12. For what its worth, I am good at cleaning even if I don't particularly enjoy it haha, and cats have always liked me because I'm pretty calm and let them keep to themselves if they want. Unfortunately i dont have any experience with giving medication, but if it's simple enough and the cat is easy to work with medication wise, I'm happy to discuss it at least (IE ear drops)
“Chloe kindly did a meet and greet prior to an upcoming booking. She is punctual and caring, communicates really well about what she has done for our dog and is a lovely person. Thank you!”

About: We have always had dogs in our family, I am experienced in looking after puppies, to dogs that get nervous etc. Since moving in with my partners family due to allergies we are unable to have dogs in the home. So I thought why not offer to look after other people’s dogs! I am home 24/7 currently, and looking to build up my portfolio on Rover. Any furry friends that come into my care will be waited on like royalty! Every dog can have different triggers/needs. Ensuring the dog has a safe space they can go to is vital, and also making sure any dangerous/harmful objects are out of reach, as I have first hand experience of a curious personality that knows no better!
About: My partner grew up with border terriers and, after very little convincing, we have been the loving owners of our own border for the last four years. We first considered dog boarding when we struggled to find care for our own dog, having never been in kennels and being used to a very loving and cosy environment, we knew it was essential to find him somewhere he could feel like he was part of the family. To be honest I'm not sure who was more nervous, me or him! We realised we couldn't be the first people to face this issue and, after speaking to close family (who it turns out were in exactly the same boat) we decided to open our home and start offering boarding for our favourite four legged friends. Our own dog is very social, he has a calm temperament and enjoys tennis balls, getting muddy and curling up on the sofa in the evening. We live in a house with a secure garden and easy access to lots of green space and streams for walks. Our own dog has quite strict dietary requirements so we are comfortable working with any needs your own dogs may have. We understand it can be a horrible feeling leaving your dog, whether it's the first time or the hundredth. We aim to reassure you that we will treat your pet with the same love, care and attention we would want for our own. We will be responsive to your unique requirements and rest assured you will receive many pupdates along the way! One of us works from home, meaning we can be flexible with pick up/drop off times. Whilst we usually only provide weekends, during the school holidays we have midweek availability. We have a house with a very secure garden. We use nearby fields for most of our walks and would follow your own instructions as per how often etc your dogs need exercising and what they like. There will be someone with your dog at all times whilst in our care. We offer a pre-meeting to ensure our own dog will be comfortable with yours (and vice versa) and are very happy to send updates and images of your dog's stay with us.
“George and Sophie! My dogs are both in love with them and cream crackered, which are both huge fur 2 high energy, difficult dogs, with both separation anxiety and reactivity! Thank you G&S xx”

About: I have been a devoted pet owner from an early age. My Staffordshire, Buddy, lived with epilepsy for 8 years, teaching me patience, care, and the importance of tailored attention. She’s treated him like he’s her own, by little touches such as the paddling pool and doggie ice cream as well as lots of long walks and photos daily. He always gets really excited when he goes there. Will definitely be rebooking again. Thanks so much. Emily :) x Yoda will look forward to seeing you again!!!”

“Megan has been a fantastic and reliable dog walker for my Labrador Lainey, always giving her a great walk and taking her to different spots with lovely photo updates!. Thank you for giving Lainey the best walks on my office days, Megan 🫶”

About: I’ve been a pet owner for 12 years now, starting with a gorgeous black Lab and we are now overrun with Pugs! I foster for a Pug Rescue charity and currently have 3 Pugs and a chocolate Labrador. I’ve previously cared for a senior dog who was incontinent, and one of our fosters has mobility issues so am experienced there. I own a dog pushchair so if you have a senior dog who might get tired, I can bring it along! My own Labrador is dog reactive, so I’ve had a lot of 1-1 training on how to manage this. I currently work Tues to Thurs, but am free Mondays, Fridays and weekends. I am happy to try and shuffle things around with a bit of notice. I will be respectful of your home and whatever rules and routines you have in place for your dog. If doing a drop in visit I am happy to pick up poo, play and feed, and have cuddles!

About: I’ve grown up with dogs in my family, a boxer and a golden retriever, and have taken care of them by feeding, walking, washing and playing with them. I have visited family members homes to feed their pets and check up on them when they are not present. On occasions I have done pet sitting with some of my friends for one of their relatives. I have been around all ages of dogs, handling their hyper moments and quieter ones too. Currently a University student home for the summer. I’m completely flexible with hours and days to take care of your pets and give them the exercise they need. Safety - when walking my dog I use a fixed leash and harness in order to keep them from wandering too far, especially when other dog walkers are nearby. On longer walks I always take a bottle of water with me for my dog and allow them to rest in the shade. I am aware of other people and animals when taking my dog on a walk, only letting them off when I’m in a quieter area as not to disturb others. Trust - I will keep owners updated on our walks, communicating effectively their pets behaviour and any problems that might have occurred. Environment - Although living on a busy road, I am not far from a park where there are large fields and paths for my dog to walk and explore, taking them there for long walks in the summer. Near my house there are also shorter routes that are near grassy areas. All these areas are popular for dog walkers.
“nicole was lovely! punctual and super reliable. she regularly gave updates to let me know my dogs were okay, and cleaned up any accidents they had with no issue. i would definitely use her again!”

About: Animals are a big part of my life. I’ve had many animals in my life and have experience working with animals such as dogs, cats and rabbits, through my volunteering at an animal sanctuary, and my job at a Staffie rescue. I have 1 dog (an American bulldog), a cat, crested gecko and snails. I love seeing new animals and it would be great meeting all kinds of new breeds. I think I would make a great pet walker/ sitter as I would care for your pets just as I care for my own animals as I understand that your pets are your family. Being an animal lover all I would like to do is let your animals have a great walk or stay in their own home and I hope to do that! I am currently working part time at a Staffie rescue which means I have plenty of time to look after your animals too! My working hours tend to be 7am-12pm so I can work around those a lot of the time and I only work a couple days a week. I can provide dog walking, sitting and cat sitting. Cat sitting involves a few visits a day to make sure they are fed and to provide cuddles. Dog sitting includes staying in the home to provide all the attention the dog needs and includes walks.
About: I’ve had the joy of caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities—from playful puppies to gentle seniors needing extra patience and attention. With hands-on experience in daily walks, feeding and basic training, I ensure every dog feels safe, loved, and part of the family. I understand that each dog is unique, and I’m dedicated to meeting their individual needs with care and compassion. What makes my dog sitting special is the secure, fun, and loving home environment I provide. Dogs in my care have the freedom to explore, play, and relax in a safe, dog-friendly space—no cages or stressful environments.
About: I’ve had cats my whole life and fed and cleaned up after cats of all ages for friends and family while they went away. I have a dog of my own and love walking. I’m available for drop in visits to feed and clean up after cats or dogs throughout the day and at weekends. I can also walk your dog on weekdays or weekends. I can feed your cat and sort out the cat litter tray. I can play with the cat for a while if they would like that. I can walk your dog various lengths of time to suit your dog.
About: I’m a calm, experienced dog carer with over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I work freelance, so I’m home most days and able to give dogs plenty of attention, routine, and companionship. I’m especially good with anxious, sensitive, or older dogs who need a steady, reassuring presence. I work freelance in the arts so my schedule is very flexible and I’m home most days. This means I can easily fit pet care into my daily routine and give dogs plenty of time, attention, and consistency. I also work at a doggy day care, giving me experience with dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I can often accept last-minute and short-notice bookings, especially on weekdays. My home is calm, secure, and dog-friendly, with a fenced garden and plenty of indoor space. I live in a two-bedroom house, so dogs can have their own quiet area if they need space to settle or decompress. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I follow all instructions closely, including feeding routines, walks, medication, play, and enrichment. To keep pets safe, relaxed, and comfortable.

“Star dog walker, took really good care of my border collie and went above and beyond walking him and doing some training. He was so happy after his walks and so excited to see her. Would definitely use again.”

About: I’ve always had dogs since I was young and have experience with many different breeds. I am fully licensed, fully insured, have a Level 3 with IMDT for dog boarding, have dog first aid and I am DBS checked. I work from home and so I am able to look after pets all day, we have Bordesley fields right next to us so will have daily walks and loads of toilet breaks and attention. If I do need to go out in the day it will be no longer than 2/3 hours. I have a son who is dog mad, he keeps asking for his own! Me, my partner and my son all absolutely adore dogs and we’re a very active family, often going on long walks or hikes, having days out at the beach or just having a rest day in front of the TV. I have my own personal insurance through Protectivity. Please ensure times are confirmed as I do work full time and have school runs, I need to ensure drop offs don’t mix with the school runs/any work meetings I may have. I have a fenced garden and walks just outside my house with a big field only a 2 minute drive away. They will get loads of big walks if needed or short walks for older dogs or shorter legs. We have a bath to wash them down if they get muddy and of course they are allowed on the furniture if that’s what they are used to. We are happy to do whatever works best for you, just let us know your requirements and we will honour them.

About: I grew up with dogs in the home, even spent a few years on farmland, so I have experience with dogs ranging from a chihuahua or jack russell all the way up to big huskies and labradours. Having grown up with them I'd like to say my intuition is good when it comes to dogs, In particular I'm good at correcting little things like pulling too hard on a walk, or being too boisterous when playing. But my main concern is actually just to make sure the dogs have a good time, my view of it is I'll correct them if they do something wrong but ultimately I'm not here to be a dictator to them either. I'm also quite calm and patient, so if there is a dog who has troubling behaviour at times, I'm happy to work with that. Not currently working, my dream job is actually to be a teacher, I have 4 going on 5 years experience working with kids, but obviously its not always easy to get a non temporary job in that industry at my age. I'm relatively free, but I like to have a good idea of when I'm doing X thing. I'm happy to work around your own schedule if anything changes, within reason. If something important comes up, no worries, or if you give me an hour or twos notice, thats also fine. I do travel on a bike though, and when discussing availability I will have to factor that in. Unfortunately I live in a flat so I wont be doing any pet care in my home. I have done pet care at the owners home before, so i have experience. I'm happy to take on board anything the owner wants of me while I'm in their home, and I always do what I can to leave the house/garden the way I found it

About: I’ve grown up with dogs all around and absolutely love them, the past year I have worked for a dog walking company. But would like more freedom and have decided to go out on my own. I’m currently doing a canine behaviours course, to give me a better understanding of why a dog could be reactive in a certain way and different ways to help them if I’m the right fit for the dog. I’m currently in the process of making my own dog walking company, I absolutely love going out on walks and being outside. And when you can combine that with a love of dogs, it makes the perfect job. I’m doing little jobs here and there so I can spend most of my time building something for myself, while doing my behaviour course. While doing a sit depending on what you would be wanting in the day, I will be with your pet from 6:30 till 8am the next morning. This way your pup will have plenty of company and can keep their evening routine. Depending on what your pups need I can also hire a secure field, so they can still get a good run around.
“Very professional on the first meet with Dora, lots of questions about routines and how Dora likes things as well as how she is around other dogs, children etc. Dora came back from her first walk very happy, had a drink and slept undisturbed for a couple of hours which is always a plus with an energetic springer. Hopefully many more walkies to come.”

About: I’ve cared for multiple pets over the years, including both dogs and cats, and have always treated them like part of the family. I understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, loved, and well looked after while you’re away. I’m attentive, patient, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, making sure they feel comfortable, happy, and cared for in my home. I work full time four days a week, but I’m home on weekends and have one weekday off, which allows me to be flexible with pet care. I plan my schedule around the pets I’m caring for to make sure they get plenty of attention, companionship, walks, and cuddles, and I’m always mindful of keeping to their usual routines. Pets in my care are treated like part of the family. We live in the countryside with a large, fully fenced garden, countryside walks just yards from our home, and an acre paddock where dogs can safely run and play. I tailor care to each pet’s usual routine, whether that’s long walks, playtime, or quieter time to relax. We have an extra large crate available for dogs who are used to sleeping in one, but dogs are also very welcome to sleep on the sofa and make themselves at home. our 2 year old German Pointer certainly does! My priority is always making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy, whether in my home or following an owner’s preferences.
