About: I started Dog Walking for Neighbours at 10, Pet Sitting and helping neighbours with horses from 14 and then Housing Sitting from the age of 16. I’ve grown up around cats, dogs and horses of all sizes and ages, from young animals through to seniors. I also have experience caring for rescue dogs and horses, so I understand the extra patience and care they can require. With every dog I’ve owned, I’ve attended training classes, and I even showed my rescue Border Collie, Ollie, who won first place in both the County Agility competition and the “Most Handsome Hound” category. Growing up, the family pets were primarily my responsibility, so I’m very comfortable with everything from puppy care and training to looking after older dogs with changing needs. I’m more than happy to get stuck in with muddy walks, messy paws, and all the less glamorous parts of pet care too! I’m 27 and have recently moved to the area for work. At the moment, I’m unable to have pets of my own as I live in shared accommodation and occasionally travel for work. I’ve really been missing having animals in my life, as they’ve been a huge part of my daily routine since I was a child. I currently work a 9 to 5 in transport logistics with a half day on Fridays, 12pm finishes. I am happy to do early morning walks and then afternoon and evening walks. Back home, I’m out til 10:30pm with our family dog so happy to do late nights. I am unable to do lunch walks or visits Monday to Thursday. I have no weekend commitments so would schedule my Saturday and Sundays around the pets schedule to maintain their routines. I have my own transport with a clean drivers license and have been driving for 10 years with a National Trust Membership, if you as a owner is happy, I am more then happy to take your pet off to nearby areas for them to explore. I will comply with all owners requests for their pets and these will always be my first port of call when it comes to care. If I am ever unsure, I will ask, communication is very important to me as I know when away from my own pet I am always thinking of them.

About: Since I was born, cats & dogs have been apart of my family, from Ginger Toms, Maine Coons’s , Tabby’s, Moggy’s, to Tonkinese. From Beagles, Dachshund’s, German Shepherds, Collies, and Labrador’s. , I’m also a member of the Cats Protection Agency Stroud branch. My work routine is as follows: Cheltenham - Monday - Thursday 8:00am-12:00pm / Friday 12:00pm-4:00pm. My weekends are free on a regular basis. Evening drop ins work for me also. I have a big garden area and outdoor space with my ground floor apartment away from any busy roads amongst a quiet area in Cirencester.

About: I have always had cats growing up and I’ve also cared for a variety of animals (including dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs) for many families within my town. I am fairly flexible due to recently graduating and now taking time to find a full time job. I am happy to do drop ins, walks or stay in your home any day of the week. I am comfortable learning your pets specific needs and commands as I understand how important a routine and consistency is for them. I am more than happy to communicate through messages and pictures as often as needed while you are away to ensure your confidence remains with me during my care.

“I wasn't actually at home while Kate walked my dogs but I received all the text alerts and follow-up notes bang on time and was reassured that all was well. My house- and dog-sitter also sent me very favourable comments and the dogs seemed very happy to see her. Kate was walking the boys during the period of the intense heatwave and was due to take them out at 5.30 each day but very kindly came out during the evening instead, between 7 and 8pm, so that they weren't subject to the heat.”

About: I have an 8 year old female Cocker Spaniel. Experience with drop in visits to friend’s dogs. New to Rover as a sitter myself. I am a teacher by day working 4 days a week. Mondays are my free days so have full availability on a Monday to suit your needs. I have a small fenced in garden. My garden does have astro turf. I can drive so happy to travel with your pup or to walk in your local area.

About: I’ve always had dogs in my life, I love every single dog I meet, no matter how bizarre, shy or crazy they are. I treat them as if they’re my own whilst also keeping their safety and happiness as my first priority. I’ve also been in Tanzania volunteering at Moshi dog rescue for the past three months helping with dog walks, grooming, feeding and general cleaning withinn in the sanctuary. This experience has just made my love for dogs even more intense. I work part time as an on call care manager, but I have plenty of time outside of work. I can also drive, so I’m happy to commute to wherever your fur baby is! I keep the owners home cleaner than they left it and clean up any mess whilst having fun with your pup! I will send regular photo/video updates to ensure you they’re in safe hands. I make sure that your home is fully secure and will not leave your dogs unattended for long periods of time!

About: I’m Dan, an experienced house sitter and lifelong animal owner. For around two to three years, I had a regular house-sitting arrangement for a client who divided her time between the UK and overseas. I looked after her home, two dogs, a cat, two Shetland ponies and a horse, with stays ranging from weekends to three or four months at a time. I maintained this arrangement alongside working in hospitality in the village, so I understand the importance of dependable routines, clear communication and balancing work commitments with the animals’ needs. Being trusted with someone’s home and pets over such extended periods is a responsibility I take seriously. I’ve grown up with dogs since the age of seven and have owned French bulldogs, pugs, German Shorthaired Pointers, Cocker Spaniels, cats, reptiles and horses. This has given me hands-on experience with smaller companion dogs, larger energetic gundogs and equine care, while recognising that every animal needs an individual approach. My own dogs are very much part of the family. When I moved overseas to live, they came with me. I understand the attachment owners feel and how reassuring it is to know their animals are comfortable, settled and properly cared for. Whether you need walks, daytime visits or overnight care, I’ll take time to understand your pet’s routine and agree arrangements that meet their needs. You can expect regular photographs and updates, careful attention to your instructions and respect for your home and privacy. Life with my own dogs already revolves around walks, meals and making time for company, so pet care is a natural part of my day. Having returned to the UK from living overseas, I am working part time as a hospitality consultant and I have a flexible schedule for walks, drop-ins and overnight stays, whether your dog enjoys a proper outing or a gentle potter with plenty of sniffing stops. During house sits, I may pop out for other local walks or visits. We’ll agree this beforehand so you know what to expect and your pet gets the attention and routine they need. My calendar shows my current availability. I know that handing over your keys and leaving your pets with someone is a big thing. I like to meet beforehand so we can have a chat, your pets can get to know me and you can tell me about their little quirks—from favourite hiding places to the precise time dinner is apparently overdue. I’ll keep their usual routine, follow your instructions and give them company on their terms, whether that means a game, some fuss or quietly sharing a room. Walks will suit your dog’s needs, with suitable leads and harnesses, and I won’t pair them with another dog without your agreement. You’ll receive photographs and updates, and I’ll treat your home with care and respect. We’ll also cover the practical details, including secure doors and gates, veterinary information and emergency contacts, so I’m prepared if anything unexpected happens.
