Dog Care for the Most Discerning!
Hi I’m Kirsti and I live in one of the most beautiful parts of the country, the South Downs with my Sussex Spaniel Bentley. With over 30 years of hands on dog training experience, I’ve had the absolute joy of working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and sass levels. As a certified Canine Behaviourist and qualified Guide Dog puppy trainer and experienced Gundog trainer too, I understand not just how dogs behave but why they behave the way they do. It’s my passion to help every dog live their best tail wagging life. I have extensive experience of all breeds from Great Danes to Pomeranians. Nestled in the rural peace of the countryside, surrounded by National Trust forests and commons, it provides an abundance of varied and interesting walks and adventures for dogs. The south coast and miles of sandy beaches and dunes are only 30 mins away too for those water dogs out there!. I offer flexible dog daycare and long walks, I will have my dog Bentley to keep your dog company, and all pups get VIP treatment (Very Important Pooch, naturally). I’m also a trained Veterinary Technician, and security checked to SC level for your peace of mind. I am able to cater for disabled dogs, older dogs and pups from 6 weeks old. When pups stay with me I will provide training in with their stay. Whether your pup needs a calm countryside stay, structured behavioural training, or a joyful walk in the fresh air, I’m here to help. One-to-one walks Group walks for the social butterflies Tailored behaviour consultations Comfortable, home from home boarding Short notice bookings welcome

Safety, trust & environment
Whether a dog stays with me or I care for them in their own home, I treat every pet as if they were my own. In my home, dogs enjoy a calm, countryside retreat with plenty of space to sniff, explore, and relax. They have access to a large, secure garden, comfy resting areas, and the gentle company of my Sussex Spaniel, Bentley. I keep their routines as close as possible to what they’re used to, from feeding schedules and medication to bedtime snuggles and favourite toys. Training and enrichment are woven into their stay, especially for pups or dogs with specific behavioural needs. When I’m in a pet owner’s home, I offer a calm, confident presence that helps pets feel secure in their familiar environment. I follow all instructions closely, maintain their normal routine, and keep you updated with regular photos and paw-gress reports. Whether it’s administering medication, working on behaviour goals, or simply giving them company and cuddles, I bring over 30 years of experience and genuine care to every visit.
Ratings and reviews
Kirsti looked after Archie for 3 weeks in October whilst we were on holiday. Having had surgery recently Archie needed special care and attention all of which Kirsti did including keeping up his physio exercises and taking him for hydro therapy appointments as well as lots of interesting walks with her own dog. We feel very lucky to have found Kirsti and would definitely use her again if the opportunity arose.

It was Archie’s first stay with Kirsti and he had a lovely time. He’s looking forward to coming back very soon when we go on holiday.

Kirsti had Loki overnight and I was confident before dropping him off that he was in the best hands. From the video meet beforehand to handover of Loki, I knew not only was he going to be safe and well looked after, he would be comfortable there too. Kirsti and Bentley welcomed Loki with open arms, he had long walks in the vast countryside around the house, and playtime of which I was kept up to date throughout the day. I would definitely recommend Kirsti, and Loki will be back soon I'm sure.

Kirsti had our 8 month old labrador puppy Cookie for her first "holiday" away from us for a night, and my, it indeed was a holiday for Cookie! She clearly had a blast and I feel a little bad for having to take Cookie away from Kirsti and her dog Bentley. Kirsti was friendly, professional and very transparent throughout and had prepared for Cookie's arrival by setting up a little "pool" for her and puppy proofing the house. The location is amazing and Cookie had some lovely walks and a lovely garden to play around with Bentley. Kirsti sent so many photos and videos of Cookie while we were away I didn't have any time or cause to worry at all. You can easily see that Kirsti knows about dogs and truly cares for them. I have nothing I can fault and I'm already looking to book her for our next holiday. 5 stars!!!

Fantastic service. We felt confident leaving Nell with Kirsti for the first time and her experience with dogs shone through. Kirsti made sure Nell was at ease and checked she knew all about her routines beforehand. The messages and videos she sent through were reassuring and we felt super comfortable leaving Nell with her. Some great tips and advice, Nell loved her country walks, great experience, will definitely book again.

Kirsti looked after my cocker spaniel, Clover, for a week while I was on holiday, and I can't recommend her enough! Clover is a nervous girl and has had issues with resource guarding in the past. Kirsti was great at understanding Clover's needs, and her background in dog behaviour was evident in the way she tailored her approach to Clover's stay. I was really pleased with Clover's progress during her time away - Not only was Kirsti able to manage Clover's guarding, but she was also able to continue Clover's training for us, which was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Kirsti for dog boarding; your pup will be in great hands!

Pet care isn’t just part of my routine,it is my routine. From early morning walkies with my Sussex Spaniel Bentley, to structured training sessions and cuddle filled evenings, caring for dogs is how I spend my days and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I only take on a small number of dogs at a time to ensure every pup gets the attention, stimulation, and calm environment they deserve. My home and garden are set up for dogs to feel safe, relaxed, and enriched. Whether it’s short notice boarding, puppy training stays, or special care for older or disabled dogs – it all fits seamlessly into the rhythm of my life here in the Cotswolds countryside. Every dog that stays becomes part of our little pack – Bentley included – and their care is built into every part of my daily and weekly schedule. From enrichment activities to behavioural support, each pup gets a tailored, loving experience.
