Hi, I’m Sophie, the owner of Dog Besties! 🐾 I provide reliable, personalised dog walking, drop-in visits and in-home pet sitting across Surrey, with a genuine passion for giving every dog the care, attention and companionship they deserve. Dog Besties is my full-time business, which means caring for your pets isn’t something I fit around another job — it’s what I do every day. I’m able to offer flexible scheduling, consistent communication and truly personalised one-to-one care, while keeping your dog’s routine as familiar and stress-free as possible. I’ve grown up around dogs and cats and have always loved animals. My own experience includes living with a Vizsla, German Shepherd, Labrador/Rottweiler cross (an overseas rescue) and Border Collie, giving me hands-on experience with a wide range of personalities, energy levels and behavioural needs. I understand that every dog is different. Some need long, stimulating walks and plenty of enrichment, while others may need a slower pace, extra reassurance or simply some company while you’re away. I’m confident adapting my approach to suit each individual dog and their needs — including anxious or nervous dogs who may need a little more patience and understanding. Over the years, I’ve regularly cared for friends’ and family members’ pets, and I still love borrowing my parents’ dogs whenever I can! Caring for animals has always felt completely natural to me, and I genuinely believe pets are family — so that’s exactly how I treat them. Whether it’s a structured walk, a lunchtime drop-in, feeding and medication routines, playtime and enrichment, or looking after your pet in the comfort of their own home, my priority is always that they feel safe, happy and well cared for. I’ll also keep you updated throughout their time with me, with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your bestie is in safe hands. ❤️ I can’t wait to meet you and your Dog Bestie! 🐶

Safety, trust and comfort always come first. I take the time to understand your pet’s usual routine, personality and needs, and I’ll follow your instructions closely — from feeding schedules and walk times to medication, boundaries and house rules. I’m also attentive to body language and behaviour so I can adapt my approach and help your pet feel safe, comfortable and relaxed while they’re in my care.

Sophie and her partner were amazing looking after Cecil for a long weekend. It was his first time being looked after by someone else, and they put us completely at ease by sending pictures and updates. He looked so happy on walks and relaxing with them, we wouldn't hesitate for them to house sit with him again.
Well I did not have to worry, the girls looked after the pup and the house . Got home after a couple of days away and pup was happy and clearly been spoilt, house was tidy and so we were happy. Very happy with the girls and the way they looked after our dog and our home. Would highly recommend them and we will definitely be using again .
Sully loved Sophie popping in on him today. It was her first time doing it for him, and she was great. Reliable, great communication and couldn’t ask for more!
Sophie is a lovely caring person who adores dogs and has walked my working cocker spaniel a few times. My dog and I have no hesitation in recommending her and she is very sensible and calm.
Sophie is super friendly and has great communication throughout the booking process and during her time with our dog. Sophie has looked after our newly adopted pug twice and has already formed a lovely bond with him. Would highly recommend 🌷✨
Sophie was so thorough getting to know our boy before she took care of him - she made sure she knew his likes, dislikes and quirks beforehand and sent pics to us whilst looking after him. He clearly had a lovely time as was snuggling with Sophie when I arrived to collect. He was super tired after his day/walk so sleeping like a dream now!

Schedule
Dog Besties is my full-time business, so caring for pets is my main focus throughout the week. This means I have plenty of flexibility to fit walks, drop-in visits and house sitting around your pet’s individual routine. I always plan my days carefully so I can give each pet the time, attention and care they deserve, rather than rushing between bookings.

- Before caring for your pet, I’d love to know as much as possible about their personality, routine and individual needs. Please let me know about their feeding schedule, exercise requirements, medical needs, temperament and any behavioural quirks. It’s also helpful to know how they are with strangers, children and other animals, as well as anything that may make them nervous or uncomfortable. The more I know, the more I can make sure their time with me feels safe, familiar and stress-free.
