Pet care experience

Student, hiker, & animal lover

I’ve grown up looking after my own dog and looking after friend’s dogs, so I’m very comfortable with different breeds and personalities. I adore animals, and always excited to have a companion for the day! I love hiking, making me a perfect match for dogs that need plenty of exercise and attention.

Floyd loved Kirsten straight away! She has a calming manner, and I found her to be a fast and good communicator. Plus she sent photos :) Will book again.

Kirsten was brought up with a Jack Russell but just adores all dogs. She works in a cafe when home from University and knows all the dogs and their owners by name always taking time to pet them. Once she was old enough to be left at one on her own when we went on holiday we were happy to leave Beany with her knowing that she would be her priority (she would get up at 5am to walk her before starting work at 7 which for a teenager is something! Kirsten loves walking and hiking so whether your dog needs a stroll or a long walk that wouldn’t be a problem especially as we have the beach and countryside on our doorstep. From a totally unbiased mother!

I’ve never seen a dog that hasn’t loved Kirsten, and a dog that Kirsten hasn’t loved back. Any dog would be more than safe with her (and probably have the time of their life).

Schedule

As a university student, my schedule is flexible, with occasional lectures and a part-time role in a cafe. I love spending time outdoors and being around animals, so dog sitting works perfectly into my routine, and is a perfect opportunity for me to stretch my legs!

Safety, trust & environment

I have no other animals in the house, and have a small, safe garden dogs. There is also a lovely park next to my house, and I have a car to take dogs to nice walking areas.

A typical day

I love to be outdoors, so a typical day would involve plenty of fresh air. If your dog enjoys being active I will happily take them on long walks, but always happy to take a slower, gentle pace if needed.
