Your Pup's Second-Favourite Human 🐾

I’ve owned dogs my entire life and caring for them is second nature to me. I currently have a beautiful Working Cocker puppy, so I’m very comfortable with training basics like potty training, leash manners, and reinforcing good behaviour. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and understand the patience, gentleness, and extra attention they may need. Whether your dog is young and energetic or older and more relaxed, I provide attentive, loving care tailored to their needs.

Gus enjoyed his stay with, Lewis was very communicative and Gus seemed to enjoy having a puppy to play with!

From the moment we dropped them off, it was clear Arlo and Alfie were in great hands. Lewis looked after both dogs while we were away in Spain for the week and honestly couldn’t have done a better job. Juggling two dogs was no problem at all — they were happy, well exercised, and clearly loved their time with him and Jett. We received regular updates and came home to two very content pups. We’d absolutely book Lewis again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, caring dog sitter. The puppy cuddles with Jett were an added bonus too!

Lewis looked after my dog Bear while I was away and I honestly think Bear was disappointed to come home. He was clearly very happy, well exercised, and thoroughly spoiled. Lewis kept me updated and made everything completely stress-free. I came back to a relaxed, happy dog and would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for someone who treats your dog like their own.

Lewis looked after my dog Maisie while I was on holiday and I couldn’t have asked for better care. From the start, he was reliable, kind, and clearly very experienced with dogs. Maisie was happy, relaxed, and well looked after, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. Lewis kept me updated with pictures and treated Maisie like one of his own. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter.

Schedule

Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I run my own business based on a local farm, which means I’m usually at home throughout the day and only pop out to the farm as needed. This allows me to give pets plenty of attention, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship rather than being gone for long hours.

Safety, trust & environment

I care for pets in a safe, comfortable, and pet-friendly environment. I live in a detached house with a large, fully fenced back garden where dogs can play and explore securely. Downstairs has tiled floors, which are ideal for muddy paws and easy cleanup. After walks, especially on muddy days, I have a warm dog wash station in the back garden so dogs can be cleaned and dried before coming inside. Whether caring for pets in my home or a pet owner’s home, I stick closely to their usual routines, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions, to make sure they feel relaxed and well looked after.

Pets

A typical day

A typical day is built around keeping pets happy, comfortable, and active. We start the day with morning potty breaks, feeding, and some playtime. Depending on the dog’s needs, this is followed by walks, outdoor time in the large fenced garden, and enrichment activities like games, training practice, or puzzle toys. Throughout the day, pets get plenty of attention, cuddles, and supervised free time rather than being left alone. After walks or muddy adventures, dogs can enjoy a warm rinse at the outdoor wash station before relaxing indoors. Evenings are calm and cozy, with dinner, gentle play, and settling down for the night, following their usual routine as closely as possible.

Before caring for a pet, it’s important for me to know their daily routine, feeding schedule, walking needs, and any training cues they respond to. I also like to understand their personality, energy level, and how they interact with other pets and people. Health information is especially important, including any medical conditions, medications, allergies, or mobility issues. Knowing what comforts them, what may cause anxiety, and any habits or quirks helps me provide the best, most stress-free care possible.
