I have extensive experience caring for medium and large-breed dogs, having raised several over the years, and I am currently living with a Czech Wolfdog and a maine coon. I work full-time from home, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, structure, and companionship throughout the day. We live in an excellent area with access to large parks and beautiful nature spots. I regularly take dogs out for long walks, hikes, and play sessions, whether by car or on foot. When we’re not exploring nearby parks, my spacious, fully fenced back garden offers a safe and enjoyable space for dogs to roam, relax, and play freely. Dog care is part of my everyday life — I truly enjoy spending time with them, helping them stay active, engaged, and happy.

Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether it’s in my home or a pet owner’s home. I create a calm and comfortable environment for the pets, ensuring they feel secure and happy at all times. I’m highly attentive to their needs, from maintaining regular feeding and walking schedules to keeping their surroundings clean and safe. During walks, I’m vigilant about their interactions with other animals and the environment, avoiding potential triggers and ensuring their safety on busy streets or parks. I also communicate openly with pet owners, providing updates and following any specific care instructions they have. My goal is to build trust with both the pets and their owners, ensuring everyone feels confident and at ease.

I’m comfortable caring for dogs with anxiety or behaviour challenges. My own Czech Wolfdog required a lot of patience, training and management — he struggled with separation anxiety, nervous behaviours, and house-training at first — so I understand that every dog adjusts at their own pace. I’m happy to provide a calm, supportive environment and follow any guidelines you share to help your dog feel safe and settle in well.
A typical day
I tailor activities based on each dog’s preferences. If they already have favourite games or routines, I’m happy to follow whatever they’re most familiar with. If not, we’ll explore together using toys like balls, squeakers, tug ropes, or even sticks during outdoor play. I also enjoy using treats and simple cues to help them relax, engage, and have fun, whether we’re in my spacious garden or out on a walk in nearby parks.

Yan was absolutely brilliant with my 8-month-old husky puppy. He can be a bit of a handful and has some separation anxiety, so I was quite nervous about leaving him for the first time. Yan was so patient and calm — he really took the time to understand my dog’s personality. He sent me many daily photos and videos, which made me feel much more relaxed. He even took my dog out hiking sometimes and made sure he had plenty of social time with other dogs, including his own Czech Wolfdog, KK. I think having someone so patient and consistent around really helped my puppy’s anxiety — he’s much more confident now. I’ll definitely ask Yan for boarding again in the future!
