“Mina took care of our spring/collie cross 4yr old over three days. A good summary is our dog did not want to leave! Mina was absolutely lovely with her throughout. Very professional and affectionate towards our dog. Plenty of exercise with quality walks and fantastic communication throughout the stay. Couldn’t ask for more and would definitely recommend.”

“We were a little nervous leaving Hugo as he'd never stayed away from home before, but Leanne made the whole experience really easy. She was very responsive, responsible, and clearly knows how to look after dogs properly. Hugo had lots of lovely long walks and plenty of attention, and it was really reassuring to see how much affection he got from Leanne's son too. We could tell he was well cared for and happy. We'll definitely be booking with Leanne again in the future and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.”

About: Hi, I’m Rita. My experience with animals began growing up on a farm, where I was surrounded by animals from an early age. Since then, caring for animals has always been an important part of my life. I’ve had both dogs and cats of my own and volunteered for several years with the Animal Welfare Trust in Watford, where I gained hands-on experience caring for animals in a calm, attentive environment. I understand that most cats feel safest in their own space and routine, and I always aim to provide gentle, respectful care that keeps disruption to a minimum. I take time to understand each cat’s personality so I can approach them in a way that makes them feel comfortable. Whether it’s feeding, play, or simply keeping them company, I follow instructions carefully and treat every cat with patience and kindness. I look forward to meeting you and your cat.

I’m very attentive and will always follow your instructions closely to make sure your cat is cared for just the way they’re used to and feel comfortable and safe.

About: I’ve been super lucky to have cats around to care for since I was small, whether it was my grandparents’, friends’ or my own cat Casper, who loves nothing more than a nice spot in the sun or a lap to sit on. As a cat sitter, I prioritise being reliable and having a calm and caring nature, to ensure your cat is thoroughly and, of course, lovingly, looked after. I believe it’s really important to be attentive to your cat’s unique needs and personality so I’ll always make sure I’m doing what’s right for them individually, giving them companionship but also respecting their boundaries so they feel happy! This of course also includes keeping their home safe and clean, which might include cleaning litter boxes, making sure any windows and doors are closed and double-checking any other hazards that might be on your mind. I’m also very happy to keep you updated regularly and of course send lots of photos! I’d be delighted to look after your cat for you so please do get in touch! :)

“As soon as Chester saw his bag ready by the door he got so excited he wouldn’t eat his breakfast. He runs straight into Charlotte’s house which is so lovely because I can concentrate on my work, knowing he’s having a great day.”

“Noodle had such a lovely day and was so happy when I picked him up. It’s clear he was really well cared for and enjoyed himself. I really appreciated the updates throughout the day and knowing he was out on walks and having fun. It was so reassuring to see how comfortable and content he was. Thank you for taking such great care of him – I’d be very happy to leave Noodle with you again and would definitely recommend you to other owners!”

“We picked up a very happy puppy from Ashwini’s house - glad to have her as our regular daycare, & appreciate the great set up & professionalism. You can fully trust that your dog will be well looked after.”

“Taniya is a true dog lover and comes across as a very kind and gentle soul. She took Otis in for the day and he had a wonderful time. Although he can be pretty full on and doesn't know when to stop (especially when there's a ball available), she took all of that in her stride. From what we could tell, Taniya truly spoiled him with lots of cuddles, play time, and more than 1 trip to the park. Otis barely wanted to interact with us when he got home - he was either too tired after all of his fun with Taniya, or he'd had a taste of the good life and didn't want it to end! We'd love to use Taniya again for future daycare needs as everything went smoothly and she was a great fit for our dog.”

“Eva was so welcoming to Skye and Skye loved her instantly. She just watched me walk away. I’m always nervous leaving Skye but she reassured me she’d be fine and kept us updated on Skye throughout the day. We would 100% use Eva again. Possibly next week! Thank you SO much”

“Siobhan was amazing from the get go! I booked very last minute, and she accommodated my request to meet the day before the booking to ensure Yoshi was comfortable. She treated Yoshi like her own Kinnie, which resulted in Yoshi giving Siobhan kisses - which he NEVER does! A high compliment from Yoshi himself!”

About: Hi, I'm Susie 😊 Animals have been my one true passion ever since I can remember! My animal care journey started with guinea pigs and rabbits when I volunteered at a children's farm from 2016-2018. I adopted my own pair of guinea pigs from here and now have 4 girls of my own 🩷 I then volunteered with the National Animal Welfare trust, gaining experience with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperments. I worked with many animals with behavioural difficulties, health conditions and disabilities, which involved administering medication. I also learnt how to effectively train dogs and puppies through positive reinforcement during my time at NAWT. Unfortunately, volunteering was not allowed to continue during the pandemic, so I moved to providing private pet sitting, dog training and dog walking when it was allowed. My first client was an energetic field spaniel called Issy who you can see a picture of on my profile along with many of the other pets I've taken care of 🥰 At uni in Nottingham, I was ran the dog society and connected with many owners through organising group dog walks. I learnt so much about the different connections between pups and their owners and found this experience invaluable. I'm looking forward to loving more cats and dogs like family and am confident that I can guarantee the highest quality care 🐾 I am currently available to look after both cats and dogs in your own home and provide enriching local dog walks at all times. Please note that I don't drive but as long as you're accessible by bus and/or walk, I'm more than happy to make the journey 😊 I can look after your pets in your own home exactly as they are used to, for their maximum comfort. I am confident walking all breeds and following specific instructions tailored to your pets' individual needs.
About: *DUE TO CURRENT HOT WEATHER, I can offer very early or very late walks to avoid the sunshine! 🐶🐾 Hello :-) I'm Amy, and I have always been a huge lover of pets. Unfortunately, due to my mum being allergic to dog hair, we were unable to keep dogs growing up. The silver lining was that she wasn't allergic to cats, so I grew up surrounded by cats, chickens and ducks! In my adult years, I gained extensive experience fostering, including for Mayhew in North West London. I fostered multiple cats and kittens during that time, including poorly cats who required daily medication - all of whom you can see in my profile photos alongside my wonderful clients! I also have experience boarding pets within my own home. Due to my current work travel schedule, I feel unable to have a full-time pet of my own right now. Instead, I get my animal fix by giving lovely dogs walks around the local parks, doing overnight housesitting for all animals, and boarding animals when I am available. My home has many nearby parks so all doggy walks will be different adventures each time! When I am not traveling, I work in Central London and am incredibly flexible with my times and travel. I finish work around 16:00/16:30 Mon-Fri, but I can work from home regularly (including full weeks if needed) if you need a daytime sitter or walker. I also own my own car, so traveling to your neighborhood is incredibly easy. Whether your furry family member is a dog who needs an energetic walk or a pet that just needs some friendly company and overnight sitting, I treat every animal with the absolute highest level of attention, safety, and affection - just as I would my own. I will also follow your cues and guidance, especially on dog walks, to ensure all training is maintained and enforced. I also offer to meet up beforehand (free of charge) so we can chat through your pet's exact routine and ensure it's a perfect match! Also experienced in: 🐾Caring for other pets such as fish, snakes, guinea pigs, rabbits, birds and rodents (not all in the same cage at once...). 🎾 Playtime & Enrichment – Fetch, tug-of-war, puzzle toys etc. 💊 Medication & Special Care – If your pet/s needs medication or has specific care requirements, I am confident and experienced in following detailed instructions. 🐾Teaching cats a couple of tricks... I found this excellent for bonding when fostering, and was successful in getting the majority of my foster cats to at least sit on command! ✨ Extra peace of mind for overnight sits & pop-ins: To make sure your home runs smoothly while you're away, I also offer: - Bringing in the post - Watering your plants - Opening/closing curtains so the house looks occupied - Any other small household tasks you might need! 🛋️ Not only will I treat your pet/s as my own, I will also treat your home as I do my own too. 📸 Regular Updates – We know how much you miss your furry family member, so we'll keep you updated with photos, videos, and messages during their stay. I look forward to hearing from you, and already can't wait for the animal cuddles!! Amy :-) My work is desk-based, and I can be very flexible in when I go into the office. I like to get out a couple of times a day for a walk (and to get away from my desk!) so this would fit in very well for dog walking especially. I also can work from your home (I just need WiFi, and a monitor is perferred but not essential!) to give your pet the true attention and company they deserve. I care for pets and people's home as I do my own. I treat it with repect, and ensure you come home to a clean home and a happy pet/s!

I work in a dog-friendly office and love spending time with the dogs that visit. I'll treat your dog with the same care and attention I'd want for my own. I'm usually available on weekends, as well as a couple of days during the week when I work from home. This gives me plenty of time to provide walks, playtime, and company throughout the day. I also work in a dog-friendly office, but I'd only consider bringing a dog to work once I'd gotten to know them well and if their owner was completely comfortable with it. My priority is always making sure your dog feels safe, happy, and cared for in the environment that suits them best. I live in an apartment with my partner, and we have a large shared garden right downstairs, plus plenty of safe walking routes nearby for good walks and exercise. I keep things relaxed and always stick to each pet’s usual routine as much as possible, whether they’re staying with me or I’m looking after them in their own home.

About: Hi! I’m Natalia, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. Ever since I was 12, I’ve been looking after dogs, whether they were family pets or friends’ dogs. Now, I have my own high-maintenance border collie who keeps me on my toes! Because of that, I have plenty of experience with high-energy, anxious, and more demanding breeds. I’ve also attended dog training classes with my own dog to further understand behavior and strengthen our bond. Last summer, I volunteered at an animal shelter, where I worked with dogs of all sizes and personalities. On top of that, I actively participate in charity events for the RSPCA and Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, which has deepened my commitment to animal welfare. I genuinely love what I do, and I treat every dog I care for like they’re my own, providing them with the attention, care, and love they deserve. I have currently been providing dog sitting services at home in Hertfordshire however I am now back in Uni at Oxford so thought I’d do some dog walking/care here as well! If you’re looking for a regular dog walker just bear in mind that I am only around during university season (September-December, February-May) I’m a university student with lots of spare time and a super flexible schedule. I offer reliable and loving dog sitting in your home, dog walking, and drop-in visits. Whether your pup needs some company during the day or a fun walk around the block, I’ve got you covered! Please send me a message before making a booking! I currently don’t offer pet services in my own home due to having a dog myself! However, I provide house sitting in the owner's home instead, and while you're away, I’ll not only take great care of your dog, but also your home. I’ll make sure everything stays clean, tidy, and just the way you left it—so you can come back to a happy pup and a spotless space. I will also send you regular photos and videos of your pet throughout the day so you know what they are getting up to:)

About: Hi, I’m Andrew, I really love spending time with dogs and was a co-dogparent with my partner to two adopted ex-racing greyhounds for over 10 years. Since then we have enjoyed spending time walking other peoples’ dogs and having them stay with us in the house. I work from home most of the time and am always present when boarding, perhaps going out briefly once a day on errands. My partner is often home and loves dogs, so double attention and interaction for our guests at those times! In our house there are lots of soft places for dogs to enjoy. Our garden is fully secure and available for guests to explore at their convenience. We have no children or pets of our own. During boarding times, our guests are our top priority and we are diligent in catering to individual needs.
“Thank you for taking on the dogs with short notice and have looked after them with such great care and love. Would use Abigail again!”

About: Hi! I'm Heidi, a friendly, reliable and passionate pet sitter based in Watford (WD25). I share my home with one friendly young dog and two cats, and over the past few years I've cared for dogs and cats for friends, neighbours and Pawshake clients. Living with both dogs and cats has helped me understand different personalities and body language, allowing me to provide calm, patient and personalised care. My motivation to become a pet sitter comes from a genuine love for animals and a desire to provide them with a safe, comfortable home while their owners are away. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members, and I treat every guest as if they were my own. 🐾 Dog Boarding & Doggy Day Care I offer Dog Boarding and Doggy Day Care in my home. To ensure every dog receives plenty of love, attention and a calm environment, I only accept one booking at a time (unless the dogs are from the same household). This allows me to tailor each stay to your dog's individual routine and personality, so they receive the attention they deserve. During their stay, your dog will enjoy: Feeding according to their usual routine Fresh water available at all times Plenty of playtime, enrichment and cuddles Regular toilet breaks throughout the day One daily walk (approximately 30–60 minutes depending on your dog's age, energy level and routine) Supervised playtime in our fully fenced and secure garden Regular photo and video updates so you can enjoy seeing how they're getting on 🏡 Supervision & Daily Routine Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine. My husband and I arrange our schedules to ensure guest dogs receive plenty of attention and are never left alone for longer than three hours, in line with Pawshake's policy. I always try to keep your dog's routine as close to home as possible, including feeding times, exercise and sleeping arrangements, helping them settle into a new environment with minimal stress. ❤️ Our Home We live in a spacious house with a fully fenced and secure private garden, giving dogs plenty of space to explore, play and relax safely. Our home is shared with one friendly young dog and two cats. To ensure everyone is comfortable, guest dogs stay on the ground floor together with our dog, while our cats have their own dedicated room upstairs. This setup allows everyone to have their own space while keeping the environment calm and safe. Guest dogs sleep downstairs in their own crate overnight. To help maintain a familiar routine and ensure every dog's safety and comfort, I currently only accept dogs that are crate trained and comfortable sleeping independently overnight. You're welcome to bring your dog's own crate and bedding to help them feel even more at home, or I can provide a crate if needed. Before confirming any boarding booking, I always arrange a meet-and-greet. This gives us the opportunity to make sure your dog feels comfortable in our home and gets along well with my own dog, helping set everyone up for a happy and stress-free stay. For everyone's safety, I only accept fully vaccinated dogs. I work primarily from home, so guest dogs enjoy plenty of company throughout the day rather than being left alone for long periods. Their day includes regular toilet breaks, playtime in the garden, enrichment activities and a daily walk, all while following their usual home routine as closely as possible. Every dog has a different personality and routine, so I always take the time to get to know them before their stay. Whether your dog loves playing, enjoys relaxing in the garden or simply wants someone nearby while they nap, I adapt my care to suit their individual needs. Your pet's safety and wellbeing are always my top priority. I provide a calm, structured and loving home environment where every dog receives plenty of individual attention. I only accept one booking at a time (unless dogs are from the same household), allowing me to focus on your pet's individual needs and routine. As I work full-time from home, your dog will have company throughout the day and will never be left alone for longer than three hours. I keep to their usual feeding schedule, provide regular toilet breaks, a daily walk, supervised playtime in our secure garden and plenty of enrichment throughout the day. Our home has a fully fenced and secure private garden, and guest dogs stay on the ground floor together with my own friendly young dog. My two cats have their own dedicated room upstairs, giving both dogs and cats their own comfortable spaces. For everyone's safety and comfort, I currently only accept fully vaccinated, crate-trained dogs. Guest dogs sleep downstairs in their own crate overnight, helping them maintain a familiar bedtime routine in a new environment. Before every boarding booking, I arrange a meet-and-greet so we can ensure we're a good fit and that your dog feels comfortable with both my home and my own dog. Throughout every stay, I'll keep you updated with regular photos and videos so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.
“Julia went above and beyond when my dog got sick and went to my vet to pick up medication so that I wouldn’t have to come home early. She truly loves me dog like one of her own and I’m so thankful to have her in my neighborhood”

“Robin is brilliant! Much better than kennels. It's obvious that he loves dogs and they love him back. He shared videos of our puppy-dogs on various walks, which was way beyond what we expected. If there were 7 stars, he'd score 7.”

“Sacha and Christina were amazing. It was first time leaving my dog with anyone overnight so I was a bit nervous but there was no need as they were so reassuring and send regular updates. My dog Simba absolutely loved them and did not want to come home. I would definitely use them again x”
