Caring Pet Sitter and Dog Walker 🐈 🐕
Hi, I'm Sonia and I provide dog walking, pet sitting and boarding services in Ruthin and the surrounding areas. I work flexible hours from home so have good availability to look after your pet. My real passion however, is for animals, and I will do everything I can to keep your pet feeling happy and loved whilst you are away 🐶 😺 I have experience volunteering at an animal rescue, in both the cattery and kennels and have experience walking a variety of different dog breeds, both small and large. I'm happy to accept any breed but have experience with the following: Cocker & Springer Spaniels, Terriers (Staffies, Border Terriers, Jack Russels), GSDs, Greyhounds & Lurchers, Pugs and Chihuahas. I also have experience of dogs with certain behavioural tendencies and believe training and patience is the way forward. I also have plenty of experience caring for cats of varying temperaments, feeding them and helping them to socialise within a shelter environment.

We left our very traumatized Rescue dog with Sonia - and she was wonderful with her! Sonia treated her with such sensitivity and empathy, that our dog settled in immediately. Sonia was also so good at keeping her nervous mommy informed with updates, photos and videos! We will definitely use her again!!! 😘

Sonia was an incredible help while we were away! She came to meet us and our pooch Oscar prior to our booking to help ease our worries. She was very attentive while staying with Oscar and gave us regular, daily updates about what they had gotten up to and how Oscar was coping. Sonia cared for Oscar as if he was her own pet, showing him the same love and attention we gave him. Oscar appeared super happy and settled in all the photos and seemed very excited on his walks with Sonia! We were extremely happy with the service she provided and the pictures she sent over to us daily; she really helped to ease our nervousness while away. I would recommend Sonia to anyone who needs a pet sitter. Thank you Sonia, once again, for your help over our holiday and for caring for Oscar so well!

Schedule
In terms of schedule, I work flexible hours Mon-Fri so am available to care for your pet most dates and times. Just let me know what your preferred dog walking or pet sitting schedule looks like and I'll do my best to accommodate.

Safety, trust & environment
If a drop-in at your home is required, I'll follow the exact same care as you provide. Following your guidance, as you know your pet best. I'm happy to supervise your pet 24/7 for that duration.
A typical day
I'll adjust activities to your pet's needs so just let me know what your pet's individual likes/dislikes are. I'd love to take your dog out for a good walk to sniff out new smells. If your dog is good off leash and I'm confident in their recall, I'd love to play fetch with their favourite toy (within a secure, fenced area).
