About: Hi, I’m Louise, I’m the proud owner of Woody, my big-hearted 4-year-old Labrador cross (with a mix of Collie, Greyhound and German Shepherd) — he’s a gentle giant who keeps me busy and reminds me every day how much joy dogs bring. Caring for dogs combines two of my biggest passions: spending time outdoors and sharing life with four-legged friends. I regularly look after family dogs and love taking them on long, fun walks. Whether it’s cuddles at home, playtime in the garden, or a good stretch of the legs, I’ll make sure your pet feels happy, safe, and loved while in my care. I understand that every dog has their own personality, needs, and quirks. My goal is to provide a flexible, reliable service that gives you peace of mind and gives your dog the same level of love and attention I give Woody. I’m a stay at home mum so fully flexible with any routine. My children are older teenagers who love dogs. I’m very flexible and caring. We have a fully fenced garden with plenty of room to run around. There is a local park across the road for easy access to walking and I can drive to larger parks/woodlands for exploring.
About: Hi, my name is Chloe i have grown up with pets all my life. I am especially a dog lover and had a Jack Russell Terrier for 12 years but unfortunately she passed away last year due to cancer, so I am an expert at crazy terrier antics! It has left a huge hole in my heart and I am still not ready yet to get myself another dog, so I would love to be given the chance to look after some dogs or cats! I live in Bengeo and am happy to walk anywhere in Hertford to walk your dog. I currently only work part time so am available a lot of the time, there will always be someone in the house so your dog will never be alone i also have a very long garden and i love to take dogs for extra long walks along the river. Please let me know if you are interested. If you have more than 1 dog let me know and I can give you a discount. I'm currently only working part time from home so I am available most of the time during the week and also weekends at any time really I do not have any of my own pets and I have a very long fenced garden and very close to Hartham Common and Waterford Heath

“My Cockapoo Jeanie had a great day at Carina’s house playing with her dog Bella and her daughter. She was treated like part of the family right away and made herself at home in Bella’s comfy bed. Played in the garden throughout the day and went on a nice walk too. It was so nice to receive update photos and messages while I was at work and I felt happy knowing she was being cared for and I didn’t have to worry. Thank you Carina, Jeanie looks forward to her next stay with you 🥰”

About: I have looked after a cat, dogs, chinchillas, hamsters, and Guinea pigs. This is from me owning them myself or pet Sitting for friends and families. I had to care for my sweet little boy since he was a tiny 2 week old after his mummy abandoned him. This was a great opportunity and a beautiful experience to have such a dependent baby kitten in my life. I needed to help him to learn how to use the toilet and had to feed him milk with a spoon. I had to make sure he was warm enough and giving lots of love and affection , which only made our bond stronger. This was very different to the older cats I've rescued in my life. I've also had 2 dogs so aware of dental care, wrapping them up warm in winter and giving them lots of stimulation throughout the day. I am currently on maternity leave so from now until April 2025.I am fully available as I am home all day. From April, I only go into the office one day a week and the rest of the time I am working from home so your furry/ fluffy friend will have my company throughout the day. As a pet owner myself, I understand the anxiety and stress that comes with trying to find a reliable sitter. I will always send pictures updates Or have my phone available for you to call and Check-in whenever you need to. Because that's exactly what I do I have a fenced off garden? I have had cats and dogs myself. So I understand the importance of. Check-in the areas if IM going out with your dog checking it. Say check if there's other big dogs around that your dog might be scared of if your cats come in here. Make sure that they have a safe place where they can hide a snug. If they just feel anxious I will have all the systems in place to go. I know exactly what my dogs and my cats were like, and how I felt been on the other end.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs - greyhounds, collies and labradors - and also now have a Labrador of my own. I love spending time with and getting to know new furry friends, and love going out for long walks and runs with them. I’d love to be able to help out local dog owners in and around Hertfordshire. I have a flexible work environment and work from home most of the week, so I’ll have plenty of time to spend with your fur baby. I spend most weekends out and about walking my own dog - a Labrador called Ginny - and she would absolutely love a fellow dog to keep her company (where appropriate). I have a house with a secure fenced garden, and with AstroTurf for dogs to easily do their business if needed! Any dog is more than welcome at our home and my dog would love the extra company. I’m able to help out with both day care and holidays.
“I was so so pleased. My furbaby had such an amazing time with Laurita. She looked after and doted on Coco as if she was her own, which makes my heart melt. My furbaby is my whole world and it really eased my mind at work knowing she was in excellent and safe hands. I honestly can’t thank her enough. Coco can’t wait to see her and her lovely dog Maya next :)”

“Georgia was a great fit for Eddie, who can be very wary of new people but warmed to her immediately. On the second day of daycare, he was *very* excited to see her again, which says it all! Georgia was very flexible with timings, communicated updates well and responded quickly. Highly recommend.”

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
