“Excellent communication whilst she looked after our dog Buddy, we were updated continuously, with messages, pictures and even videos, Buddy returned home happy and well looked after. Will be using again for future stays and have discussed walks during working hours for Buddy. Lovely, friendly family with a nice, clean, house with access to an outdoor space and listened and asked any additional questions.”

“Sarah and her family were excellent! Communication throughout was great. Sarah was very friendly and engaging, by sending regular messages and photos, which reassured us. Would recommend very highly!”

“My dog has never been more happy to stay at someone’s else’s house as she has at Nishi’s . She is incredibly caring and loving and pays attention to all your dog’s needs and wants . She sends pictures everyday and little updates . I could not recommend her enough”

“My wife and my self, we found ourselves in such a situation that we had to give up our puppy for at least two weeks, unfortunately. Luckily, we have found Rover website and we decided to use Wendy offer. The first meeting with Wendy went very well and after a while we became sure that this is the best person for our furry puppy. She has a lot of knowledge about dogs and a great approach so our puppy felt like at home after first two minutes. Speeding up, Wendy has a great personality to be a dog sitter and for sure we will use her service again. Daily we was receiving photo and video updates on how Daisy is doing. Our puppy came back to home trained, calm with new manners :) (poop and wee outside the house) of which we are very, very happy. Thank you Wendy!”

“Aleksandra & her family was fantastic. She had Monty for the weekend whilst we were away seeing family. She kept me updated with how Monty was. She also sent me photos and videos which was amazing. I really appreciated that service from Aleksandra as it gave me so much peace of mind that Monty was okay. He was so very well looked after. Hugely recommend and we hope too see you again. Thank you so much for you amazing service Aleksandra. ??”

“Dean and his wife were amazing with Rocco. The process was easy and the communication was fantastic. Due to this being my first time, Dean made it comfortable and at ease sending photos and committing throughout his overnight stay. Would highly recommend and will use going forward.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better home for Dottie while we were away for two weeks! She was absolutely spoiled with love, attention, treats, and plenty of walks. It was so clear that she was treated like one of the family, and she loved every minute of her stay. The couple were absolutely amazing with Dottie and such genuinely lovely people. They kept us updated throughout with lots of photos and messages, which gave us complete peace of mind knowing she was so happy and well cared for. We came home to a very content and happy pup! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for caring, trustworthy dog sitters. Thank you both so much for taking such wonderful care of our girl! 🐾”

“Best sitter!! I was so scared to leave my baby with someone before, but i give it a try this time and Inga was looking after Totto for 2 days, she send me pictures all the time with him and keep me in touch with everything!! So happy with! Will definitely recommend her!!🩷”

“Many thanks to Amanda for looking after Teddy so well - dog boarding for 4 nights. He was welcomed into her home and treated as if he was her own - Amanda’s own two lovely dogs were also very welcoming to Teddy. It seemed as if he had been on his own little holiday with lovely walks across the fields and lots of attention. I picked him up tired but clearly very content. Amanda kept me updated throughout with updates and photos and was quick to respond to my messages on dates. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and I know Teddy will be very pleased to go back again- thank you!”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care Florina gave to our dog, Speedy. From the moment he arrived, it was clear he was in safe and loving hands. Florina kept us reassured with regular updates and plenty of photos, which meant so much to us while we were away. Most importantly, Speedy absolutely loves staying with her — he always looks so relaxed and happy. It’s such a comfort knowing he’s not just being looked after, but genuinely enjoying himself. We highly recommend Florina to anyone looking for someone reliable, caring, and attentive. A full 5-star experience!”

“Had absolute trust that casper would be looked after, we had regular updates of him out walking and chilling in the house :) would highly reccommend millie to anyone needing a reliable per sitter.....excellent service !!”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I know how important it is to find someone you genuinely trust to care for your dog. I offer a personal, home-from-home approach to dog care in Harpenden, with a maximum of 2 dogs staying with me at any one time. This means I can give each dog plenty of individual attention, affection, exercise and downtime, rather than providing a large group or kennel-style environment. I’m happy to provide doggy day care, overnight stays, regular or occasional walks and drop-in visits, adapting each day around your dog’s normal routine, personality and energy levels. Whether they love a good walk and lots of play, prefer a quieter day with plenty of company, or simply need someone dependable while you're out, I want them to feel comfortable and settled. I’m confident and comfortable around animals and understand that every dog is different. I’ll take the time to understand their routine, feeding, walking habits, likes and dislikes and any little quirks that make them who they are. As a dog owner myself, I also know how reassuring updates can be when you're away from your pet. I’m very happy to send photos and messages so you can see how they're getting on. My aim is simple, to offer the kind of care I would want for my own dog: personal, reliable and relaxed, with plenty of attention and a genuine home environment. I work flexibly from home, so pet care fits naturally into my day and dogs are not routinely left alone for long periods. I have my own Vizsla, Peanut, so daily walks and plenty of outdoor time are already part of our routine. I have access to over 350 acres of private land, which gives me lots of flexibility with walks. We can enjoy longer countryside walks, shorter outings or quieter routes away from other dogs depending on your dog's age, energy levels and individual needs. I keep the number of dogs I care for small, so I can adapt the day rather than expecting every dog to fit into the same routine. My priority is making your dog feel safe, settled and comfortable in our home. Peanut is a friendly resident Vizsla, and I like to arrange a meet beforehand so we can make sure the dogs are comfortable together and I can learn about your dog's personality and routine. Before their first stay, we'll discuss everything I need to know, including feeding, medication if applicable, sleeping arrangements, lead and recall requirements, behaviour around other dogs and anything that might make them anxious or unsettled. I'm an experienced animal owner of dogs, so I'm very comfortable reading behaviour and adjusting how I handle an animal rather than assuming every dog is the same. I'll follow your instructions carefully and keep you updated while you're away, including photos, so you can see that your dog is happy and settled.

“Aaliyah was so good with our two kittens, very responsive eventhough we had a lot of requests beforehand and all around very good with the kittens. I would 100% rebook her going forward as I truly trust them with her 😊”

“It was our second time using Ayca as our cat sitter. She went the extra mile looking after Ollie, playing and cuddling with him! Ayca provided us with daily updates and was very responsive during our time away. We were able to enjoy our holiday and be worry free. We would be using Ayca going forward and would highly recommend her.”

“Maya was fantastic, caring for Ebony and our new kitten Nico so well whilst we were away. It made us feel so at ease receiving regular updates and knowing a warm kind person was taking care of them. She regularly cleaned the litter trays, played with them lots and the house was prestine. We highly recommend Maya and will be booking her again soon. ”

About: I'm the world's greatest dog fan, and cats are cool too! I'd love to spend time with your pet and give it the love and attention it needs. I've had dogs in my life from a very young age and understand that they are not just a pet; they are equal members of a family and have their own individual personalities and characteristics. Whenever I see a dog my eyes light-up and I want to interact and talk to it. I have previously been told by some dog-owners that their dog behaves more open and socially towards me when meeting me, and I believe that this is because dogs have a sixth sense; they just know when they are meeting a true lover of dogs. Cats I adore for their often independent behaviour. I had cat in my family when I was a child, who was named Girlie. I have previous experience of caring for friend's and neighbour's cats (both roaming and indoor-cats) and I understand that they also can have their own habits and ways of living.
About: I’m the person who says hi to the dog before the owner! Whether we’re hanging out at your place or mine, your pet becomes part of my family. We have plenty of time to offer and we love the idea to spent time with your pet! We are available for walks boarding and more! we have a big fenced garden, dogs and cats are more then welcome on couch, or if you prefer we can visit your or cat in your place while you are at work.

“I’ve got lots of updates and sometimes even the playful videos from Samira. She is very professional, attentive and does everything according to feeding instructions. She even helped us setup the feeders, even gave Mochi a new toy and cleaned the messes Mochi made sometimes 😅. We will definitely ask Samira again next time!”

“Really good with the cats and made sure they were very well cared for during our first trip away in four years. I felt calm knowing they were in good hands, despite one of the cats being quite shy and nervous around any new people. Highly recommended, and a genuinely nice person.”

“Never used Rover before was let do at the last minute. Used the Rover app and was pleased how easy it was to use. Also was pleased that l could do half n hour slots or 1 hour slots Betty meet Jack and she really took to him.. Was really happy that l got photos and updates after each visit”

About: I grew up with a couple of mixed breed dogs, I've walked my neighbours dogs as a teenager and also more recently. I enjoyed volunteering at a few local animal rescue centres where I walked dogs needing homes and also played with pups. Over the last few years I have helped out a few friends while they were away by looking after their dogs and also cats. The dogs have at least two one hour walks a day and are cleaned after each walk as paws can get very muddy sometimes! I have been helping with feeding cats while their owner is away. I stay a little while at the owners house to play with the cats, make sure all 3 cats have eaten their food and that they have fresh water. I monitor their well being and make sure they have no injury or sickness (checking poo for dogs).

“Couldn’t be happier with the service that Jamie provided :) Jamie stayed with my cat toothless for 4 days while we were on holiday, Jamie followed all instructions given and even tidied my house for me before we came home ! Jamie took extra time and precautions when looking after my cat as I have quite bad pet anxiety. Jamie took all worries away and I enjoyed my holiday throughly!! Toothless loved having a face around especially because jamie would play with him for ages until he got tired or bored! I would definitely recommend booking Jamie to look after your furry friends, I will be!! See you soon Jamie. Thankyou again. 5 STARS!!! If I could give you more I would !”

“I would of given her more than five stars harley loved her she was very caring and always had time for her somtimes to play harley got loads of cuddles and affection and having videos sent not just pictures set my mind at ease when I was away in southend for a week in December definitely recommend her,and would have her to look after harley again r”

“Elena took wonderful care of my cat, Mochi, while I was away. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and clearly very experienced with animals. Mochi can be shy, but she quickly felt comfortable with Elena — which says a lot. I really appreciated the updates and the care she showed not just to Mochi but to the home as well. I returned to a happy, relaxed, and well-looked-after kitty (full of zoomies!). I wouldn’t hesitate to book Elena again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and loving pet sitter. Thank you so much, Elena 💛”

About: I've had dogs my whole life, starting when I was just 6 years old. I'm a proud owner of three dogs: Jimmy, an 11 year old Labrador; Blue, a 9 year old German Shepherd; and Scotch, a 9 year old Cocker Spaniel. Having owned large and small breeds across very different temperaments, I understand how to handle dogs of all kinds -energetic, calm, anxious, or senior. My dogs currently live with my family, and while I miss them dearly, it's exactly why I love spending time with other people's dogs. You can trust me to treat your pet like my own. I'm currently fully available, which means I can be flexible around your schedule rather than the other way around. I'm happy to walk dogs any day of the week, mornings, afternoons, or evenings, just let me know what works best for you and your pet. Your dog's safety is my top priority on every walk. I keep dogs on lead unless in a designated off-lead area, always carry water and waste bags, and never walk more than a small group at once to ensure each dog gets proper attention. Having owned and cared for three dogs of my own: a Labrador, a German Shepherd, and a Cocker Spaniel. I'm confident and calm with dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
“This was the first time we ever left our dog with anyone else so we were quite unsure. We are so lucky that we found Inga who is extremely professional, kind and accommodative. We left her for about 8 hours and she sent photos, videos and messages every now and then with all details of her movements, activities, her nature, her eating and also gave advice on many things. She treated her like one of her two own dogs and cleaned her ears generously. She kindly gave Luna a bag of apples to take home which we were not expecting and which Luna loves to eat. She accepted our request for day care at a very last minute and very willingly. We are beyond satisfied and definitely would bring Luna to her again and highly recommend her to other dog owners looking for boarding and day care. We are very grateful to Inga for everything she has done in just a few hours, it gave us peace of mind and trust!”

About: Although I’m new to Rover, I have experience in owning animals of all kinds, from cats to pups and even geckos. I’ve done local dog walking for over 5 years, and love spending time training and bonding with pups! I can also arrange pick up and drop off in Herts/beds. I’ve owned cats since I was a child and have a lot of experience with handling them. I’m currently at home for the summer holidays, so I’m looking to spend some time with your dog! My schedule would totally depend on your dog, whether they’d be up for a fun hike, or whether they’d prefer a cuddly slow paced day. I love making pets feel like part of the family while they’re with me. My home has a secure 6 foot fenced garden, cosy memory foam beds and lots of fresh water bowls around the house. Dogs can enjoy supervised garden time (weather permitting), plenty of fuss, and a calm place to relax. There are no children at home, so pets can settle in and feel comfortable during their stay.

“I’m new to owning a puppy and Wendy has looked after Maggie on many occasions and with her help I’ve survived the first few months with a puppy. Wendy has helped socialise her and train her but most of all Maggie loves going here. Wendy is an excellent sitter and I highly recommend her.”

About: I will be happy to look after your pet, because I have been taking care of my own pets since I was 10 years old. I love to have more animals around me and I enjoy taking care of them and play with them :) I have had 2 family dogs and my cat. Right now I have my own small dog German Spitz klein called Coco, he is friendly with other dogs and love to play! Shares his toys as well 😁 So we are going on long walks, we play in the park and at home with toys etc. Now we have lot of free time to spend our time with other doggies or cats :). I can do basic grooming as well. I respect the rules of how to take care of pets as my dog is trained and I understand the importance of consistency of training and commands.

About: Hi I’m Dean, Father of three and now a grandad! About: Hi! I’m Livia, I have a lifelong passion for animal care and a natural ability to understand what pets need to feel safe and happy. For years, my friends and family have trusted me to look after their beloved pets, manage their daily routines, and take them on engaging walks. I understand that every pet has a unique personality. I specialise in patient, intuitive care and have experience working with sensitive animals. In fact, I successfully helped a friend's anxiously attached dog become significantly more confident, social, and happy after just one week of structured, loving care. Whether your pet needs high-energy exercise, structured routine, or just a calm and patient companion, I am dedicated to providing a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment tailored to their exact needs. I have recently finished college and have chosen to focus on my home-based side hustles rather than rushed traditional employment. Because I work entirely from home on my own schedule, I am in the house pretty much all day, every day. I am not attending university, meaning I have a massive amount of free time both now and moving forward. Aside from occasional short outings with friends or family, my schedule is completely open and flexible. This routine allows me to easily structure my entire day around a pet's needs. I can offer constant companionship, frequent toilet breaks, structured feeding times, and long walks exactly when your pet requires them. Your pet will rarely be left alone and will receive dedicated love and attention throughout the day. In my home, I have a good setup with plenty of indoor space for a dog to safely chill, play, eat, and have fun. Out back, I have a good sized, fully fenced garden where dogs can stretch their legs safely. A unique feature of my home is our secure summer house in the garden. It is the perfect spot for dogs who want to enjoy the outdoor atmosphere while remaining safe and enclosed inside. Because the summer house has lockable doors, it can also function as a spacious, comfortable "luxury crate" setup. If a dog gets overwhelmed, needs a quiet space to decompress, or simply wants some alone time, this separate space works perfectly to help them relax. I always adapt my approach to what the pet needs—giving them constant attention or allowing them peaceful boundaries whenever they need it.
About: I have had pets since the age of 7 and frequently cat sit my sister’s ragdoll as well as having my own cat who I adopted. I have also helped to raise kittens and have dog walked friend’s dogs. I have cared for a deaf kitten on multiple occasions and also looked after a blind elderly cat for an extended period of time. I am able to adjust well to any needs and I hope my reviews help to highlight my experiences well. I am LCF alumni working part time both from home and in London which gives me plenty of time for pet care throughout the week. I have a large high fenced garden and live in a 5 bed bungalow allowing plenty of space for pets to run around freely in a safe environment both indoors and outdoors. I have a ring doorbell and CCTV surrounding the property also to insure your pet’s safety. Updates are given regularly via message and photos to give you peace of mind. When house sitting I will keep the property clean and tidy and insure that I leave it to the best standard possible. Any instructions given will be noted and followed.

About: Neil and I are passionate animal lovers offering a calm, loving environment for dog boarding. We cared for our Beagle for 12 wonderful years before she sadly passed away due to illness, which gave me valuable experience with dog care, routines, and companionship. We’ve also looked after family dogs including Cockapoos and Labradors, and regularly care for our neighbours’ cats and dogs while they are away on holiday. Since we’re not quite ready for another dog of our own yet, Rover feels like the perfect way to continue sharing our home and care with dogs. I work from home full-time, and Neil predominantly works from home as well, so there will almost always be one or both of us at home with any boarded dogs throughout their stay. We have a large living area with patio doors leading to a secure, fenced grass garden that dogs can enjoy all year round. Because we work from home, we’re able to give dogs plenty of attention, companionship, and regular toilet breaks throughout the day. We can also take dogs out for walks during breaks, lunch, and in the evenings, so it’s very normal for dogs staying with us to enjoy up to three walks a day depending on their needs and routine. We’re also happy to adapt to older dogs or those who prefer a slower pace and quieter routine. Neil and I provide a safe, calm, and loving home environment where dogs are treated like part of the family. As one or both of us work from home most days, dogs are rarely left alone and receive plenty of attention, regular walks, playtime, and care throughout their stay. We have a secure fenced grass garden and always follow each owner’s routines and preferences carefully, including feeding, walks, medication, and any special requirements. We’re also happy to provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind while owners are away.
“Max came home happy and content,Marta was great looking after him kept us updated with pictures and messages reassuring us he was settled. Will definitely call on her again to look after max in the future.”

My goal is simple: for you to come home to a happy, healthy pet who barely noticed you were gone. Let’s set up a meet & greet so your pet can get to know me and you can feel confident they’ll be cared for like family! 🐶🐱💛 As a full-time flight attendant, my schedule can be flexible and often includes stretches of time off between trips. During those days at home, I love dedicating my time to pet care. It’s the perfect way to unwind and reconnect. I’m fully present when I’m with the pets I care for—whether it’s feeding, playtime, or just keeping them company. Animals have always been a part of my life, so fitting them into my routine feels natural and fulfilling. Whether I’m caring for pets in my own home or in a pet owner’s home, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment. I follow each pet’s routine closely—feeding schedules, litter box or potty breaks, medication if needed, and of course, plenty of playtime and affection. In the owner’s home, I make sure to respect their space and keep things clean and tidy, just as they left it. I treat every pet as if they were my own and make sure they feel comfortable, secure, and cared for while you’re away.
“Melanie was great. She sent pictures of our dog on regular intervals of his walks and him sitting very obediently with the toys. He was a happy dog when we was back home. We would definitely be sending Ovi again.”

“Sarah was absolutely brilliant with Donnie. She graciously accommodated our last minute booking. Thank you for being patient with her and for the lovely pics and updates. Donnie had a fun day out.”

About: I have had dogs and loved them since a child, I started dog sitting for family and friends 25 years ago, I have dealt with puppies, seniors, medication and weak bladders I love all dogs and currently have a 10 month old lab cross. I have trained mine from puppies and have a good rapport with them. I currently work 100% from home so will be available all day to look after your pet. I have the flexibility to be able to take my dog out everyday. I will be at home most evening so your dog will not be left unattended, for more than 2 hours if at all I have a spacious home, with a large enough garden for them to play in. There is plenty of room for a crate should your dog need this. I do have cats, but they are upstairs and the dog will not interact if they are not used to cats. I have a 10 month old female lab/spaniel cross to keep them company- she loves all dogs and has no problem with sharing her space- though she might invade their personal space. However she does understand that when a dog is in their crate that’s their space and will not enter. She is not spayed yet so currently couldn’t accept male unneutered dogs. In addition to the protection you get from Rover I am fully insured in the very unlikely event of any issues

“I can only reaffirm the previous review I wrote for Jamie: brilliant comms, accommodating and punctual... Rex has loved his walks, comes home well exercised and clearly enjoys his time out with Jamie. We'll definitely book again.”

“Jack is very accommodating and cared well for my large dog. He kept me informed along the way and was very attentive to my pets needs. He treated my dog with care and kindness. Jack has looked after my dog a few times and will continue to do so. I greatly appreciate the help! Thank you Jack!”

“Inga was absolutely amazing with our chowski Kyro, we were a little worried as he can be difficult to walk and pulls a bit on lead, Inga is a natural with big dogs and made us feel fully comfortable to leave him in her safe hands and provided us updates on each walk. Kyro absolutely loved his walks with Inga and would always return settled and happy! Thank you Inga, will definitely be using you again in future 😊”
About: I always look after my sisters cat when her and her fiancé go away. I also have cat sat for other family members when needed but never been paid for it. I have looked after friends dogs and taken them for walks when they have been unable too. I work full time and study. But I have flexibility to move things and also am trying to prioritise my fitness in terms of getting out more. My cat has a cat flap which we can lock if needed. She has got loads of scratch posts to use. I always lock my sisters cat in at night as he gets into fights and can be loud outside as per her instruction and switch up his food as he gets fussy quickly.

About: I have loved dogs my whole life. My family got our dog when I was only 3 years old. So, my whole life I cared for him, trained him, walked him and loved him. He was a small dog, but I also have experience walking bigger dogs as I’d help my friends walk their dogs occasionally. However I only take dogs below the knee and under 25Kg. I have experience with senior dogs and puppies, big dogs and small dogs. I can follow any guidance or rules you give me. I always send lots of pictures and can give updates during their stay with me. I am home all day and have lots of free time so I can give your dog my full attention and care. There are lots of parks in my area that I would love to take them to. I live with my parents and older sister who love dogs just as much as me and can help with caring for them when they are home. If you choose to book with me I can promise that your dog will be safe, cared for, and loved. I am a university student, back home for the summer, so I have plenty of time on my hands and looking to earn some extra money. The front door stays closed and there would be no way for a dog to escape or be in any danger. I live with my parents and older sister who would happily help in taking care of pets.
About: Hi! My names is Ella and I am an 18 year old Year 13 sixth form student. I’m a reliable and confident dog lover with hands-on experience caring for a wide range of breeds and temperaments. I have a 6-year-old Rottweiler at home, so I’m very comfortable handling large, strong dogs and understand the importance of consistent training, structure, and exercise. Daily walks and proper care are already part of my routine. I also help out with my step mum’s dog walking and boarding company in Hemel, where I’ve walked and cared for lots of different dogs. This has given me experience with various breeds, sizes, energy levels, and personalities — from excitable puppies to calmer older dogs. I’m confident reading dog behaviour and making sure every walk is safe and enjoyable. I can drive, which means I’m flexible and reliable when it comes to getting to different locations. Your dog’s safety, happiness, and routine are my top priorities, and I’ll treat them as if they were my own. I am currently unemployed, but a full time student, so I am available on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and all day throughout the weekend where I am happy to walk or dog sit for your pet. I always respect the owner’s home and follow any specific requests they have. I stick closely to feeding schedules and daily routines to keep everything consistent. My priority is making sure the pet feels comfortable, secure, and well cared for in their own environment while their owner is away.

About: I’ve had a wide variety of experience with different pets from a very young age. I have owned and taken care of reptiles, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, dogs, cats etc. In the past few years I have become more relied on to dog sit, walk and do check ins for family and friends but have recently expanded out to dog walking and sitting for a owner local to my area each week. I currently have 3 dogs of my own. A jack russel, Chihuahua and a Labrador. My labrador is only 1 so the past year has been very focused on trying to train her. Please note I do not house my pets in my own property, they live with my parents. I currently work full time as an estate agent, on a 2 week flip rotation. I have 1 in every 2 Tuesdays off in place of working shorter hours on a Saturday. Weekdays I work 9-6 Saturdays I work 9-4:30. I can be flexible with pet sits around this☺️ I care for other people’s dogs in their homes fairly frequently. I have done many short stay sits and also longer ones as up to 14 days. I have always been able to accommodate whatever you and your pet needs from me while they’re in my care.
“I would like to thank Agnieszka and her lovely family for taking so much care of Luna. Wow. We were a bit worried to leave her but Agnieszka made sure she meet all Lunas needs. She kept us updates on a daily basis and her lovely family and her treated Luna as their own. She had so much fun and so much human interaction that I think she had a better holiday than we did. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and 100% we would use Agnieszka services again and again. 5 stars its not enough, you guys deserve more . Thank you once again! 🙏🙏🙏🙏”
