I grew up in South Africa in a dog-loving household, caring for breeds ranging from Bulldogs and Jack Russells to Dachshunds. In my twenties, I began looking after my own pets, including our family Dachshund who lived to nearly 20 years old. Caring for her in her senior years gave me hands on experience with the patience, attention and sensitivity older dogs require, including adapting routines and monitoring health changes closely. In recent years, I have also become a cat owner, which has broadened my understanding of different pet personalities and care needs. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy caring for cats and have since become confident in providing calm, attentive care for them as well. What sets me apart is my combination of lifelong experience with dogs, practical senior pet care, and adaptability across both dogs and cats. I am especially comfortable with small breeds, understand the importance of routine and to take a gentle, attentive approach to ensure pets feel safe, relaxed and well cared for in my company.

I aim to keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible, as I know how important familiarity is for their wellbeing. I will follow your usual feeding, walking and sleeping schedules closely, along with any specific instructions around exercise or playtime. I’m reliable and communicative and I’m happy to provide regular updates, photos and messages so you can feel reassured while you’re away. I also try to be flexible where possible to accommodate your pet’s needs and your schedule.
