“Sherry did a wonderful job with her drop in visits for my two dogs. The dogs were well looked after, settled, and communication was great. It was such a relief knowing they were in good hands. Highly recommend.”

“Louise and her partner were absolutely brilliant! It was the first time I had ever left Rodney in hands of someone I never met before. He was super happy and excited to meet them and they reassured multiple times that he was ok, went to the toilet, fed him dinner & sent pictures of him out on a walk and in the garden so I was left at ease and able to enjoy my evening out for my partners birthday. Thank you both xx”

“Emma was a great sitter - she was very friendly, clearly loves dogs and was reliable so we didn’t have to worry whilst we were out! Would definitely recommend her and use her again!”
About: 🐾 About us: I grew up with 5 family dogs, and have been looking after dogs of different sizes for over 15 years now. This has helped develop a deep love and passion for looking after dogs. Over the past 5 years, I have helped friends and relatives by looking after their furry friends. Through this, I develop extensive experience caring for a variety of dog breeds. From daily walks and playtime, to feeding and administering medication, we ensure each pet feels loved, safe and happy in our home. 🐶 Our experience: My partner Jia, and myself are comfortable handling pets of different sizes and age, tailoring the care to their unique needs. Whether your pet loves long walks, cuddles or interactive play, they will be provided with the affection and attention they deserve. 📅 Availability in 2026: In 2026, both Jia and I have busy schedules, so our dog sitting availability is more limited. However, whenever we do have availability, we are always happy to help because we truly love spending time with dogs and caring for them whenever we can. 💛 Our goal: Our goal is to give you peace of mind while you're away, knowing your furry friend is in caring and capable hands. I have currently taken a career break and going back to studying, which means I have plenty of time to look after your pet. Jia works from home at least 3 days a week and we can coordinate to ensure your furry friend is never alone. In our home, we provide a safe, clean and pet friendly environment, free of hazards and tailored to your pet's needs. We ensure they have plenty of space to play, rest and feel at ease. We will supervise your pet closely to ensure they are safe and comfortable, providing lots of love and attention. We maintain a calm, structured environment to help your pet feel secure and stress-free. Building trust with both you and your pet is our priority, ensuring they feel happy and well-cared-for.
“Mel is our go-to person for drop-in visits for our kitty whenever we are out of town. She is reliable, friendly and well-organized, and we'd recommend her for your cat care needs.”

About: Hi! My name is Gabby and I’m a newly qualified vet living in Hatfield. I love all animals and I’m very experienced working with and caring for dogs and cats. I’ve grown up with dogs and I have a very active 2 year old Labrador at home who loves long walks and playing with his ball! I have variable availability during the week and weekends, although I may need to leave in the day for a couple of hours. I’m very happy to house sit for up to a week, and available for dog walking and doggy day care. I am very flexible for July and August and available for most weekdays and weekends with notice. I am able to dedicate the majority of the day to your pet and fit in to their needs. Having worked with dogs and cat for over 5 years, I have lots of experience with different temperaments of pets. I’m confident administering any medications that they may need and with give them however much exercise they require. I will try as best I can to make your pet comfortable in their own home and fit into their routine!

My approach emphasises creating healthy boundaries while ensuring plenty of fun and companionship. I deeply respect not only your space but also the unique personalities of dogs and cats, treating them with the kindness they deserve. As a true animal lover, I'm committed to ensuring that every pet feels safe, happy, and cherished in my care. Mon–Fri: 7–9am · 12–2pm · 5–8pm (walks & drop-ins) Weekends: Flexible daytimes + overnight house sitting Cats: AM/PM routine is ideal (feed, litter, meds, quiet company) Dogs: Solo walks matched to age/energy; enrichment on rainy days I keep my calendar up to date and respond promptly; all bookings include photo updates. How I care for pets (and your home) Your pet’s routine is my script. I follow your instructions exactly, feeding, meds, walk times, play, and quiet time, so cats and dogs feel safe and settled while you’re away. I’m gentle, tidy, and keep communication clear with notes and photo updates every visit. In your home (house sitting & drop-ins) Security first: I double-check doors, gates, windows and keep leads by the door. No visitors, no parties—ever. I respect your privacy and only use agreed areas. Calm, consistent routine: I match your pet’s normal schedule and preferred style (shy cats get quiet company; playful pets get enrichment). Hygiene: Fresh water every visit, bowls washed, surfaces wiped. Litter scooped/reset each visit; waste disposed of properly. Medication: Comfortable with oral/topical meds when clearly explained; I log each dose in your Rover thread. Home care: Lights/blinds as instructed, plants/bins/mail handled, everything left clean and secure. Dog walks (solo only) Lead policy: I use a secure harness/collar you provide and a fixed lead. No off-lead unless you’ve given written OK and the area is safe and enclosed. Safe routes: I avoid hazards, busy roads at rush times, and stressful dog clusters; I adjust for heat, cold, or rain and bring water on longer walks. Accountability: You’ll receive Rover Cards with timing, route, and a short summary. Cat care specifics Doors and windows stay closed; I check common hide spots so indoor cats don’t slip out. I refresh water, litter, and feeding stations, then match their vibe—quiet company, play, or brushing if allowed. Multi-cat homes are fed separately as needed. Emergencies & consent I keep your vet and emergency contact details on hand. If anything seems off, I contact you immediately, follow your instructions, and, if urgent, seek vet care while keeping you updated. Trust & communication I reply quickly, keep my calendar accurate, and send clear updates (photos + what we did). My goal is simple: a safe, calm environment where your pet’s day feels normal—and you feel fully informed.
About: I love all animals, but most of my experience is with cats. That being said, I’ve cared for many dogs in the past, as well as other small animals such as hamsters. I do my best to match the energy I get from the animals. If they are shy and quiet, I won’t push them to the point of discomfort. Equally if they are playful and cuddly, they will get as much cuddles and playtime as they need! I am currently on maternity leave with my 3 month old baby, and we go on walks multiple times a day, so would be great to take a pet with us! If not a walk, I have plenty of time each day to feed pets/provide company! My approach is to match the energy the pet gives me; I won’t push a pet out of their comfort zone, and will respect their wishes as much as possible.

“Tilly provided great care while looking after my cat for few days, as a last-minute request. This was my 1st time booking Tilly but felt at ease leaving my cat, Poupette, in her hands. Her background as a veterinary nurse was especially reassuring, as Poupette had recently experienced some health issues. I would highly recommend Tilly for any pet care needs and I'm already in the process of rebooking her services.”

“Jordan was so good with our girls. They had a great time with loads of walks and playtime which we really appreciated giving us peace of mind whilst away. Communication was excellent and we received multiple videos and photos throughout! Will definitely use your services again Jordan, thanks so much :)”

Sherry looked after my cat for a week while I was on holiday. Jessie is nearly 18 and has not been left for over 10 years so I was a bit anxious about leaving her. Sherry was so reassuring and I felt she could be trusted to take care of Jessie, I could tell she was an animal lover. I received daily updates which was lovely and eased my worry enabling me to enjoy my holiday. Jessie had a few accidents in the house but Sherry cleared up all the mess. She also gave an additional update at the end of the week and left a diagram of where Jessie had her accidents. I would not hesitate to use Sherry again and highly reccomend her.

Amanda did an amazing job of taking care of my 2 cats for a few days while I was on holiday. I had never used a pet sitting service before and reached out to her last minute and she was wonderful the whole way through. Quick to respond, extremely professional, friendly, and able to accommodate everything. She made it a really pleasurable experience. My cats were very well taken care of and happy when we returned and she did a great job of not only feeding them but giving them playtime. We will absolutely be booking with Amanda again! Was finally able to relax on my holiday!
Rebecca is an amazing dog sitter who is 100 percent reliable. My dogs immediately bonded to her and her family and were well look after and loved. I received plenty of updates and photos over the fortnight she had them. Rebecca is very reasonably priced, helpful and accommodating. We have several weekends and holidays booked in so it will be like their 2nd home. Rebecca also helped train my youngest dog which was really helpful. Highly recommend she knows her stuff.

We were delighted to find Lili. A wonderful person and perfect for our cats. Lili always stayed in touch and kept us updated after each visit. It was a relief to find somebody who was local, trustworthy and who would care for our cats and home, whilst we went on holiday.

It's always difficult when moving house to a new area to find from scratch responsible and caring dog sitters! I'm glad Pui Ki was available and responded - her and her husband as a team have been absolutely perfect - arriving consistently, and engaging thoroughly with my 3 year old German shepherd to provide stimulation for an hour in the morning and again in the evening while I've been away. They have definitely eased my worry and helped me enjoy my trip knowing that they would give Nova the best time. Would definitely recommend and rebook if and when needed!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
