“Kiera is really nice and reliable. I booked her for a week when I was away and she did a great job. She came and checked Bella every day to make sure he was ok and gave him some company. She sent me a video which was nice to see. I will definitely book her again when I'll be away next time”
“Philippa was really lovely with our 2 cats. We booked for an hour each day as one of them is a kitten who needed extra fuss and attention, and our usual person could cover one of the feeding sessions needed each day. I was a little nervous as hadn’t used anything like this before, but I definitely will do so again. Philippa left a lovely summary of each visit and I looked forward to the update photos, which were great. I’d definitely recommend Philippa”

“Selda visited once a day to feed my one-year-old cat, Mabel, while I was away over Christmas, and I couldn’t have felt more at ease. From our first meeting when I handed over the house key, I was completely confident that Mabel was in safe and caring hands. While I was away, Selda sent regular photos and videos, and it was lovely to see how relaxed and happy Mabel was in her company. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Selda and will definitely be using her again. Thank you 🤗”

“I have used Sheena a few times now for drop in visits. She is excellent with my high energetic Labrador and has stayed far longer than 30 minutes on a few occasions. Very trustworthy and leaves detailed reports. Thank you.”

“Emily is a really lovely young lady with a calm manner. She came to meet Otis with a few bags of treats and won him (and us!) over immediately! She is very quick to respond to requests on Rover and was always on time and prepared to take care of Otis. We felt very comfortable and at ease leaving Otis is Emily’s care.”

“5 stars is not enough! First time using a cat sitter so was really nervous, Jo is amazing and made me feel very comfortable, I will never go to anyone else and will recommend her to all my cat friends! If you’re wondering who to use, Jo is your girl! x”

“I cannot recommend Joao and his lovely partner Lara enough!!! I was so at ease on my holiday, they were so easy to communicate with and figured everything out themselves. They knew exactly how to take care of Moussey - I’ve returned home to a happy little baby who I know is missing them a lot! Hands down the best cat sitting I’ve experienced and will recommend to everyone I know! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟”

“April was very professional and friendly. She came to feed our 2 cats while on holiday. Nothing was too much trouble and found her to be very trustworthy I wouldn’t hesitate to book her services again Thanks for everything April Elaine xx”

About: As a dog owner myself, I completely understand how stressful it can be to book a holiday or spend time away from home while worrying about who will care for your furry family member. I will provide your pet with all the love and care they would receive at home so you can relax knowing they are in safe hands. I have been looking after friends’ dogs and pets for many years while they are away on weekends or longer holidays abroad. It is something I have always found incredibly rewarding and fulfilling, which is why I decided to make it part of my career. This year, I completed a Dog First Aid course at Capel Manor College. I grew up with dogs, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. Safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow routines closely, keep owners updated, and make sure every pet settles in quickly so they feel secure and relaxed. I treat every animal as if they were my own and genuinely love having them around Our home is perfectly set up for pet care, with a large private garden, plenty of nearby parks and green spaces, and a peaceful indoor environment for naps and downtime. You tell me your pet’s routine, and I’ll stick to it while keeping you updated throughout their stay. I also offer daycare services with plenty of walks and enrichment, which can be ideal if you’re working, planning a day out, or simply want your dog to have some company and stimulation during the day. We have an 8-year-old crossbreed dog who loves having furry friends around. We also have a dwarf rabbit who lives in a separate room and free-roams around unless we have guests. The room remains closed when we have visiting pets, ensuring everyone stays safe and comfortable. We regularly enjoy walks in beautiful local areas such as Whitewebbs Park and Forty Hall, as well as exploring other nearby parks and green spaces. If your dog is nervous around other dogs, that’s absolutely fine. I have the space to keep pets separate when needed and always give them the patience and reassurance they need to feel comfortable in their new surroundings. While you’re away, I’ll keep you updated with regular messages and photos, so you never have to worry about how your pet is settling in, whether they’re eating well, or if they’re missing you. My aim is to give you complete peace of mind while making sure your pet feels happy, loved, and cared for every step of the way. My pet sitting schedule is designed to keep dogs comfortable, happy, and settled in their usual routine. As I work from home, dogs are rarely left alone and have plenty of companionship, supervision, and reassurance throughout the day. The day typically starts with a trip into the garden for a quick toilet break as soon as they wake up, followed by breakfast and some relaxed morning time. Dogs are welcome to join me on my daughter’s school run if suitable for them, giving them some gentle stimulation and company. Throughout the day, there is plenty of time for resting, relaxing, and naps to ensure they feel calm and at home. Around midday, I usually take dogs for a walk with time for play, ball catching, and exercise depending on their energy levels and preferences. Later in the afternoon, we head out again for the school pick-up walk. On weekends, we love exploring different parks, walking routes, and new areas, giving dogs plenty of opportunities for enrichment, sniffing, and adventure if they enjoy being active and outdoors. I always aim to stick closely to each dog’s normal routine and will happily adapt to their individual needs. If a dog prefers a quieter, less active day, I will absolutely accommodate their pace and preferences to make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for. Safety, trust, and creating a calm home environment are extremely important to me when caring for dogs. I have a secure fenced garden for safe outdoor time and always make sure doors are kept locked and windows are not left open to prevent any chance of escape. My home and garden are pet-friendly, and I do not keep any poisonous plants accessible to dogs. Dogs are treated as part of the family while staying with us and are free to relax comfortably around the home. I do not use kennels or cages unless this is specifically requested by the owner and is part of the dog’s normal routine. I work from home, so dogs receive plenty of supervision, attention, and companionship throughout the day. My daughter is a teenager who absolutely loves animals and has grown up surrounded by pets, so she is very calm, gentle, and confident around dogs. My husband is also a huge dog lover, as is our son, who is currently at university but comes home frequently and has also grown up with pets all his life. I know how important peace of mind is when leaving your pet with someone else, so I provide daily updates along with photos and videos so owners can see their dog happy, settled, and enjoying their stay. VACCINATIONS: I want to make sure that doggies in my care remain healthy. I cannot look after guests that are not up-to-date with their vaccinations. On arrival I will require evidence that your furry familly member has been vaccinated for the following: • Distemper • Hepatitis • Leptospirosis • Canine Parvovirus • Bordetella (kennel cough) No pet will be admitted without proof of up-to-date vaccinations.

Siobhan did a great job whilst I was away for 3 weeks. She gave Honey, my cat, a lot of cuddles and really went the extra mile to make her feel cared for. I was really pleased to receive regular updates and videos/ photos of Honey. Siobhan also watered my plants - inside and outside which was a great help.

Philip was absolutely amazing, and I can't recommend him highly enough! From the moment we went away, he kept us updated with photos and videos, which gave us complete peace of mind knowing our cats were happy and well cared for. All of our cats absolutely adore him and are so comfortable around him. What really impressed us was that he even managed to win over our semi-feral two-year-old cat, who normally runs away and hides from everyone. Seeing him earn her trust so quickly was incredible. Philip is kind, reliable, and clearly has a real love and understanding of cats. We were so impressed that we've already booked him again for our next trip in August. Thank you so much, Philip—we wouldn't trust anyone else with our cats! 😺😺😺😺

Selda visited once a day to feed my one-year-old cat, Mabel, while I was away over Christmas, and I couldn’t have felt more at ease. Thank you 🤗
I booked Ash to look after my little girl, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Ash is incredibly warm, caring, and truly loves dogs. She treated my girl as if she were her own, and my dog bonded with her instantly. You can genuinely feel how patient, gentle, and trustworthy she is. Ash went above and beyond every single time — she was helpful, communicative, and always made sure my girl was happy, safe, and comfortable. They truly became like best friends. I’m so grateful to have found her. I highly, highly recommend Ash to anyone looking for someone loving, responsible, and amazing with dogs. She’s truly a gem.♥️♥️♥️

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
