About: My husband and I have always been fond of any animals really, and we are also full time parents of a young Dalmatian, Cooper. We have both gone through rigorous pet training classes in order to learn how to raise our dog as a happy, well behaved, social dog. We go through various training sessions everyday, and live right next to Verulamium Park, which Cooper would be more than happy to play with a friend in. We can also accommodate any requirements you nay have, regarding food, sleeping arrangements etc. Finally, we have two cats who are more than used to dogs and can also help socialising a young dog. We will both take care of the dogs, my husband Nicolas and I to ensure everything goes smoothly and your dog had a great time with us. We currently organise ourselves so that someone is always at home. Our day is fixed around our own dog who gets two long walks a day, one first thing in the morning and one in the afternoon/evening, and plenty of attention in between. We have a fenced garden and Cooper is a very social, happy dog who will be more than happy to have a friend with him. We can also easily crate your dog if needed and can accommodate for different sleeping arrangements.

About: Hi! I’ve grown up with dogs all my life. I have had dogs of all sizes from large labradors to tiny Pomeranians. I have a dog of my own named Winston who is sweet, cuddly and fully trained. He is a little shy but once he gets to know your dog, they will be best friends 😊 I am fully available to give all my attention to your lovely dog. I am an early bird too so I can walk your dog before, during or after work 😄 I live in a 2 story house which gives dogs a lot of space to move around. We have a closed fence in our backyard with artificial grass but as a preference, I like to take dogs outside for a walk or to our front yard where there is real grass. Amanda takes care checking the temperature on hot days and touching the pavement to see if its too hot for paws etc. My dog is overweight so she tempts him with his toys and balls to make sure he gets a bit of movement in on visits. I like the detail Amanda gives when they go out on a longer walk, you can see how long exactly and where around the neighbourhood. About: I live in Marshalswick, St Albans with my two sons aged 17 and 13. I have been a 'borrower' on Borrow My Doggy since 2023 and looked after a big rescue dog and a pair of Maltipoos on a regular basis whilst their owners are away. I've also looked after dogs for friends. We treat the dogs who come to stay with us as part of our family and ensure they have a 'home from home' experience whereby we provide them with the same routines and care their owners give them. Belly rubs, biscuits and snuggles in blankets are always on offer in our house. Currently I am at home most of the week. I only work out of the house on two half days so doggies staying with us are left for a maximum of four hours on two separate days. However, one of my sons is also at home a lot so he looks after dog visitors when I am at work. Dog visitors are provided with their normal routine as much as possible. Mealtimes, walks and bedtimes are consistent and regular. I have a fenced garden and dogs in my care are given regular opportunities to use it. Any dogs staying with us are given a walk twice a day and we have lots of woods and green areas near us to enjoy. Dog guests are always walked on leads. However, over time when I have got to know dogs and recall trust is built, with permission of the owners, I have been able to walk a couple off their leads. I only have one dog at a time or two dogs if from the same home.

She was very responsive, responsible, and clearly knows how to look after dogs properly. “Many thanks to Amanda for looking after Teddy so well - dog boarding for 4 nights. He was welcomed into her home and treated as if he was her own - Amanda’s own two lovely dogs were also very welcoming to Teddy. It seemed as if he had been on his own little holiday with lovely walks across the fields and lots of attention. I picked him up tired but clearly very content. Amanda kept me updated throughout with updates and photos and was quick to respond to my messages on dates.
