About: I live in Marshalswick, St Albans with my two sons aged 17 and 13. I have been a 'borrower' on Borrow My Doggy since 2023 and looked after a big rescue dog and a pair of Maltipoos on a regular basis whilst their owners are away. I've also looked after dogs for friends. We treat the dogs who come to stay with us as part of our family and ensure they have a 'home from home' experience whereby we provide them with the same routines and care their owners give them. Belly rubs, biscuits and snuggles in blankets are always on offer in our house. Currently I am at home most of the week. I only work out of the house on two half days so doggies staying with us are left for a maximum of four hours on two separate days. However, one of my sons is also at home a lot so he looks after dog visitors when I am at work. Dog visitors are provided with their normal routine as much as possible. Mealtimes, walks and bedtimes are consistent and regular. I have a fenced garden and dogs in my care are given regular opportunities to use it. Any dogs staying with us are given a walk twice a day and we have lots of woods and green areas near us to enjoy. Dog guests are always walked on leads. However, over time when I have got to know dogs and recall trust is built, with permission of the owners, I have been able to walk a couple off their leads. I only have one dog at a time or two dogs if from the same home.
“Excellent carers. Hudson settled straight away and was thoroughly looked after as seen in the videos sent each day. Will use again and recommend to others. Thank you Abi and Declan 🐶 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

About: I’ve been passionate about dogs for many years and currently own a friendly German Spitz called Frankie, who is a much-loved member of our family. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. I’m currently working towards my iPET qualification in canine care to further develop my knowledge of dog welfare, behaviour and safe handling. I provide a calm, loving home environment with plenty of attention, play, enrichment and walks tailored to each dog’s needs. I particularly enjoy caring for small and medium-sized dogs and believe every dog deserves patience, kindness and lots of cuddles. I’ll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your dog is happy and well cared for. I’m available evenings and weekends, with flexible availability to suit your needs. I’ll always make sure your pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, enrichment and affection while they’re in my care, so they feel safe, happy and relaxed. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are my priority. I provide a calm, loving home environment with a secure garden for supervised play and exercise. I follow your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible and will keep you updated with regular photos and messages for complete peace of mind.
“Thank you so much to Elizabeth! Dax was clearly very happy during his stay. She took him out early and kept him cool in the hot weather. She also made sure to play with him and give him cuddles. Couldn't have asked for more”

“Megan was absolutely amazing with our little lad, Winston! Kept up to date with pictures and her communication was on point! We had a last minute booking as we had a wedding to go to and she was more than happy to accommodate. He was absolutely spoilt rotten with his walks and cuddles and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Megan, her partner and family (special mention to them) were treating him as if he were their own, so much so I think Winston would’ve been happy to stay longer! We would be happy to have them look after him again 😊 thank you so much from us and Winston 🐶”

“Amy and her family took amazing care of our little Yorkie Baxter. It was the first time we had left him with anyone apart from family so we were a bit nervous about leaving him but we were quickly reassured by Amy’s regular updates and pictures. Baxter had a great time and I would highly recommend Amy to anyone. Thanks so much 💕”

“My furr Babies stayed for the first time and I've just picked them up and got them home and they're as happy as they always are. Chloe kept me posted with photos of walks and cuddles. Very happy with her care!!”

“Finn loved staying at Eleanor’s! He came back very calm and was tired from all their fun adventures in the park. It’s so reassuring to know that Finn is in such good hands when we had to go away suddenly”

“Jessica was absolutely lovely with Neo! She was so sweet and caring, kept me updated throughout the day, and sent me lovely photos of him. She was also super friendly and easy to communicate with. I felt really comfortable knowing Neo was in such good hands. I would definitely recommend Jessica and would happily have her look after Neo again! ❤️”

“Chris and his family were great! They were very patient in terms of helping me with my booking and waiting on me for a final confirmation. Our dog, Brady, settled in well and we received regular photos and updates. I was reassured and able to go away feeling like I didn’t need to stress about our beloved pet.”
“Leanne looked after Bruce, my large mixed bull breed, for 5 nights. From making the enquiry, she was really responsive and we agreed an initial meet, so her and her family could meet Bruce, this went well so we agreed the dates. I dropped Bruce off, and Leann already had experience with large breeds and e collar training. This really put me at ease when I left! She sent .e regulat daily updates and photos sp I could see how settled bruce was with them. Wheb i arrived to collect him, he was playing with Leannes son in the garden, really happy. I would not hesitate to recommend Leanne, she gave Bruce love and time and that made him a happy boy! I would also use Leanne in the future. Thank you so much for looking after my 50kg baby!”

“Robin is brilliant! Much better than kennels. It's obvious that he loves dogs and they love him back. He shared videos of our puppy-dogs on various walks, which was way beyond what we expected. If there were 7 stars, he'd score 7.”

“Donna provided Poppy with excellent care. Poppy always enjoys her stays with Donna. Donna is a thoughtful and kind sitter and she is always our first choice when we need a sitter for Poppy. Thanks, Donna!”

“Melinda looked after my dog Lola whilst we were on holiday for 8 days. She sent regular updates and photos to me which was great. I’d thoroughly recommend Melinda to look after your pet. Lola was happy and contented when she was collected. I definitely will ask Melinda to look after Lola when we next go on holiday. Thanks Melinda”

About: I've cared for dogs since I was a child with the family dog. I've had experience caring for guide dog puppies, so I'm well prepared for any puppy antics. I'm currently searching for work so my schedule may change, but I will update my profile and availability if it changes. Otherwise, I am available all day everyday except Friday mornings. I live with one friendly cat who will most likely keep to herself. I have a green garden with a fence and I live close to many parks perfect for dog walks.

About: Hi, we’re Chris (30) and Renay (29), and both love the company of dogs. Having grown up around dogs we both understand how important it is to find the right person to look after them. Last year my family got a Rottweiler puppy and so I have very recent experience helping to look after him, but we are equally comfortable with older dogs. We live in a house with fenced garden and have plenty of green space within a relatively short walking distance. I currently work from home 2/3 days a week and will be easily able to meet their needs during this time including walks and playing. On weekends we will typically both be around to look after your dog and will thoroughly enjoy long walks with them. We will provide attentive, hands on care for your dog and respond individually to their needs. We have a fenced back garden and no other pets in the house with plenty of green space easily accessible.

Natasha recently looked after Charlie for the 2nd time, this time for 15 nights. The whole experience was great for both me and Charlie. Natasha was able to put my mind at ease quickly at drop off and she reassured me throughout the stay by sending lots of photos and videos of Charlie having fun. Charlie loved spending the time with Natasha’s cockatoo Max. He came home happy and clean having had a bath that morning. I would highly recommend Natasha’s services.

This was our first time using the Rover App and we feel so lucky to have found Amanda. She boarded our Ragdoll kitten Harvey (6 months old) for 6 days. We were very anxious about leaving Harvey as this was the first time leaving him but from the moment we dropped him off we knew he was in the best hands. Amanda sent us photos, videos and updates regularly whilst we were away and Harvey clearly settled in seamlessly. I was worried he wouldn’t want to come home! A massive thank you to Amanda for taking such great care of Harvey - we will definitely be back and we highly recommend Amanda.
I honestly couldn’t recommend Karen highly enough. She looked after Beau while we were away on holiday and was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. We were looking for somewhere that felt genuinely homely and family-orientated, rather than a typical boarding environment, and Karen provided exactly that. It was clear Beau was being welcomed into the family and cared for as if he were one of their own, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Karen kept us updated throughout with messages, photos and videos, so we could see how happy and settled Beau was. It was lovely being able to enjoy our holiday knowing he was safe, comfortable and having a great time himself. We came home to a very happy Beau! We wouldn’t hesitate to leave him with Karen again and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a warm, caring and trustworthy home-from-home for their dog 🐾

Amy was great. This was Mylo’s 1st time away from us any he was very happy and well cared for. Amy could not have been more personable and helpful, I asked to leave Mylo earlier at the last minute and she managed to accommodate this. Amy kept us updated with photos of our happy pup throughout the evening. I couldn’t be more satisfied 😀

Dominique came to the rescue when Falcor needed a place to stay at short notice, it was his first time away from us and meeting new dogs without us there, we worried at first but there certainly was no need to! Dominique and Falcor bonded quickly, with her attention to detail even in the heat wave saw Falcor having the best time ever! Frequent update messages and photos really helped. Dominique thank you, cannot wait to use again!

Natália is a fantastic sitter! Knowledgeable about dogs, she cared excellently for Goose through the heatwave and even graciously extended his stay when our flight back home was cancelled. We know he was in the best hands possible all week and would highly recommend!! Thanks so much 🤗

Jessica was absolutely lovely with Neo! She was so sweet and caring, kept me updated throughout the day, and sent me lovely photos of him. She was also super friendly and easy to communicate with. I felt really comfortable knowing Neo was in such good hands. I would definitely recommend Jessica and would happily have her look after Neo again! ❤️

Lionel had a lovely time, with walks and socialising with other dogs. Declan and Abigail were in regular contact with videos and pictures, and helpful in terms of dropping off and picking up (including coming around to drop off Lionel's bed which I forgot to take back with me!) Would happily send Lionel for another stay.

We left our 10 month old Cocker Spaniel puppy Dolly with Michele for 9 days . We received daily pup updates and photos from Michele which were so reassuring as it was our first time leaving her to go on holiday . Dolly had a wonderful stay and was totally spoilt rotten ❤️ The one to one care Michele gave was fantastic , and she treated Dolly like her own pet which was so lovely to see. Dolly has returned home and very happy puppy .Thank you so much Michele, we shall see you again soon xx
Darcy's first stay with Ann and her family was a great success. She was very comfortable in their house and ate all her meals and slept well. Ann was very caring and diligent and kept us updated on how Darcy was settling in, also sending us photos of her in the garden looking happy and content, which was reassuring. We would not hesitate to use Ann again.
