Dog lover and dachshund owner!
I have been dog sitting since 2013 and own a lovely 9 year old mini sausage dog called Douglas. I have experience with puppies and large breed dogs- I am happy to assist with basic training of puppies, and have experience taking care of senior dogs. I also have a Canine First Aid Level 2 qualification. I can only accept very calm large breed dogs as Douglas has had a history of back and neck injuries and I cannot risk him getting hurt in play.

Dominique came to the rescue when Falcor needed a place to stay at short notice, it was his first time away from us and meeting new dogs without us there, we worried at first but there certainly was no need to! Dominique and Falcor bonded quickly, with her attention to detail even in the heat wave saw Falcor having the best time ever! Frequent update messages and photos really helped. Dominique thank you, cannot wait to use again!
Dominique was amazing looking after my cavapoo pup, Whisky. Very helpful & sent photos with updates. I booked 2 non-consecutive daycare stays a week apart & I could tell the second stay he was very fond of Dominique, which was a relief as this was his first experience of daycare. Overall highly recommend & will likely book again in the future!
Dominique was such a great sitter for Frankie. He can be a nervous boy but she put us at ease and was really sweet and understanding. Her dog Doug is an absolute gent and really took in Frankie under his wing. Will definitely book again.
Dominique was kind enough to help us out with looking after Kiko for 10 days while we were away and I have nothing but gratitude towards her for the care and attention she put into looking after my puppy, as well as keeping me updated and reassured the whole time. From very fast replies, to taking Kiko on enriching walks and sending me lots of pictures throughout the day, Dominique was an amazing support and I would definitely recommend! Doug was also just as lovely with Kiko despite him being a very energetic puppy and I am so glad I had Dominique to look after Kiko as if he were her own dog in such a loving and safe environment. Dominique, thank you so so much for everything, Kiko misses you and Doug already and he can’t wait to see you again!! :)
Pep had a brilliant time with Dominique and Doug. Dominique was great at keeping us updated on his activities and sent lots of lovely photos. We knew he was in very safe hands. We’d highly recommend!

Schedule
I work from home permanently, and I can take dogs for walks before work, in my lunch break and after work. I live very close to excellent walks through woods, fields and countryside. Please see my diary for availability.

I have a large enclosed garden and live in a bungalow. I am more than happy to assist with puppies- my dog Douglas is very good and gentle with them, and I have hard wood flooring throughout my house so don't mind an accident! I love all dogs- other sausage dogs are particularly encouraged!

A typical day
I have plenty of toys here for your dog to play with, and a big secure garden for them to run around in. Dogs will not go into the garden unsupervised. Your furry friend will have the opportunity to go on a variety of walks in woods/ countryside (walk length can be tailored to your dog's need) and I will need your consent to allow them off the lead.
