Wolfie's dog boarding retreat
I am fully licensed by St Albans City Council - LN/202500821 I offer dog home boarding from my home in a loving family environment. I provide a “home from home” atmosphere for your dog, with constant company and attention to suit your dog’s individual needs. This is a relaxed, happy and friendly environment within our own home (NO kennels!) We take a limited number of dog(s) enabling us to concentrate on their care and happiness. I have a spacious three-bedroom house in central St Albans with a huge garden that is safe and secure. I always have loved animals from an early age; I take the role of pet ownership very seriously and ensure all dogs receive highest level of care possible. I make sure the dietary requirements are catered for and are exercised regularly. The most important thing for me is make sure my pets are loved and cared for in a family environment with lots of cuddles and kisses. I have a 100ft secure garden iI live 8 minutes walk from St Albans Verulam lakes and 3 minutes from a beautiful, wooded area. I have the freedom and flexibility to be able to care for dogs from home. I am available 7 days a week. We have lovely areas to walk. Dogs deserve holidays too and their experiences of leaving their own family and home should be a happy and fulfilled one! I have an up-to-date canine first aid and CPR and all the relevant qualifications to care for the animals in my care. I am confident in administering medication. I have a lot of experience of different dog breeds - from puppies to the older dog. I have full public liability insurance and policies and procedures are in place. I maintain high standards of good practice.

I honestly couldn’t recommend Karen highly enough. She looked after Beau while we were away on holiday and was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. We were looking for somewhere that felt genuinely homely and family-orientated, rather than a typical boarding environment, and Karen provided exactly that. It was clear Beau was being welcomed into the family and cared for as if he were one of their own, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Karen kept us updated throughout with messages, photos and videos, so we could see how happy and settled Beau was. It was lovely being able to enjoy our holiday knowing he was safe, comfortable and having a great time himself. We came home to a very happy Beau! We wouldn’t hesitate to leave him with Karen again and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a warm, caring and trustworthy home-from-home for their dog 🐾
We had never left our dog Danny with anyone before but were reassured as soon as we visited Wolfie’s both by the facilities and Karen’s approach. This confidence was not misplaced during Danny’s stay with her. We got an update every day, along with a photo or a video. Danny had great walks and was wonderfully cared for despite the very hot weather. He was in great shape when we picked him up. Very happy.
Karen is an amazing carer for our pup. She sends daily notes and photos sharing the adventures Oscar is enjoying with his holiday family. It was his birthday when we were away and we received a lovely video which made it seem special despite our absence. No hesitation to recommend.
I feel so relaxed whenever I drop my dogs, Pearl and Ruby, off at Wolfie’s Residence. They are always so confident, happy and clearly very well looked after. 🐾❤️ I feel truly blessed to have found Karen. She is such a lovely, caring and welcoming person, and I always feel comfortable leaving my girls in her care. She even welcomes me with a lovely hug! 🤗 I highly recommend Karen and Wolfie’s Residence to anyone looking for a loving, safe and caring home away from home for their dogs. Pearl and Ruby absolutely love it! 🐶🐶💕
Karen was very professional and reassuring from the first messages. Dexter stayed at her place which is lovely, clean, safe and had a very nice garden. We felt Dexter was in great hands and are grateful she looked after him so well.

I have a fully enclosed garden with CTV. They have constant access to the garden with fresh water. The house is spacious and comfortable I take looking after your pets very seriously.
A typical day
I love taking them to lakes and to the local parks. I give them lots of love and cuddles. Ball games and hiding treats to keep them stimulated.
