About: "Hey there! 🐾 I'm a true animal lover with a heart that's always had a soft spot for our furry friends. My journey started with my adorable Maremma shepherd, whom I cherished from his puppy days. We splashed in rivers, took long walks, and created memories that'll forever make me smile. My experience extends beyond my own pup – I've worn the hat of a dog sitter for a lively German Shepherd, a playful Golden Retriever, and an energetic Vizsla puppy. From walks to playtime, I've been the go-to for their daily dose of fun and care. Now, I'm here to shower your pet with the same love and joy. From cuddles to play sessions, your furry companion and I are bound to have a blast. 🐶❤️🐾" I'm working from home Mon-Thur, finishing at 5 pm. During the day I can play, stay with your dog and walk it as needed, as my schedule is pretty flexible. Free the whole weekend (Friday included). I'm outdoorsy and usually spend my weekends in parks/forests or hiking. I'm also an equestrian, so if your pets enjoy it, I can bring them along with me so that they can socialise with other animals! :) - Communicate with the owner about routine, diet, and special instructions. - Follow feeding schedule and portion sizes. - Engage in regular exercise and playtime. - Provide bathroom breaks and clean up promptly. - Administer medications as directed. - Groom as needed (brushing, bathing, nails). - Create a comfortable and safe environment. - Be cautious with doors and hazardous items. - Monitor health and behavior; update the owner. - Know emergency contacts and plans. - Respect the home; clean up and follow rules.
“Marco has been looking after our cat a couple of times now - he is a trusted person, punctual and reliable, who took great care of our cat, never failing to keep us posted every time he came home. I recommend him!”

“Yasmin looked after my three-legged cat Skippy. She was so great in how she put Skippy at ease and played with her and took her outside for supervised garden time! She bought Skippy her favourite treats which was so lovely and thoughtful. I got updates and photos for each visit and everything looked more tidy than when I left! I’ll definitely be using her again!”

“So pleased to have such a lovely and thoughtful sitter for minnow. We had detailed daily messages and pictures and Atena obviously really loves cats. Will definitely book again. I felt very confident leaving her in charge!”

“Bilqis was great with our little cat, who's quite nervous. She put so much time and effort into getting friendly with her. We were very grateful for her updates whilst away too as it's the longest we've left her. I'd book Bilqis again without question, she made us feel very comfortable and we came back to a very happy cat. Thank you! ”
“It was our first experience with Rover and we were so happy with Erica and Louie. Guys were very nice and friendly, they were sharing lots of pictures and videos when visiting Tini so we were absolutely sure our cat is doing well. Highly recommend to all cat owners 😻 Thank you guys !!”

About: Myself and my partner Lou have both grown up with dogs of varying ages, sizes and breeds. Lou grew up with a lovely westie, Scruffy and more recently a lovable cheeky rescue dog, Milo. I grew up with 8 dogs over the years, varying breeds and sizes, mostly rescue dogs from a shelter in Cyprus where we have both volunteered when we have visited. We look forward to welcoming your dogs into our home, treating them as part of our family. We are used to adapting interactions and walks to depending on the dogs, age and needs. Please see our photos for our family dogs and friends dogs we have cared for over the years. Dan works remotely at least 3 days a week and my schedule is pretty flexible from week to week. We are also pretty free on many weekends and can be flexible with you and your pets needs. Please contact us, we’d love to chat and get to know you and your pet(s) before looking after them. We have a private fenced garden at the back of our house. We also live near 2 big parks which we would use for walks. We are adaptable and flexible to work with you and your pets needs.

“Marta was lovely to have looking after my cat, she bonded really well with him very quickly, kept me fully informed while I was away, played with him and send me plenty of photos upon request! Overall handled him great and gave me peace of mind while I was away. Very happy to book her again when I need to go away, and would highly recommend!”

About: I've taken care of a few dogs in my family since very young and I've always been the person friends call when they need someone to look after their dogs. I love spending time with dogs, have a few walks in a day, and giving them attention. I am currently taking a career break so I have plenty of time spending with the dog. I usually stay home during office hours and have a walk or jogging during the day. I don't have any pets or children in my home. I live on any apartment mand there is no risk of letting the dog run away.
About: Since a young age I have always loved being surrounded by animals. Over recent years, I have regularly looked after my friends and family members pets, whether it was for a day or a week, and give them lots of attention when they stay over. I work from home full time, which gives me flexibility with my schedule, and I keep my Rover calendar up to date with my availability. I currently live in a ground floor flat with direct access to a fenced off garden. Both adjacent neighbours do not own any animals. I can easily adapt the housing environment to suit your dogs needs.
“Maria was absolutely amazing for our daytime housesit / dogsit from 12-10pm, and both our dogs loved her 🥰 She is such a kind, bubbly person they warmed to her straightaway, plus she knows so much about dogs with lots of experience too! She checked in the perfect amount with photos and pupdates! Also left us a little thank you note and tiramisu 🥹 and even offered to stay later which was really kind. Thank you Maria 🫶”

“Neneh looked after our little cat Jinx while we were on holiday. She took great care of Jinx and was highly professional at all times. Jinx formed a lovely bond with Neneh, who is a true cat lover. Thanks so much Neneh!”

About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I currently co-parent two French Bulldogs and understand the love, care and attention dogs need to feel happy and secure. I’ve also helped raise rescue puppies from birth, giving me experience caring for very young dogs and understanding their individual needs. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, administering basic care, exercise, enrichment and providing plenty of affection. I know how important it is to leave your dog with someone you trust, so I’ll treat your dog as if they were my own and keep you updated with regular photos and messages while you’re away. I’m based in Ealing but also spend a lot of time in Barnes if you needed someone local there I work from home, which means I’m around throughout the day to provide company, supervision and plenty of attention. Your dog won’t be left alone for long periods and can enjoy a calm, relaxed environment with regular toilet breaks, playtime, walks and, of course, unlimited cuddles if that’s what they love. I’ll do my best to maintain their usual routine so they feel comfortable and settled during their stay. Your dog’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, including rescue puppies from birth. I take time to understand each dog’s personality, routine and needs to help them feel secure and at home. Whether your dog loves playtime, quiet companionship or endless cuddles, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of care, attention and affection while keeping you updated with regular photos and messages.
About: Hiya! I have a very big love for dogs, and am happy to give them the love they need when you go on holiday, need to work from the office, or just have fun pet-free plans. I’ve taken care of so many different kinds of dog breeds (old and young) on Rover! Some highlights: Bernedoodle, Vizsla, Golden retriever, Pug, Pomeranian, Great Dane, Bernese mountain dog, Giant poodle, Toy poodle, Staff terrier, Jack russell terrier, Yorkshire terrier, Mixed breads. I’ve also taken care of my own toy poodle for 14 years (who has sadly passed a few years ago) and have cared for my friends and neighbour’s dogs as well. I like taking the dogs I meet on Rover on walks in the surrounding areas: Avondale Park, Holland Park and Hyde Park are very fun for walks. Sometimes we even travel outside of London to places like Black Park County Park, Richmond Park, and hiking trails near Surrey with the dogs we care for, so they can have longer country walks. Just in case, we have an airtag we can put on their collar and are always extra careful on these long walks with dogs. :) We (My husband and I!) have a nice private garden for your furry friends to play and exercise in. To give you peace of mind, you can expect to get photos and videos of your furry friend while they are staying with us. I’ll also always update you if there’s any questions or concerns so no need to worry about them while you’re away! I work hybrid at the moment so I’m free to care for your pet on most weekdays, after work and weekends. I prefer boarding stays that are 5 days or less but for longer stays it’s negotiable. Especially if I’ve taken care of your pup before! Dogs I’ve cared for easily trust me, and have fun walking around the nieghborhood or in parks in the area. I am always careful to keep the dogs I walk safe and stay clear of busy roads. Thanks for considering me to be your dog’s next sitter!✨
About: Hi! I'm Caitlin I’m 25 and my favourite way to spend time is outdoors, come rain or shine and training my 18month German shepherd called Kaia- who’s super friendly but can be quite anxious at times. So I have spent lots of time and energy into learning from others how to specifically train/help her with her anxiety around other dogs and separation from the pack. If this is a trait that your pet has then I can understand how hard it is to leave them with a stranger however I believe my experiences makes me the perfect sitter/walker for any type of dog even those who struggle with confidence. Saying that playtime and cuddles will always be my favourite part of the day! I have experience with walking lots of different breeds of dogs when doing favours for family and friends and have also experience of dog sitting for two lovely pups who’s favourite game was running after a laser pen! Even though I wasn't fortunate enough to grow up with pets at home (not from a lack of begging at every Christmas and birthday...) my favourite holidays were ones where I could visit family with pets that I could walk, train and pretend were my own, from a very young age I was building the foundations of the essential qualities needed to have a pet. I am a freelance assistant working in the creative industry as my background and passion is Photography, this leaves plenty of time in my week for caring for your pet as jobs for me don't come on a regular schedule. As I currently live at home overnight boarding isn't possible yet but pet sitting and walking is definitely a service I can provide. I'm very flexible with timings as long as your pet can be left for a minimum of 3 hours so I can engage with my other passion, health and fitness because just as important as it is to keep our pets healthy I need exercise daily too! I'm really open with my dates and times when I'm not working I have almost endless free time to dedicate to caring for your furry loved one! I have a German Shepard but she lives majority of the time with her other pet parent 5 minutes drive away so although your pet can have a friendly play mate its also avoidable if necessary. I can provide a crate if needed. My garden is fenced and I have multiple parks very close by as well as access to private land where being off lead is very safe. Kaia has had a few health dramas in her short life so have had practise in administrating oral meds, sometimes tablets that had to have been wrapped in chicken or cheese!

About: I regularly care for my mum’s 2 dogs, including a rescue, which requires more patience and understanding than usual. This has included feeding, walking, picking up poo, and giving medicine and other requirements on schedule. I have also dog sat for other clients for whole weekends. In addition, I have looked after cats, including experience house sitting with a cat for more than a week. As I have always grown up with a cat in the house, I recognise their behaviours easily and can tend to them as needed. I woke full time, but from home. I also work flexible hours, so can tend to your pets inclusive of their needs. I can be completely free anytime before 10am, between 12-2pm, and after 4pm. This means I can accommodate any pet routine, and pay them ample attention. I am respectful of other people’s homes, and ensure I follow the rules. If the pet has limitations on access in the house, I will ensure this is abided by. I never leave food unattended around pets. If the dog goes outside, I will observe until it comes back inside. When looking after a dog, I will ensure I am in its company. When looking after a cat, I will ensure constant check ins to ensure it’s comfortable.
“Celine did a AMAZING job with our boys! She gave daily updates with pics, played, with them and kept the house very clean esp. when they made a mess! She also helped with our packages that arrived. Her attention to detail from making sure that the house is well-ventilated to knowing each cat’s preference is what we appreciate most.Highly recommend her!”

Alberto is EVERYTHING we wanted in a sitter! He’s punctual, clean, communicative and very precise. But more than any of this, he treated our cats exactly as we would, and our cats loved him! He really has a way with them - he gave each of them equal amounts of time, and he played and kept them engaged. They were so calm and relaxed when we came back as though they hadn’t been left alone at all, and it just gave us so much peace knowing they were being so well looked after. To find someone who genuinely cares for cats is very rare, and I’m so glad we found him. Needless to say, Alberto is going to be our go-to sitter every time we need to go somewhere.

Estelle was great! She took great care of our two cats and kept us regularly updated while we were away, which gave us real peace of mind. It was clear they were happy and well looked after. We’d happily book her again and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a great cat sitter!
Terri looked after our cats Mali and Cleo whilst we were away for 7 days. She was great, very caring and kept us up to date with lovely pictures and an update on how they were doing daily. We were really impressed and would definitely use her services again the next time we go away 😊

Moesha looked after Messi while we were away for the weekend. She was great from the initial meeting where I shared details of Messi’s usual routine to all the communication while we were away. Daily photos and videos showed he was being very well looked after and was very chilled and happy. Thank you Moesha!

Vikttoria is such a lovely lady. I trusted her instantly when I met her. She looked after my very shy cat Simba for a couple of days while we were away. She visited my home at the arranged times and made sure there was food and water for my cat and that everything was ok. She sent me updates and photos from every visit. I will book her again when I need this service in the future.

Luna was very well taken care of in my absence! She’s very anxious around people and tends to hide from sitters, but Jan Kaela was extremely patient with her and even managed to make her feel comfortable enough to leave her hiding spot! I will absolutely be booking her again next time I’m away :)

Rose was fantastic. Clearly knows cats well, bonded with ours from day one. She communicated promptly with pics and good vibes every day, and managed extra details like vitamins and brushing with ease. She thoughtfully set up an ice pack unprompted when a heatwave hit. Would definitely recommend and book again.

Our little cat was poorly just before our holiday and we were very nervous to leave her - Kath was an absolute godsend!! She kept us informed, gave Poppy lots of love and attention - Poppy made a swift recovery and we were able to have a long-awaited holiday with peace of mind. I can’t recommend her more highly and am so grateful!!

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
