Happy Paws Happy Me!

Hi, and thank you so much for stopping by my profile. I recently lost my sweet boy, Buddy, at the age of twelve. He was my everything—my heartbeat, my best friend, and my family. Life feels a little emptier without him, but caring for other pets helps keep my heart full. I’ve had animals in my life for over 30 years, including two dogs and a cat, and I know how much trust it takes to leave your fur-baby with someone else. I’ve been in your shoes, worrying while away, hoping the person watching my pet would treat them like their own. That’s exactly the kind of care I promise to give your pet—lots of love, cuddles, patience, and attention to every detail of their needs. I currently only have a sweet cockatiel (kept in a cage), so your pet will get my full attention. I have experience training puppies, and I always walk dogs safely on leash. I’ll also send plenty of photos and videos so you never feel far away. Since Buddy was a senior with special medical needs, I’m especially comfortable caring for older dogs and can administer medications if needed. There’s just something so special about those gentle senior paws, I even have a dog pram that I can use if your fur-baby doesnt walk too much. I know my Buddy before he passed loved long walks in his pram, he just loved observing the world go by. More than anything, I want you to feel at ease knowing your best friend is safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away.

Coco had a wonderful time with Nimi and her lovely family. It was her first time boarding outside home. She was very happy and well looked after. Nimi took lots of amazing photos and videos. We got regular updates throughout her stay. Coco’s wellbeing was Nimi’s top priority and this was most important for us in deciding to leave her there. Thank you so much for everything you did d for our little puppy Coco.

Our six month old puppy really enjoyed spending a day at Nirmita’s warm, welcoming and clean abode. I was glad that Nirmita was available to look after her. She was well looked after, had her walks, bumped into her park friend and I received regular updates about everything that was happening. This was reassuring. Our puppy was happy, well looked after and relaxed. We noticed that she was as bubbly as she was when we left her. This also reflected in her behaviour after she returned home. She is calm and is very well behaved.

Schedule

From November 2025 I will be starting work and will have three days in the office, this is flexible. My husband also works from home 2 days as week so someone would always be with your pup. My in-laws live at home and they are always at home so your pup would never be left alone. My usual days to dog sit where I would be at home with your pup would be Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday - however I'm flexible with my on office days and share dog sitting with my husband.

Safety, trust & environment

Your fur-baby will be treated just like family here. They’ll have access to the whole house, and if they love curling up on the bed at night—that’s more than welcome! I also have a fully fenced garden where they can go out as often as they like, always under my supervision. For pups who feel more comfortable with their own space, I have a large crate/pen that I can set up to make them feel right at home.

A typical day

Your pup will be walked morning, afternoon and evenings (depending on usual activity and age). Obviously if it's too hot or cold I will do what's in the best interest of your pup. We will have regular play time; soft football in the house, belly rubs galore, fetch in the garden, licki matt etc. Your pup will be loved and spoilt beyond means. If your pup requires training this can be incorporated in as well.

A little info about your furry friend 🐾 Before looking after your pup, I’d love to learn a bit more about them. Every dog has their own routine, quirks, and personality, and knowing these little details helps me make sure they feel safe, happy, and right at home while we’re together. To help me give your pet the best care, it’s really helpful to know: 🥣 Feeding routine – when they eat, how much, and any special diet. 🐕 Exercise needs – how often they like to walk or play, and for how long. 💊 Health info – medications, allergies, or vet details (just in case). 🐾 Training & commands – words or cues they know (sit, stay, recall, etc.). 🛏️ Sleeping setup – crate, bed, or snuggling with humans. 🍖 Treats & rewards – favourites (and anything they can’t have). 🚽 Toilet training – are they house-trained? 💕 Personality & quirks – things they love, things that worry them, or any special habits. For example, my dog (who's passed away) the older he got the more shorter his fuse got. He didn’t like being bothered by children and would run away or give a stern warning... to be fair at the age of 80 human years who like being chased. He also wasnt keen on knowing other dogs so I never forced him to interact, we let him deicide by watching his body language. Knowing little details like this helps me make sure your pup feels safe and happy.
