It’s a pup’s world
I work from home, so I’m able to spend plenty of time with the dogs in my care and be flexible around their individual routines, personalities and energy levels. I’m very attentive to behaviour and body language and take the time to understand what each dog needs to feel comfortable and settled. I’m happy caring for young, energetic puppies as well as older or more relaxed dogs, and can accommodate specific routines, dietary requirements or other needs. I also have a spacious, fully secure garden with easy access, as well as several parks nearby. I want every dog staying with me to feel safe, happy and well cared for.

Alma was amazing with our 4 month old pup! We had never left her with a sitter before and Alma listened to all our worries and instructions, made sure we were calm and pup was happy. Updated us with pictures all the way through and in the end our baby didn't want to leave and was very excited to come back the next day!
Alma is an all-round wonderful person. She accommodated us at very short notice and was consistently prompt and responsive. While taking care of Vickey, she kept us updated with plenty of photos, which we really appreciated.

Schedule
I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so I am able to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I have an existing daily routine of going for local walks, which I’m happy to incorporate into their routine where appropriate. I’m flexible around the individual needs of each dog, whether they need plenty of activity and stimulation or a quieter, more relaxed day; I can generally adapt my routine to accommodate your pet.

Safety, trust & environment
I work professionally with people that requires an attention to behaviour and I extend the same awareness to caring for animals. I take the time to understand each dog as an individual and pay attention to their cues so they can feel comfortable, safe and settled. Pets staying with me are cared for in my home, with a secure, fully gated and walled garden with a good-sized area of grass and patio. I’m happy to follow your usual routines around feeding, walks, rest and anything else that helps your pet feel at home. Unless you tell me otherwise, it would be my pleasure to shower them with attention and affection, and I’ll look after them as if they were my own. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you know how they’re getting on.
A typical day
Every dog is different, so I’m flexible and happy to shape their day around their usual routine, energy levels and personality. There are several parks locally that I walk frequently, which gives dogs the opportunity for exercise, new surroundings and, where appropriate, socialising with other dogs. I can accommodate high-energy dogs who enjoy plenty of activity and play, as well as chilled-out couch potatoes who are happiest taking things at a slower pace. Their day can be adapted as needed with walks, garden time, play, enrichment, attention and plenty of time to relax. My aim is for your dog to feel comfortable and cared for rather than simply fitting into a fixed schedule. For longer stays, I’m happy to keep you updated with photos and messages so you can see what your pet has been up to.

- The more I know about your pet, the better I can tailor their care to them. Please let me know about any special needs, dietary requirements, medications, routines or personality traits that would be useful for me to know. I’d also love to know the little things - what they enjoy, what they’re nervous about, how they like to settle and anything that helps them feel comfortable away from home. For boarding stays, I encourage you to bring a favourite toy or familiar item from home to help them feel settled in a new environment.
