About: I love to look after family friends dogs, I will bring them on lovely walks in nature, or stay in their house looking after them and playing with their favourite toys. I am caring, reliable and would love to take care of your furry family member! I’m currently a university Student Studying Occupational therapy. I now have free time due to finishing the academic year, meaning I am currently very flexible with time and often available. I have a cat of my own at home so would not be able to bring dogs to my home. I am very happy for home drop ins and dog walking.

About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter is my hands on experience caring for pets of all ages and my genuine love for animals. I have looked after both young and senior dogs, so I'm comfortable adapting to different needs, whether that's keeping an energetic puppy entertained or providing gentle, patient care for an older dog. As a pet owner myself, with two cats and one dog, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pets as if they were their own. I'm reliable, attentive, and committed to making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I always take the time to get to know each pet's routine and personality so they receive the best possible care. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine as I have a very flexible schedule and am available every day of the week. This allows me to accommodate your pet's usual routine, whether they need early morning visits, midday check-ins, evening care, or overnight stays. I understand that every pet has different needs, so I'm happy to work around what suits you and your pet best. I can also provide care in your own home, helping your pets stay comfortable and relaxed in their familiar environment while you're away. My goal is to provide reliable, loving care that gives you complete peace of mind. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment where they can feel relaxed. I have a secure garden for dogs to enjoy supervised outdoor time, and I also have a friendly, well-socialised dog who gets along well with other dogs. I always make sure introductions are done carefully and that every pet feels safe and comfortable. When caring for pets in an owner's home, I understand the importance of keeping their routine as normal as possible. I'm happy to adapt to your pet's usual schedule, including feeding times, walks, playtime, medication, and any specific instructions you have. I believe every pet is unique, so I'll provide personalised care based on what works best for you and your pet, ensuring they feel happy, secure, and well looked after while you're away.

About: I’ve had a pet cat my entire life, her name is pearl and she’s 21. As I’ve had her my whole life i know how to take care of pets very well and know what they need while also enjoying spending time with them very much. As my cats quite old I also understand the importance in care elderly pets need. I’m currently a student at university, hence during summer Im completely free to spend time with your pets and to give them all my attention. I have an elderly cat who I attend most of the time at home to make sure she’s healthy & happy. If that means fun with toys, giving food or medicine, cleaning or anything else, I can do it.

We are extremely happy with our first service! Olivia took care of our border terriers. One is 5 years old and very friendly, while the other is 8 months old and can get quite anxious. We were confident that our dogs were in good hands, and they appeared calm when we returned home from work. Communication was excellent, and we couldn't recommend Olivia enough! Thank you!

Alvin was an amazing cat sitter and I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He was very polite, kind, reliable, and clearly cared a lot about my cats. He kept me updated with photos and messages, made sure everything was clean and taken care of, and really gave me peace of mind while I was away. Most importantly, my cats were very comfortable around him, which says a lot because they can usually be a bit cautious with new people. It was obvious they felt safe and relaxed in his care. I would absolutely recommend Alvin to anyone looking for a trustworthy and genuinely lovely pet sitter. Thank you again for taking such good care of them!

About: My dog Bowie is at the centre of everything I do, and I wanted to build something that reflects the way I believe everyday life should feel for dogs. Bowie’s Buddies is a way to turn the love and attention I give him every day into something I can share. A simple, reliable dog walking service that steps in when it’s needed, making sure dogs still get the time, care, and presence that make a real difference to their day, and giving owners peace of mind that their dogs are being looked after with genuine thought, affection, and consistency. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I currently work as a teacher and have Wednesday mornings available during term time, as well as full availability during school holidays. My partner and I run Bowie’s Buddies together, allowing us to provide reliable care and maintain excellent communication with our clients. As a dog owner myself, daily walks, exercise, and enrichment are already a key part of my routine. Caring for dogs is something I genuinely enjoy, and I carefully manage my schedule to ensure every dog receives the time, attention, and care they deserve. I am committed to being dependable, punctual, and responsive, and I always prioritise the wellbeing and safety of the dogs in my care. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing will always be my top priority. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. I hold Dog First Aid certificates and have experience caring for and handling dogs on a daily basis. I take the time to get to know each dog’s personality, routine, and individual needs to ensure they are safe, comfortable, and happy in my care. I believe clear communication is essential, so I’ll always keep owners updated and are happy to provide photos and updates after walks. Before taking on any new dog, I arrange a meet-and-greet to understand their temperament, routines, and any specific requirements. Our goal is simple: to provide a safe, reliable, and caring service that gives owners complete peace of mind.

I am currently taking a personal break from my regular 9-5 job and looking to get back into dog sitting and enjoying time with new dogs. Our home features a secure, fully fenced garden with both grass and paved areas. Dogs are welcome on the sofas and beds, but please let us know if you prefer we discourage this!

Emma was excellent with my dog Ruby and I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. She helped me out at short notice with a one-hour house visit and was reliable, calm, and professional throughout. She first came over for a quick re-meet beforehand so Ruby could refresh with her, which I really appreciated. During that visit she was very measured and confident, even when Ruby got a bit over-excited on seeing her again, and handled the introduction really well. On the day itself she communicated clearly, showed initiative, checked details when needed, let Ruby out for a toilet break, gave her the treats I’d left, and made sure she was settled and comfortable. When I got home, Ruby was calm and happy — always the best sign of good care. Emma also kindly brought in an Amazon parcel while she was there, which was a thoughtful extra touch. She’s a trustworthy, capable, former veterinary nurse who’s great with dogs — highly recommended.

Yes, absolutely! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Reigate pet parents with similar pet households.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Reigate choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
