Hey, I’m Maria 👋🏼 I’ve grown up with dogs since I was 5 years old and they’ve always been a huge part of my life. Over the years, I have volunteered with Guide Dogs and have also taken responsibility for caring for my own dogs, as well as family and friends’ pets—always giving them the love and attention they deserve as part of the family 🐶 Friends, family, and neighbours have relied on me to care for their pets, whether that means daily walks, playtime, or making sure they feel comfortable and happy while their owners are away. I understand that every dog has their own personality and needs, and I treat each one with patience, care, and of course, plenty of cuddles & affection 🐾 My husband & I recently bought a new house so I don’t live with my family dog anymore but we would love our own dog in the future! 🫶🏼 Please note, as I am new to Rover, my prices are introductory prices for now & may be subject to change!

After a lot of searching I found Maria and I am so glad I did. It was the first time we had left champ and I was very nervous about it. We exchanged lots of messages before his stay, Maria and her husband Vern completely put my mind at rest and I felt at ease as soon as I met them, I just new champ would be in good hands and well looked after. He had a 3 night stay with them,they kept me updated throughout his stay with pictures and messages. Champ had a whale of a time, they kept him in his usual routine with nice walks over the park, lots of lovely cuddles too which he is used to,it really was a home from home experience for him, I can’t thank Maria enough.Champ was so relaxed and I had a very happy dog when I picked him up, I would thoroughly recommend Maria and her husband Vern they was just amazing. I will definitely be using Maria again, I reckon champ will be very pleased to stay again
Maria and her husband Vernon were fantastic with our pup, Chloe! Even though Chloe was a little unsettled about being away from home initially, they both did her best to comfort and entertain her and she enjoyed her stay! They have a lovely place with garden and near plenty of big parks for great walks! I would recommend Maria to others :)
Maria and her husband were brilliant with my nervous 10 year old dog. They were patient, kind and took on board her feeding schedule with no problems. Maria was always polite, friendly and reliable. She gave us updates during the stay including photos. We will definitely be using her again.

Maria welcomed our dog into her lovely home (so last minute!) and he was instantly at home! Maria sent us regular updates and our dog was so happy when we went to pick him up after having such a lovely day in the garden! Would highly recommend and book with her again :)
Hestia went in without any hesitation, which shows how much she likes Maria’s home and how much more confident she felt on her third stay. Maria sent us photos from Hestia’s walks and kept us informed when she finished her meals. Hestia was happy to take treats from Maria’s hand and even went over to her for a hug and a tummy rub. We are very grateful for Maria’s patience and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their dogs. We will definitely continue booking with Maria and hope to arrange longer stays in the future.

Schedule
I work full time as a teacher, so I’m available for dog walks from 4:15–8:30pm during the week, except Wednesday. I am available for dog walks all day Saturday & Sunday. I’m available for boarding everyday besides Wednesdays, however I am at work from Monday-Friday 8am-4:15pm, therefore your dog would be at home with my husband during these times, as he works from home.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a house with a large, fully fenced garden & am also a 5 minute walk from a large country park, perfect for dog walks! If it is your preference, I can crate your dog overnight, or they’re welcome to sleep upstairs on the bedroom floor next to me, or downstairs in a cozy dog bed/on the rug. My priority is making sure your dog feels comfortable, safe, and cared for just like they would at home.
A typical day
I can play with your dog at home, take them to the field for a run, or go on a relaxed walk—whatever suits their energy levels best. I also enjoy engaging dogs with fun brain games to keep them mentally stimulated and entertained, so don’t be afraid to bring along their toys too!

- Please do let me know if your dog has any special or medical needs that need to be accommodated for at the time of booking. My own family dog requires medication daily so I am happy to administer oral medication or assist with any other medical/additional needs your dog has ☺️
