I work in the office on Mondays and Tuesdays, but I am home for the rest of the week while the children are at school. This means I’m able to offer plenty of supervision, companionship, and consistent care throughout the day ideal for cats and dogs who enjoy company and routine. During the weekdays, pets are cared for in a calm, quiet home environment with regular check-ins, playtime, feeding, and enrichment. At weekends, our full family of four is around. We love spending time outdoors and often enjoy local forest walks, making weekends perfect for dogs who enjoy gentle adventures, fresh air, and lots of extra attention. Cats benefit from additional companionship, cuddles, and a lively but loving household. I’m open to all boarding requests and understand that every pet and family is different please feel free to reach out and we can make a plan that suits your pet’s routine and needs.

Your pet’s safety, comfort, and wellbeing are my top priorities. I care for pets in a clean, calm, and pet-free family home, which allows me to provide close supervision and a relaxed environment. I follow each pet’s usual routine, feeding instructions, and care preferences, and I’m careful to maintain consistency to help them feel settled and secure. Pets are never left unattended for long periods, and I always ensure doors, gates, and living areas are kept secure. I’m experienced in handling pets gently and respectfully, including cats with specific care needs such as regular grooming, nail trimming, and ear cleaning when required. Children in our home are calm, kind, and taught to interact with pets safely and respectfully at all times, with supervision. I’m happy to provide regular updates, photos, and messages, so you can feel confident and reassured while you’re away. I also encourage meet & greets beforehand to make sure it’s the right fit for both you and your pet. My aim is to create a safe, loving, home from home environment where your pet feels comfortable, cared for, and treated as part of the family.

Pet care experience
I have been around animals my whole life and grew up with dogs as part of my family. As an adult, I also owned my own Sphynx cats, so I am very comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, routines, and needs. From the age of 17, I regularly dog-sat for a family friend while she travelled for work, caring for her Greyhound over weekends in her home. This involved feeding, walking, companionship, and ensuring her dog felt calm, settled, and well cared for in her owner’s absence. I have also dog sat for my aunt and uncle’s Labrador for extended periods of 2–3 weeks at a time when they go on holiday. During these stays, I took full responsibility for daily care, exercise, routines, and plenty of attention and affection. I now live in a pet-free family home with my husband and our two children, who absolutely love animals and are gentle, calm, and respectful around pets. Your dog would be welcomed into our home as part of the family and cared for in a safe, loving, and relaxed environment.

Lauren and her family are an absolute dream. They are kind and caring and took great care of my two little doggies. Despite one being quite anxious, they both settled in quickly and felt immediately at home. Lauren has a fab house and big garden so the doggies have plenty room to run around and explore. I will definitely be booking again :)

Mango had a great time with Lauren and her family. She was very prompt in communication, set up a meet and greet and asked about Mango's routine when we left him for day care. She also shared the pictures and regular updates about Mango. Mango was super happy when I picked him up. Highly recommend Lauren!
Lauren has looked after my two pups whenever I've been on holiday or needed a day off for the past three years! They're two rescues and are fairly anxious with new people, but they have LOVED spending time with her and her family :) When I go to pick them up they don't want to come back :D Whilst looking after them Lauren regularly sends me photos letting me know what the pups are up to which i love :) She's a great dogsitter / dogwalker - 10/10 would recommend!
