Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine as I have my own cat and have always prioritised the needs of my pets - sometimes before my own! I work full time in a hybrid role in the city, but I have a car which gives me flexibility to reliably cover morning and evening visits, as well as spend quality time ensuring cats are comfortable and well cared for.

It’s really helpful to know your cat’s routine, and any specific preferences in advance - like feeding times, favourite foods, and how they like to interact. I also like to know about any medical needs, allergies, or behaviours to be aware of, as well as vet details (and their carrier!) in case of emergencies. Little things like their favourite toys, hiding spots, or anything that might cause stress also really help me make sure your cat feels as comfortable and settled whilst you’re away.
A typical day
A typical day starts with a morning visit for feeding, fresh water, and a litter tray clean, followed by some playtime or gentle company - depending on your cat’s personality. In the evening, I return for dinner, another clean-up and more quality time - cuddles if they’re affectionate or calm companionship if they prefer their space. I also keep a close eye on their behaviour and wellbeing, and send regular updates so you know they’re in happy and safe hands.

Hello, my name is Ashayghee (also go by Shay) and I absolutely LOVE cats! I am most definitely that person that stops on the streets to make friends with a cat. I've had cats all my life, and most recently, a rescue cat called Purdy who is 12 years old. I've found joy in caring for cats while their owners are away. Each visit brings unique personalities to life, from playful antics to cosy snuggles. I love creating a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring each cat feels loved and entertained. I can visit up to twice a day depending on you and your cats needs.

She's a professional cat sitter and the main thing the cats love her even our grumpy old cat who is likely to bite any stranger. She sent lots of pictures and a video at every visit. We have a mischievous kitten who made a mess, she cleaned it up like it newer happened. Overall very satisfied with her and definitely book her again.

Would highly recommend Shay. She was so good with our cats Lenny and Leo giving us plenty of updates with photos and videos 😻 making your holiday easy knowing they were left in good hands.
