“I was traveling from out of state and had to attend GCU last min. Zinnia responded right away and helped me with Blake. She is truly the best and Blake enjoyed her time with her. Thank you again Zinnia for your help and responding back right away. Will recommend to anyone!!”

“Lorin and her family kept my pup safe during the day! She was able to help us out on short notice. My pup came back happy and worn out from all the activity he had. He will be back in the future for more doggie daycare! Thanks Lorin and family!”

“This was our first daycare experience and Jennifer was absolutely wonderful. She checked in frequently throughout the day and sent picture updates. Macy usually has a little anxiety in new situations but Jennifer put her so at ease, there was none. Thank you for giving Macy such a exceptional experience!”

“Monica is AMAZING! I feel like I hit the jackpot with her watching my puppy Lennon. She sent pictures, communicated throughout the day, and I can tell she truly loves and cares for Lennon. She is also patient and extremely knowledgable as well. I can’t recommend her enough!! If I could she would be rated way above 5 starts!”

About: I have been taking care of dogs for more than 10 years. I am excited to get to meet new dogs and take care of them. I am currently working a low amount of hours and have many free days in my schedule. I would like to this to meet knew pets in my free time. I dont have any pets at the moment in my apartment. I have pet facilities in my building for them to play and enjoy .
“I am so thankful for Joanna and Haiti for making this entire experience so smooth! This was my first time ever leaving my pup alone with someone else. He's a pup that is afraid of people so I was extremely nervous that he was going to cause trouble, but by the end of the night I got pictures sent of him cuddling away with Joanna! I couldn't believe it was the same dog. I am so thankful of all the updates and her huge efforts with my scared pup. I will definitely book again if I ever need someone to watch my pup!”

About: I’m excited to fulfill my fervent passion for caring for fluffy companions while making your family’s life easier! Given that I'm building clientele, here’s $20 off your first booking with Rover in exchange for your feedback: https://www.rover.com/sit/susanb60924 I aim to provide you and your dearest pet with the best experiences and outcomes to ensure they’re happy, healthy, and safe in any environment. My communication will be clear, and follow-ups will be provided promptly. I look forward to developing a special bond and doting on your beloved pet! tl;dr: You’ll notice that my profile is robust, which is intentional because 1) I want to ensure that I’m a good fit for your family and pet’s needs, and 2) It’s essential to have a thorough and holistic view of your pet to ensure you’ll have peace of mind and assurance while you’re away. Experience: My entire life, I’ve gravitated to all creatures, big and small, and I finally have the opportunity to indulge my love of pets while helping others simultaneously! My professional background in the corporate digital technology industry and 40+ years of personal experience caring for animals is rooted in growing up in a rural Midwestern farming community. My earliest memories consist of helping my parents raise and train award-winning show and service dogs for people who have disabilities, breeding and showing Clydesdales, loving on my cats/kittens, and tending to countless aquatic and insect friends. Even though I’m allergic to all animals, except for dogs, you’d still find me frolicking in nature, surrounded by farm animals/livestock, obsessively studying and doting on my animal family and other cherished critters. While living in Chicago, I volunteered at PAWS (the Midwest’s largest non-profit no-kill animal shelter). I consistently travel locally and cross-country to pet sit for friends and family and never pass up an opportunity to be in the company of the most precious and bestest boys/girls (of the animal species, that is). Due to diligently catering to my pets, I have robust awareness and knowledge and am tremendously experienced with all aspects of a pet’s life, personality, and needs: puppies, seniors, rescues, special needs, terminal illness, parasitic/intestinal ailments, medications and administering subcutaneous fluid IVs (renal failure), food allergies, specialized diets/restrictions, treating other medical conditions, training, behavioral issues, and grooming/hygiene best practices. About my pets: My sassy and exuberant silky terriers (previously Miss Addi and now, 2-1/2-year-old Tater Tot) have been/are always by my side. Each moved interstate with us—living the city life in Chicago, then coastal Southern California, and now Phoenix. We’ve created countless joy-filled memories exploring and adventuring (road trips to national parks, vacationing in cities, visiting friends, dining out, extended sniff-patrol strolls, hiking in the mountains, camping, walks on the beach, kayaking, and boating). While living in CA, unfortunately, Miss Addi endured Cushing’s syndrome and started experiencing strokes and seizures. Shortly after moving to AZ, she was then diagnosed with terminal renal failure. We were determined and committed to giving her the most comfortable and best life possible. The final two years of her journey required around-the-clock monitoring, regimented medical interventions, and customized care. While it was such a gut-wrenching experience, we diligently researched, sought out experts, and immersed ourselves in learning about the intricacies of senior/emergency/end-of-life hospice care and how to grieve and cope with the loss of a beloved companion. She lived a full life, we celebrated her 16th birthday and she chose to pass over the rainbow bridge later the same day. A month later, Tater Tot joined our little family. Though he has experienced his fair share of shenanigans at an early age, he is such a resilient, demure, and cheerful little fella! We love him to pieces; he is simply the best! Further Context: I truly empathize and understand the level of decision-making that goes into finding trustworthy, quality care for your beloved companions. Since Rover’s inception, I’ve relied on its service model (as a consumer) due to limitations with traditional dog boarders, and it often wasn’t an ideal solution for my dog’s needs. While we’ve had extremely positive experiences with daycare/boarding facilities, we’ve also dealt with miscommunication, irresponsible and dangerous situations that resulted in stress-induced weight loss, neglect, behavioral issues, illness, and emergency vet visits. With thorough vetting, Rover gave me peace of mind that my most precious family member’s well-being and special needs were prioritized while catering to my busy schedule and last-minute travel engagements. Rover allowed me to move seamlessly through the demands of life and was instrumental while transitioning to new cities. I am grateful for the Rover Petting community and their continued care for my fur babies throughout all phases of their lives. My schedule is flexible, and I am more than happy to work together on a mutually agreed upon routine and care plan for your pet. For short-term stays/overnight boarding at my residence, please consider the following. Household members: - My Partner works remotely. He grew up with golden retrievers, golden doodles, and many other pets and sincerely loves all animals. He is kind-natured and has years of experience caring for and watching friends and family pets. - Tater Tot, our 2-1/2-year-old Silky Terrier, completed private 1:1 obedience training with a professional, certified, and highly reviewed dog trainer. Same for Miss Addi. - Fully vaccinated, receives tic/flea guard and preventative heartworm medications - Tater Tot responds to basic commands, plays well with dogs, and acts politely around humans and other animals. He is highly adaptable in all environments, walks well on a leash, is comfortable on car rides, and is potty-pad/crate-trained. - We do not give our pets people food/snacks due to health/diet restrictions. However, let us know if your pups love partaking in human foods! Living conditions and details: - Secure 2,000 sq. ft. residence in a gated multi-unit living community - Single floor plan layout is kept clean and sanitary - Puppy-proofed (bedrooms can be gated off, and there's enough space for a small pen enclosure/crate in the living area) - There are two small balconies with 3 ft high railings. We created a dedicated potty area on one of the balconies. - We DO NOT have an adjacent/walkout yard - An elevator or four small flights of stairs are required for walks outside - There is a doggy run/area on the property, but it does not meet our quality control standards - The neighborhood is dog-friendly and walkable. It’s comprised of a mix of residential homes, multi-unit complexes, shops, and restaurants. - Weather permitting, walks to Hance Park are ~1 mi. away
“Truly, the best sitter ever and this is coming from a first time Rover user was very nervous, but felt that this was the right place for dolce tons of updates and they have beautiful dogs truly thankful”

About: I provide a calm, structured, stable environment for dogs of any size or temperament—especially those anxious, sensitive, or reactive—to relax and feel secure. I work from home and make my own hours, so my schedule is flexible. And I regularly take walks, so adding dog companions is easy! A dog’s primary stressor is uncertainty. An uncertain dog has no direction—they don't know what to do, where to go, or how to behave; they can’t predict outcomes and thus regard all stimuli as potential threats. So, to prevent uncertainty, I define clear rules, boundaries, and limitations that communicate my role, expectations, and competence as their temporary pack leader. This communication enables dogs in my care to feel secure, relieving them of the burden of leadership and encouraging them to relax. And once relaxed, I reinforce this state of mind through play and affection. This is how dogs in healthy packs interact with each other. They don’t fear; they confront. They don’t tolerate; they address. They don’t intimidate; they instruct. They don’t entice; they encourage. They don’t comfort; they correct. By me employing these same behaviors, dogs in my care—even and especially those most fearful or aggressive—regard me as one of them. They respect me because I respect them. An additional benefit to this approach is that I remain in control for the duration of the care. This control minimizes surprises, ensuring that the dogs’ behavior is predictable and therefore manageable, providing you with confidence and peace of mind. Oh, and I also give lots of massages. ;)

“David was awesome. He was super accommodating and easy to communicate with from start to finish. We had a quick trip to Arizona and needed someone to watch our dog, Koa, and he made the whole process stress-free. He kept us updated, sent plenty of pictures, and checked in multiple times so we always knew Koa was doing great. We’ll definitely be reaching out to David again next time we’re back in Arizona. Highly recommend!”

“Christina was absolutely amazing with our crazy girl! Cinna is a golden retriever with lots of energy and absolutely loved hanging out with her and her pups all day. Christina was so sweet and friendly which made the process so comfortable as if you were dropping your pet off at your best friends. Cinna is already telling me she can’t wait to go back!”

“Super great place for Sami to hang out. Feel he’s well cared for as temps raise. Just “chillin” with other dogs. Nadia is great with communication and flexibility.”

“Chelsea was FANTASTIC with Moose! I needed someone to watch him a few hours last minute and not only did she come through, he was POOPED afterwards! I will absolutely use her again!”

“Loren has an incredible home set up perfectly for dogs of all shapes and sizes. She spent time listening to the needs I have for Betty White. I’m excited to use her again!”

“Definitely would recommend!!! My Daisy is very attached to me and has never been in someone else's care. The 2nd day when she got out of car she ran up to the door and couldn’t wait to dart in not even looking back at me. I got several updates & photos throughout the day. Will be booking with Christian & Hana again!”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life, and caring for them truly comes naturally to me. I had a 106 lb German Shepherd for 8 years, and during that time I received professional training so I could properly train and care for her, giving me a strong foundation in structure, behavior, and handling larger breeds. Most recently, I lived in a home with four pets (both cats and dogs), where I helped manage daily care, routines, and lots of love and attention. I’ve also fostered animals, which has taught me patience, adaptability, and how to help pets feel safe and comfortable in new environments. What sets me apart is my ability to balance structure with affection—I’m attentive, intuitive to each pet’s needs, and experienced with different personalities, from playful and energetic to calm or senior pets who need a gentler approach. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or simply providing a calm, loving presence, I treat every pet like they’re my own. I work from home part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to provide attentive, consistent care. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine—whether that’s walks, playtime, feedings, or cuddle sessions. I bring a calm, “pet concierge” approach to every visit, keeping routines smooth, spaces clean, and pets happy. From energetic dogs who love activity to cats who prefer a more relaxed, on-their-terms vibe, I tailor my care to each pet’s personality—making sure they feel safe, loved, and just a little bit spoiled. Safety and trust are always my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I create a calm, clean, and secure environment where they can feel comfortable and at ease. In a client’s home, I’m very respectful of your space and your pet’s routine—keeping feeding schedules, walks, litter care, and any specific instructions consistent. I pay close attention to details, from securely locking doors to ensuring pets are always supervised and safe. In my home, pets are welcomed into a peaceful, pet-friendly environment with plenty of attention, playtime, and cozy spots to relax. I’m mindful of introductions, boundaries, and maintaining a stress-free atmosphere for every pet. I take a thoughtful, attentive approach—reading each pet’s behavior, keeping a watchful eye, and providing updates so you feel confident and connected while you’re away. My goal is for you to feel complete peace of mind, knowing your pet is safe, loved, and in very good hands.
