About: I have 5+ years of pet care experience caring for dogs with different personalities, sizes, and energy levels. I genuinely love being around animals and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m very patient, attentive, and dependable, and I always try to pay attention to each dog’s individual needs and behavior. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or just having someone calm and comforting around, I’ll make sure they get lots of care, attention, and love while you’re away. I have full availability Friday–Sunday, and I’m also available during the weekdays between my summer classes, especially mornings and early afternoons from 6am–1pm Monday–Thursday. I’m pretty flexible as well and will always do my best to work with schedules that are convenient for both of us. I always prioritize a dog’s safety, comfort, and trust during walks. I pay close attention to their behavior, energy level, and surroundings to help keep them safe and comfortable at all times. I’ll follow any instructions you provide, including leash preferences, walking routes, feeding or water needs, and any special care your dog may need. I also make sure dogs get plenty of attention, patience, and positive interaction during our time together.
About: Hi, I’m Hilary! I am a healthcare worker and animal lover who will make sure your pet isn’t missing out on any fun or cuddles while you’re away. My goal is to put your mind at ease with a dependable, consistent schedule and frequent updates. A little about me - I’ve lived with pets my whole life and I’m currently a proud mom to two rescue kittens. I feel comfortable working with cats and small to medium/large dogs of all ages, with a variety of medical conditions. My experience ranges from caring for kittens and puppies to senior cats and dogs, including pets with special diets and disabilities. I am open to any breed of dog and have especially extensive experience with chihuahuas and golden retrievers. I am available for walks, hikes, play time, overnight stays at your house, or quick check-ins. I’d love to get to know you and your pet, so feel free to message me with any questions! My house sitting rates include walks and cover up to 16 hours of care. Constant care of up to 24 hours is charged at an additional 50% of the nightly rate. Starting July 1st, my availability will be limited to weekends, and overnights only during the week as I will no longer be able to drop ins and walks between 8AM and 6PM Monday through Friday. I will review your safety concerns and protocols prior to any assignment, including any doors, stairs, and gates in your house, any use of crate, and any harness or leash used for outdoor activities.

“Julia watched our beloved cat Piper while we were on vacation for a week and she was absolutely wonderful! Piper was so happy when we got home and there was no mess. Such an awesome experience! We will definitely book her again.”

“Kaleigh was great! My first time working with Rover, but she made my vacation less stressful because after a couple days I had no concerns. She was responsive and communicated very well. She helped with any special requests which definitely made me feel better about leaving for a trip. I would definitely recommend her and would work with her again!”

“Jordan was great with our dog and really helped us out while traveling for work. Would recommend Jordan to anyone and we look forward to having him over again!”

About: I have grown up with pets of all shapes and sizes all my life. I helped raise a few puppies myself as well. I'm usually all my friends go to person to house sit and take care of their dogs. I'm the type of person who will keep your dog active, including taking them for walks, a fun run at the local dog park, a quick car ride for the occasional Puppuccino (if their diet allows for it), as well as to the local dog friendly brunch spot! I do work from home and have a super flexible schedule which makes it super easy to care for your pet. I have a sweet terrier mix of my own so I used to being around pets and understand what it takes to be a great pup parent! I have a dog of my own so I understand first hand the importance of pet care! I also walk my dog daily and understand the importance of keeping an active pet! I am with pets most of the day during the week since I work from home. I am very active with my dog as well as others so it's important to maintain an environment that is comfortable, safe, and present. I am happy to attend to any needs of all pets.

About: I’ve grown up with both dogs and cats and have cared for many neighbors, friends, and family’s pets since I was young. I have experience bottle feeding kittens, administering medication to pets, and am more than happy to walk, play and cuddle with all furry friends. I’m passionate about animals and I know how much I worry about my cat when I’m away so I want to make sure you feel safe and comfortable leaving your beloved pets in my care. I work full time but am able to step away from the office as needed on weekdays. I work remotely on Fridays and am flexible on weekends and evenings. I am happy to accommodate the schedule and needs of your pet in your home, just let me know the routine and we’ll make it happen, whether that’s timed feedings, specific dietary/medication needs, or time intervals to take them out for walks or potty breaks. I’m always very cautious of respecting what you and your pet needs and will communicate regularly to make sure you know how they’re doing and if anything comes up!
“Anna was very easy to communicate with and did everything I needed her to! My cat is a very shy one but Anna was able to make sure her needs were met while I was out of town.”

“We can’t thank Nicole enough for taking care of our little old man, Desi. He’s a handful at this point in his life, so we truly appreciate the care and patience shown. We highly recommend Nicole to anyone looking for someone to care for their furry family members!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life. From personally owning, family, friends, neighbors, I have taken care (feed, walk, brush, bath, etc) of small dogs from Terriers and Chihuahuas to large dogs like Tibetan Mastiff and Dobermans. I have basic training experience from personally taking my dog to a training class. I work remote so I can spend quality time with your pet. I am an active person so if you’re looking for someone who can walk your pet a couple times a day, short walks, longs walks I can do that. 🙋🏻♀️ my schedule is flexible and pretty open. Preferably having a week a minimum notice would be appreciated but if something last minute does come up I would try my best to make it work. I live in an apartment. I don’t have any other pets. The apt bldg has a fenced area for dogs to do their business and a bathing area. If you have a senior dog and doesn’t require much activity or doesn’t handle stairs well there is an elevator so I can take them there. For younger more active dogs I would walk them outside or can take them to a nearby trail (either at my home or clients).
About: I’m a recent graduate from the U of A saving up for law school in the fall (just accepted) doing something i love ! Experience as daycare staff at a doggy daycare part time in north scottsdale. I have a pretty flexible schedule working from home primarily at the moment. I have taken care of both dogs and cats of all sizes! I’d love to take care of your pets if you give me a chance! I have experience administering oral medication to several clients. i have flexibility at this moment to fulfill the needs of you and your pets as a recent grad and working a more flexible job. I do not offer pet care in my home because I do live in an apartment complex so it would not be ideal at all.
“Gigi was great with our two cats! She was responsive and caring. She helped us feel confident they were getting taken care of while we were away. Highly recommend her!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I wasn't exactly sure if I was going to like it. We've always used friends or doggie day care type things. But after this I will never use anything except for Rover, and more so, Aayla! She was incredible! Very detailed, courteous, kind, and most importantly she was perfectly professional!!! Fantastic communicator and very loving with my two large dogs! When we got home our house was clean and the dogs were happy! I will be recommending Aayla to all of my friends and family who travel and have pet sitters. What a great experience and thank you, Aayla for your care and professionalism!”

Sydney did an incredible job caring for my cat. She took notes and made sure all my instructions were followed and took so many pictures of my baby. She’s also CPR trained which eased some of my concerns with leaving behind an asthmatic cat. Sydney will be my baby Mochi’s caretaker's whenever I’m out of town in the future!
Angela did an amazing job taking care of our two kitties! She excels at communication, keeping us updated on her arrival times and letting us know of any issues immediately. We knew we left our pets in great care with her. She was trustworthy, responsive, and went out of her way to do a meet and greet with the cats and to pick up the keys to our place. Thank you Angela!!!

Julia took amazing care of our two kitties while we were on an extended trip, she would stay with them far longer than I anticipated each day to play. by the end of our trip our extremely anxious and shy kitty had already learned to trust her enough to come out of hiding! Great communication highly recommend-thank you Julia!

Craig was fantastic with my cat! He told me he was normally a dog person, but my cat just fell in love with him, and I feel he truly earned the nickname of “Uncle Craig” :) Craig gave me great reports each day I was gone, and my mind was at ease. Two thumbs/paws up - highly recommend!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Phoenix. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
