About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter For over 20 years, I’ve been the go-to pet sitter for my dear friend’s three dogs. I cared for her two Maltese, Biggie and Moose, throughout their lives, and now I’ve been looking after her Maltipoo, Couscous, since she was just 10 weeks old—she’s now 6. I was the only person she trusted to watch her pups, and I treated them as if they were my own. I always made sure they felt at home in my care—half of their belongings were kept at my house, and they came with me everywhere. As they reached their senior years, I also administered medications with patience and consistency. Being a lifelong animal lover, I understand how important it is to give pets not only reliable care, but also affection, companionship, and comfort. I pride myself on treating every “fur baby” as family, because that’s exactly how I see them. I work from home as a recruiter, which gives me a flexible schedule to provide pet care Monday through Friday, as well as weekends. I’m available for drop-in visits to your home, or I can welcome your fur baby (dog or cat) into my home for boarding while I work from home. I live in a midrise apartment community, with a park across the street and plenty of other areas around the community to walk the pups who enjoy strolls and fresh air. Inside, your pets will be welcomed into a safe and cozy space. I do share my home with a sweet 1 year-old Siamese kitten, but I’m happy to crate pups if needed and can adjust to whatever helps your fur baby feel comfortable. Whether it’s dogs or cats, I’m open to your requests and will do my best to make their stay feel like home.
“Dawn and Andy hosted my Silver Lab, Remi multiple times and I couldn’t be happier leaving him in capable hands. He quickly bonded with the family. Remi loved to splash around in the pool and play fetch. He loves to cuddle. Thank you so much for watching him.”

“Chelsea was absolutely amazing with my dog Cooper! From the moment we met her, I could tell she genuinely loves and cares for animals. She kept me updated, made sure Cooper was comfortable and happy, and treated him like part of her own family. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands while I was away. I truly appreciate Chelsea’s kindness, reliability, and attention to detail. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter. Thank you again, Chelsea, for taking such wonderful care of Cooper!”

“I left my 2 dogs with Andrea over Christmas and will continue to board with her. 1 of my girls is very anxious and is nervous around new people. Andrea made her feel at ease quickly and was patient with her. You can tell she’s an animal person with a kind heart! Thank you for a great stay and for the homemade gifts for the girls!”

“Dutch came home exhausted and so ready to cuddle after all of his fun playtime at daycare!! He was well taken care of, and loved by these two wonderful people as if he were their own. We had a medical emergency, and they were able to extend a few days for us, to help us adjust to being home after having a newborn. We will definitely be bringing Dutch back!”

“Thu was very caring for my pet dog. She made sure to read through all her special provisions for feeding and potty breaks. She sent me pictures and updates of my dog throughout her stay there. Thanks for opening your home to Zoey!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Phoenix
Appreciate Mitchells way of handling the dogs to make sure it’s a positive experience for everyone. Received daily updates about how she was doing and adapting. Was flexible as our trip ended a day early. He has a way to make sure all dogs get what they need while they are staying with him.

Monica took great care of my puppy during his one-night stay. He got plenty of playtime, and I really appreciated how accommodating she was, especially since he’s such a Velcro dog and loves being close to people. She kept me updated throughout his stay, and I felt completely at ease knowing he was in good hands. If we’re ever back in the area, we’ll definitely book with Monica again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter!

Honestly the best person I could ever ask for to dog sit! My dog has so much anxiety when I leave and a sensitive tummy but I never have to worry about him when go out of town, I’ve been going to Kenzie a few times now for my longer trips and she does such an amazing job. Thank you again!

Daily photos, easy and prompt communication, and the dogs came home very happy. I took an Uber pet from the airport and needed the stop to be quick when picking them up, they were waiting outside with the dogs leashed up and ready to go. Would rover with them again.

Great experience working with Evelyn. She responded quickly and was very flexible in working within our shifting scheduling requests. We are new to the area and a little concerned how our Nala would respond to yet another change but Evelyn and her cat were able to quickly make her feel right at home and had her playing in no time. Wouldn't hesitate schedule with her again in the future!

Lorin and her children are very easy going, nice, and responsible people. I like how everyone in the family is involved in taking care of the pets. My dog seemed immediately comfortable, both during the meet and greet at a nearby park, as well as when I dropped her off at their home. I could tell she had a good stay with them through the photos and updates, as well as being very calm and relaxed when I picked her up. Thank you Lorin and family!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
