Hello, I am Ash and South+Paw is our beloved in-home business where meet and bond with many furry friends! We are located about 15-25 minutes from Sky Harbor, 10 minutes from the I-10, and 2 minutes from the I-17. We have cared for family pets for over 30 years, and we dog-sit for friends. We understand how stressful it can be for both us and our animals to be separated, and we will do our best to make you and your pet feel at ease. We currently have one medium size dog (Honey) that has been friendly with all guests and a tiny elderly dog (Dusty) who is as passive as they come. They are used to house guests and Honey enjoys new playmates. We have a large fenced-in yard for your pup to run around in. No pets will be left in unfavorable weather conditions, and during warm weather we will visit the park/take walks early or later to avoid paw-burns. We place airtags on all pets during walks just in case of a snapped leash or faulty collar. You will receive photos and updates throughout their stay, and inquiries from pet-parents are always welcome. The rates for the care of dog’s requiring significant extra care measures will be determined on a case by case basis. This does not include basics such as daily medicine in a pill-pocket or probiotic powder on food, as these will be considered standard. Our guests will need to be up to date for all vaccines (photos can be sent to show they are current up to one day before they arrive or the booking may be cancelled). We are happy to have a virtual meet & greet for requests sent within one week of arrival, or in person in our front yard/Encanto Park for those booked further in advance. We do not bring outsiders inside with the other guest-dogs for insurance/safety purposes. We look forward to meeting you and your furry friend! Questions are welcome 🙏🏼

This is my 3rd time booking with them and they are always SO WONDERFUL to my dog. they send me updates every single day and the last time even sent him home with a toy because it was his favorite! my dog is always so happy when we pull up to there place and sleeps for DAYS after with how hard he plays. they are the best!
Always a wonderful experience leaving my babies with Ash. I get updates and cute pictures daily. I already have 2 more dates this year pre-booked because the dogs love going over.
They took such wonderful care of Bailey, and gave me updates each day. Would rebook with them again! :)
Ash & Michelle did a wonderful job watching my boy Santos! We got lots of updates and pics/vids everyday and he was worn out when we picked him up from all the fun! What more can you ask for :)

Schedule
When we have dog-guests they are not left alone longer than it takes to transport my child to school or for a grocery trip, etc. We take 1-2 trips to the park weekly for shaded walks and avoid hot pavement. The pups are mostly free to roam inside and get plenty of outside play time too.

Safety, trust & environment
My yard is large and perfect for an active pet. If there are character challenges among the guests, we can easily split the indoor territory and alternate outdoor time. I use AirTags on walks just in case a leash snaps or a collar is faulty. The floors in the home are vacuumed and sanitized with REScue Disinfectant Cleaner throughout the week and for spot treatments. The sofa covers are machined washed weekly or as needed. No dogs will be exposed to the yard directly after pest control, and the yard foliage is maintained as needed. We use washable guest beds that are laundered before each new guests uses them.
Pets
A typical day
We walk, play fetch, and encourage zoomies. We also relax, cuddle, and allow for lazy-day naps. If your doggo has a favorite activity or is not able to partake in more traditional pup activities, we will adapt.
