“We loved Angela! It was our first time using someone from Rover to do boarding at our home, and she was amazing! We have two dogs with one being slightly special needs, and Angela got him to warm up which is no easy feat. Between giving him his meds, and making sure the dogs got lots of exercise; the boys were in great hands and we will absolutely be asking Angela to dog sit for us in the future!”

“Gigi is wonderful! This is the 2nd time she has dog sat for me. My older, high maintenance dogs love her! When our trip home ran late she volunteered to come back to give them their dinner and evening meds. I’ll definitely keep using her to pet sit.”

“Meghan took great care of my rescue dog, Mysty while I was away for 5 days. Mysty was chill, well rested and delighted to see me when I got home - but not at all anxious or stressed out. Mehan is so loving and attentive, sending pics of my pup while I was gone. She also took great care of my home while she stayed and made use of the dog puzzles. Will be looking to her for future Mysty-sitting!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have extensive experience caring for both my own pets and other people’s. I’ve cared for dogs ranging from less than a year old to over 16 years old, including during extended stays. I’m comfortable around dogs and tend to build a strong bond with them naturally. What can you expect when you book with me? 1. I will follow your instructions to the letter. 2. I will provide regular updates on your dog. 3. I will maintain clear and consistent communication with you. What do I need from you to provide the best care? 1. Complete and honest information about your dog. 2. Clear instructions regarding their care and routine. 3. Trust and open communication. I’m currently studying at university from Monday to Thursday and working on personal projects during the rest of my time, so I have a flexible schedule. I’m not really into partying, so I’m usually available on weekends. I’m committed to giving your dog the time and attention they need to feel comfortable and build trust with me. I enjoy spending time with dogs and will make sure they receive plenty of exercise, playtime, and companionship throughout my stay. I’m also comfortable with active dogs and don’t mind getting a little messy when necessary. I take pet care seriously and always put myself in the owner’s position. I care for every dog with the same patience, attention, and responsibility that I would expect someone to give my own dogs.
“Brianna, Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Zoë while I was out of town for four days last week. I so appreciate your focus on safety with our gate and landscaping service. It was very clear that Zoë had the very best and loving care all week. You are so appreciated and I look forward to having you care for Zoë again soon. Best, Marci”

“Hilary took wonderful care of my dog, Gracie, while I was away. Although there were a few scheduling challenges due to her unexpectedly starting a new job, she was upfront about everything, communicated well throughout, and took full accountability. I really appreciated her honesty and willingness to work through the situation. Most importantly, Gracie absolutely adored her. It was obvious she received so much love, attention, and excellent care. Hilary followed all of my instructions carefully, kept me updated, and made sure Gracie was comfortable and happy. Knowing my pup was in such caring hands gave me real peace of mind. I would definitely recommend Hilary to anyone looking for a kind, responsible, and trustworthy pet sitter.”

“Aayla is actually my dream pet sitter. She was the perfect level of communicative, she kept me in the loop about anything she felt I should know about, and was so respectful and responsible towards my home on top of being super sweet and responsible with my pets. I was gone for stressful family wedding weekend and Aayla made sure I did not have to worry about my pets for even a second while I was busy with that. Highly recommend hiring Aayla as your pet sitter!!”

“Mark is an incredible sitter. Always makes sure Harry feels comfortable while we’re away (and makes us comfortable with constant updates). House was in perfect condition upon our arrival home.”

“Vincent did an amazing job taking care of Beni and Leni while staying at my house. He kept me updated throughout my trip and sent lots of pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind. From all the updates, it was clear they were having so much fun and getting plenty of love and attention. I really appreciate how well he took care of my dogs and my home. I would absolutely have Vincent watch them again and highly recommend him!”

“Jessica is THE BEST!! She was so thorough in learning my pup's routine and little quirks, and he warmed up to her right away. She was great with giving me updates and pics while I was gone, and it's the best feeling knowing he's safe and having a good time while I'm away!”

I would highly recommend Christina to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and attentive dog sitter. We’ll definitely be booking her again!”

“Patrick was absolutely fantastic with my two pups! One of them—a cautious and protective boxer—is not easy with strangers, but Patrick went above and beyond by spending hours with him beforehand to build trust. It was clear from their interactions that Patrick is experienced and knowledgeable when it comes to dog behaviors. I felt completely at ease leaving my fur babies in his care. On top of that, the house was spotless when I returned! Thank you so much, Patrick—you’re a true gem!”

“Leaving my 2 senior dogs with Rosa was seamless! She took such good care of them and administered all their meds throughout the day. I came back to a n8ce clean house. Will definitely book again with her.”

“Sherry was amazing. She took such good care of our girls. We have a laid back 10 year old and a rambunctious 1 year old. Sherry handled the two of them with such good care. The house was well taken care of too. It was a long time to be away but Sherry sent daily updates with numerous pictures so we knew what was happening at home while we were away. We would highly recommend Sherry to do house sitting. Simply amazing!!”

“Absolutely stellar pet sitter. I booked with William last minute since I had to leave town and my other sitter had fallen through, and he did such an amazing job with Fonzy. Consistent updates and photos, asked questions, and my place looked great when I returned. Highly recommend for others!”

“Finn was awesome! We have two very rambunctious kittens, and they both love him and were so relaxed when we got home. He made sure to keep us posted the entire sitting and sent through cute pictures daily so we never had to worry. We will definitely be using him again.”

Sydney is a heaven sent- truly. I recently hired Sydney for a few walks and to dog sit my big rambunctious baby, Benito (80lb pittie) while my husband and I went on vacation. Unfortunately Benito fell ill toward the end of our vacation but we're so glad Sydney was there to care for him. She not only went above and beyond for Benito, she went above and beyond for us too. She took Benito in for a visit to the vet, she administered medication, and she cared for him and made sure he was comfortable in his time of need. She went above and beyond to clean up, disinfect, and make sure our place was in order, all while dealing with a sick pup. She was sure to keep in touch and send updates through out our trip, and more so when Benito started getting sick. Her professionalism, genuine care and passion for pets and care taking is remarkable. We adore Sydney. We hope to use her again in the future and highly recommend her for anyone in need of pet care. Thank you, Sydney!! You're an angel!

Hannah kept us updated the whole trip with pictures on Benny! She was very accommodating; she came over for a meet and greet visit before the stay and then also was able to stay an extra night when our plans changed last minute. She also left the house looking very nice. Would recommend!!

Rhiannon did an amazing job caring for Cherry! She was attentive, played with her, sent lots of updates and was respectful of my home. I was able to fully relax knowing Cherry was being well taken care of by Rhiannon. I would highly recommend Rhiannon for dog sitting!

Tameka is wonderful, she stayed in great communication with us and kept us informed of how our dogs were doing. Eleanor was sick and required a new medication while we were gone. Tameka was able to effectively administer the medication and continue to let us know Eleanor’s progress. When Eleanor had an accident in the kennel, Tameka meticulously, clean the kennel, cleaned Eleanor and offered her compassion and love. We are so very grateful.

Brianna took such great care of Charlotte this weekend! She was incredibly accommodating by coming to our apartment and even bringing Rolo so Charlotte could spend time with a friend. Communication was quick and easy throughout the stay, and she left everything clean and tidy. Most importantly, I know she gave my baby girl Charlotte lots of love and attention. I felt completely at ease knowing Charlotte was in such caring hands. I would absolutely book with Brianna again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and loving pet sitter!

Rachel is the most caring and attentive petsitter. We always come back to happy, well cared for pups and an immaculate home. During her stay she is always super communicative and provides photos. Rachel is the best and we always use her for our pet sitting needs!

Thank you Harrison for the great job you did taking care of our pups for 18 full days and nights. You even helped with keeping the pool maintained after a storm that would have caused havoc if not addressed. You kept us always updated and even cleaned the house before we got home. Can't say it enough. Thank you.

Mark was amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better companion for Maisie! He took excellent care of her, and was extremely communicative, sending us sweet photos daily and giving us detailed information of her meals, walks, etc. He went above and beyond, helping with household chores as well. What a gem! We would hire him again in a heartbeat!
Ynez was absolutely wonderful, and we couldn’t have asked for a better house and dog sitter. She stayed in our home for eight nights, took excellent care of our dog, made sure he received his daily medication, and gave us complete peace of mind knowing he was in great hands. She sent us daily updates with photos, which we really appreciated. She also went above and beyond by watering our potted plants every day and taking care of our home while we were away. When our travel plans changed at the last minute, Ynez was incredibly flexible and agreed to stay an additional two nights, which we really appreciated. She was reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring throughout the entire stay. Overall, it was an outstanding experience, and we would absolutely book Ynez again. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dependable pet sitter.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Phoenix on Rover is $49.95 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 5,106 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Phoenix. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Phoenix walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Phoenix maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Phoenix choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Phoenix. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
