“He does a great job. Always sends me pics twice a day, always plays with my pups and they always seem happy when I get home. Would definitely recommend him.”

“AMAZING!! They took such great care of our 2 dogs. They were great with communication and left the house in great condition. They sent me several pictures of our babies while we were away which I personally loved!! We will definitely be using them again in the future.”

“Cassandra was amazing! After a bad experience with another pet sitter several years ago, we were worried about trusting our pets with a stranger. Cassandra made two visits to our house to get to know everyone and really put my mind at ease. We have four dogs and two cats with a long list of needs from different foods to medication, and Cassandra handled all of it so well. She sent pictures and texted almost every day of our trip, and we knew our pets were in the best hands possible. She stayed in our home, and it was spotless when we returned. We will always choose her in the future, and highly recommend you do, too.”

“Michelle was always on-time, completely trustworthy, and my Ziggy was very happy with her. She followed directions to the letter. Also sent me two photos or a video every day.”

“I was so happy with the care Kaela gave my three dogs while I was away. She administered eye drops to my one dog who is admittedly temperamental at times; she provided photos throughout her stay to ensure me that the dogs were alright; the backyard was picked up and water tubs were full; I believe she even cleaned my house! She is an absolutely trustworthy, respectful, and responsible individual. I will definitely call her to dog sit again!”

“Matt was great with my dog and cat. He stayed over 2 nights. Sent pictures and let me know they were good. Very respectful of my house - even stripped the bed and left everything perfect. Thank you!”

“Patrick is always a pleasure to have take care of the pups when I’m away. I know they’re in great hands, and they absolutely love him! He also leaves the house as I left it, which is such an added bonus. Highly recommend!”

“Susan was absolutely amazing! I wish I could rate her 11/10!! She stayed with my dogs as I asked and gave them lots of love and attention. I never worried once while we were on our trip. She sent daily videos and pictures and even helped water my flowers for me. Susan was prompt and had great communication. I can’t wait to use her services some more and so grateful to have found her!!”

“I couldn’t recommend Leslie enough! We had a tremendous amounts of photos and updates of our dog even 10 minutes after we left! When we got back it seemed like no one was around everything was spotless! 100% will be booking again”

“Taylor did an amazing job caring for our dogs and our home while we were on vacation. He communicated with us frequently to let us know how things were going and also to send pictures. Taylor is our preferred house sitter and has been a huge blessing for our family!”

“Audra was the best! I accidentally left her the wrong key for the house when we were out of town, and she was so kind and patient while waiting for a locksmith to arrive and let her into the house. On top of that, she was excellent with our dog Mia who can be nervous with new people but loved Audra. She sent lots of pics and updates which made us feel well informed. We would definitely have her back!”

“We recommend Richelle, she stayed over at our house for a week to watch our dog, Barley. She kept us updated with photos/videos of her and Barley playing. She was respectful of our house, it was tidy when we got back. My husband was “big” on setting alarm system and she did that as well.”

“Callie is the best!! She is such a sweetheart! She also took amazing care of our Brooke! Brooke just loved her & all the attention she got. We got great updates and pics! She also even took the time to clean up some dishes and wiped down a few surfaces. I will definitely use Callie again!!”

“Kalin is amazing! She spent 6 days and 5 nights with our dogs. We received pictures and updates everyday. We have one very anxious boxer and she handled him and our other 2 boxers with ease. Our house was as clean as we left it when we got back. We will absolutely use her services again. We highly recommend her.”

“Sherry truly cares for the doggies and is the reason I could fully enjoy Bruno Mars. She walked a GSD & a mini Aussie together & I told her she didn’t have to. She’s truly appreciated.”

“Jasmine was absolutely amazing with my husky, Johnny, and my kitty, Salem! From the moment she arrived, she was punctual, friendly, and immediately put me at ease. It's clear she genuinely cares about the pets she looks after. Throughout the evening, she kept me updated with thoughtful messages and adorable photos, which meant so much to me. I never had to wonder how Johnny and Salem were doing because Jasmine made sure I was always in the loop. She even took the time to check in the next day, which really showed how much she goes above and beyond. Finding someone you trust with your pets is priceless, and I wouldn't hesitate to book Jasmine again. She treated Johnny and Salem like they were her own, and I can honestly say she's one of the best pet sitters I've ever worked with. Thank you, Jasmine, for taking such wonderful care of my fur babies!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Glendale
Richie was awesome. My girls seemed more energetic coming home than when I left on my trip, so they were clearly having fun. And all I heard from him was how amazing they were being, so just as glad to hear they were on their best behavior. Usually, I have my pups boarded, and this was the first time I opted for keeping them in their home environment and using house sitting, which made me nervous. My house looked exactly as I left it, so clearly a very respectful sitter. Richie was also quick and responsive when I reached out. That definitely puts me plenty at ease for anything in the future Absolutely would use Richie again. Thank you so much for making this a comfortable experience for all of us.

Richelle did a great job with our doggies. They were well taken care of. We had a last minute booking with her and it was a little disorganized on my end but she did very well with it and handled everything professionally. She was communicative and responsive too which made me feel more comfortable.

Corissa is wonderful. Our fur babies love her. She gives them the love and attention they need. She sends us pics of our fur babies daily so we are updated daily. Corissa picks up after the animals and leaves the house clean and tidy. This is our second time using Corissa and we plan on using her again.

I was in a pinch, needing to book a sitter for my dogs due to a short notice trip out of state. Delaney was available and willing to help! She was very patient with my dogs and kept me up to date with the dogs on a regular basis as well as asked questions regarding the dogs when certain matters had risen (all of which I appreciate).

Lyric was absolutely wonderful! Great with communication, was punctual, experienced in handling our breed, sent lots of pictures, had no issues with doing the extra steps we do with feeding them and was overall an absolute pleasure to work with. I could see from the pictures that our dogs were happy and being cared for like we do. I highly recommend Lyric and can't wait to book with her again in the future!

Roxy did a wonderful job. She arrived at her meet and greet very professional and was very thorough with gathering info on how to care for our critters. While we were gone she send pictures several times a day and left the house very clean when she left. We will definitely be using her again!

Kayla H really saved us in a time of need! We had a different sitter booked who canceled on us the night before our trip. In a hassle to find a new sitter we found Kayla and she thankfully was able to do drop in visits on less than a days notice! I can't say enough about her service and how well she took care of our dog while we were gone. In a tumultuous time she took such great care of our dog and house that we were able to enjoy our trip with 0 stress. I highly recommend her and can assure you your dog will be in fantastic care.

Brittney took excellent care of our sweet (and shy) 12 year old pup Mila. She was extremely committed to keeping Mila's routine as consistent as possible, gave just the right amount of updates and photos and was very respectful of our home. Highly recommend her!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Glendale on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of June 2026, there are 4,646 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Glendale. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Glendale walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Glendale maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Glendale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
