“Adrian did a wonderful job house sitting for our two pups. It was our first time ever using a service like Rover, and he was a great representative! Communication was timely and caring. He is very personable and also jumped in immediately to help us when our first sitter had to cancel with a medical emergency even before we had our meet and greet with her. We highly recommend him and plan to use him for future needs.”

“Cassandra is AMAZING! She is communicative and plans ahead. She had the forethought to take our trash to the curb without us asking and verified what time we would be home. She even stayed a little later after we confirmed it was going to be late at night. Best of all - our two boys loved her! This is our first service from her but she earned a repeat customer for life.”

“We 100% recommend you use Jeannette and Morgan. Our dogs love them and our house is always well taken care of while we are gone. I cannot thank them enough. They love our dogs like their own.”

“Makena was awesome. My pups were well taken care of and my home was left better than she found it! She looked after my pups during a long road trip and made sure to give updates throughout so that I had one less thing to worry about. I would definitely recommend her if you are looking for someone to care for your pets and/or home.”

“Corissa was awesome with are very needed, active, border collie mix and cat. She sent time with them both and gave them extra belly rubs and loves. She left the house clean and tidy. I highly recommend her and we plan on using her again.”

“Our dogs can be a handful and Taylor managed them excellently! He was super responsive to messages and kept us informed with regular texts and photos. Having Taylor stay at our home allowed us peace of mind while we were away. Will definitely be requesting his services in the future!”

“We think she is amazing!!! Huge thank you to Sue for taking such wonderful care of our two fur babies, all the sweet updates and massive smiles in each picture! She wore them out every day with play time, spoiled them and left our house spotless! Followed our established routines seamlessly, and we returned to two very happy, content and relaxed pups! We will definitely be booking her again for our next pup staycation while we are out of town!”

“Audra was the best! I accidentally left her the wrong key for the house when we were out of town, and she was so kind and patient while waiting for a locksmith to arrive and let her into the house. On top of that, she was excellent with our dog Mia who can be nervous with new people but loved Audra. She sent lots of pics and updates which made us feel well informed. We would definitely have her back!”

“Eddie adores Daela. I came home to find them cuddled up together. I knew as soon as I met her that I had found the right sitter. I never had a moment of worry about Eddie when I was on vacation. I will definitely use her again.”

“This was my first time using Rover. Carmine gave me piece of mind when I needed her to house/pet sit. I was very comfortable knowing my pets were safe with her. She sent pictures and updates, which I appreciated. My few days with my family were better knowing my pets were well taken care of in the comfort of their home instead of boarding them in an unfamiliar environment. My shepherd is very nervous to leave the house. By having Carmine, he was able to stay home and have less anxiety. I cannot thank Carmine enough!”

“I would absolutely use Leslie again to sit with my dogs. They have severe separation anxiety and she stayed with them overnight and was able to work from home at my house during the day. She completely changed up her schedule to accommodate and I couldn't be more thankful.”

“Kalin is the BEST sitter when it comes to my babies. She always is checking in, sending pictures, and giving them good care. I would 100000000% book with her again and she will ALWAYS be my go to sitter!!!!!! Thank you for everything you do Kalin!!”

“Rose was wonderful! She is punctual, communicative, and respectful. She took great care of our fur babies and house. She played with them and gave them lots of love. We even received a full pet report. We will definitely be using her services again.”

“Callie did a wonderful job watching our dog. She was great at communicating with us and worked to make sure we were comfortable with everything while out of town. She took great care of our dog and left our home in great shape! We are so happy to have connected with her and look forward to having her help us again in the future. Thanks Callie!!”

“Richelle was a great communicator and took wonderful care of Payson during the 4th of July weekend. She sent so many updates and asked questions to make sure he felt at home. She also helped tidy our home which we’d weren’t expecting and which was such a weight lifted when we got back!”

Adrian was beyond exceptional. Not only did he care for Sitka in the way we truly hoped for, but he took care of our entire home while we were out of the country and sent us updates and photos daily. The communication was excellent and Adrian has a very easy going and pleasant manner which enhanced our collaboration. We have a very large dog who needs a good deal of exercise and attention and we knew as soon as we got home that he was well attended to and loved on. THANK YOU ADRIAN for all of your care and thoughtfulness.

Richelle was a great communicator and took wonderful care of Payson during the 4th of July weekend. She sent so many updates and asked questions to make sure he felt at home. She also helped tidy our home which we’d weren’t expecting and which was such a weight lifted when we got back!

Very grateful I found carmine on rover! She did an amazing job 2 weeks ago while staying at my place and watching my animals. Great communications the whole stay, followed instructions, and left my house clean. Highly recommend and will be asking her to stay again!
Richie was awesome. My girls seemed more energetic coming home than when I left on my trip, so they were clearly having fun. And all I heard from him was how amazing they were being, so just as glad to hear they were on their best behavior. Usually, I have my pups boarded, and this was the first time I opted for keeping them in their home environment and using house sitting, which made me nervous. My house looked exactly as I left it, so clearly a very respectful sitter. Richie was also quick and responsive when I reached out. That definitely puts me plenty at ease for anything in the future Absolutely would use Richie again. Thank you so much for making this a comfortable experience for all of us.

Corissa is wonderful. Our fur babies love her. She gives them the love and attention they need. She sends us pics of our fur babies daily so we are updated daily. Corissa picks up after the animals and leaves the house clean and tidy. This is our second time using Corissa and we plan on using her again.

I was in a pinch, needing to book a sitter for my dogs due to a short notice trip out of state. Delaney was available and willing to help! She was very patient with my dogs and kept me up to date with the dogs on a regular basis as well as asked questions regarding the dogs when certain matters had risen (all of which I appreciate).

Lyric was absolutely wonderful! Great with communication, was punctual, experienced in handling our breed, sent lots of pictures, had no issues with doing the extra steps we do with feeding them and was overall an absolute pleasure to work with. I could see from the pictures that our dogs were happy and being cared for like we do. I highly recommend Lyric and can't wait to book with her again in the future!

Roxy did a wonderful job. She arrived at her meet and greet very professional and was very thorough with gathering info on how to care for our critters. While we were gone she send pictures several times a day and left the house very clean when she left. We will definitely be using her again!

Kayla H really saved us in a time of need! We had a different sitter booked who canceled on us the night before our trip. In a hassle to find a new sitter we found Kayla and she thankfully was able to do drop in visits on less than a days notice! I can't say enough about her service and how well she took care of our dog while we were gone. In a tumultuous time she took such great care of our dog and house that we were able to enjoy our trip with 0 stress. I highly recommend her and can assure you your dog will be in fantastic care.

Brittney took excellent care of our sweet (and shy) 12 year old pup Mila. She was extremely committed to keeping Mila's routine as consistent as possible, gave just the right amount of updates and photos and was very respectful of our home. Highly recommend her!

FAQs for House Sitting - Glendale
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Glendale on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 4,671 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Glendale. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Glendale walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Glendale maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Glendale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Glendale. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
