“Samantha was great. She took wonderful care of my babies, stayed in touch daily and sent pics. I appreciate being able to be away knowing they were in great hands.”

“Marie was so great to work with! She was house sitting my dog and 2 cats for the weekend and I was trying to find someone that could give my babies lots of human time and attention based on a previous bad experience, and Marie surpassed my expectations! She sent lots of pictures and updates throughout and followed all instructions. My cats eat wet food 3 times a day with toppings and she sent me what she made every meal. She even helped clean up some of the litter that tracked on the floors. I felt like they were in the greatest hands and got amazing care and so I was able to enjoy my trip! Can’t wait to book Marie again!”

“Olivia was amazing and our 13-year old golden retriever loved her. She was outstandingly responsive and very thorough. We will for sure request her again in the future and would recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, responsible and trustworthy pet sitter.”

“Mariia, was an excellent dog sitter at my house while I was gone for a week. She is very energetic and enthusiastic. She communicates daily and provides good picutures and updates about how things are going. I will definitely use Mariia again as I have total trust in her with my dog and house.”

“Marianne did a fabulous job with our babies! It was our first time with a sitter, and she had great communication with us. She sent many photos and updates which made us feel comfortable about leaving them behind. Our dog and cat loved her!”

“Absolutely stellar pet sitter. I booked with William last minute since I had to leave town and my other sitter had fallen through, and he did such an amazing job with Fonzy. Consistent updates and photos, asked questions, and my place looked great when I returned. Highly recommend for others!”

About: I have been caring for dogs for many years since I was a teenager. Since being part of a village means being a villager I am constantly helping care for animals of friends and family. I have a dog of my own whom I love and am always looking to interact with more. I am gentle, patient, reliable, and take caring for others pets very seriously. I work full time Monday through Friday until 5:30. I am available in the evenings on weekdays and fully available Friday through Sunday. I am very flexible. I can accommodate any dog’s needs easily. This can be as basic as feeding, walking, crating or more complex such as administering medication or bathing dependent on the instructions of the owners. I would care for the pets in the client’s home as my current residence does not allow pets.
“Rachel was amazing and I will use her again. My dog isn’t easy. Steele was well taken care of and she even spent time with my 84 year old neighbor because Steele likes to visit her. Rachel is kind, attentive and absolutely a dream to have found.”

“If I could give Sonja 10 stars I would. We seriously had the best experience leaving her to care for our pug Lenny. She sent so many cute photo updates all weekend and took her on multiple walks a day. She even let Lenny sleep in the bed with her at night. We will 100% be using her again in the future. I trust her whole heartedly and would recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable sitter in the area.”

“Our dogs LOVE Stella. I noticed when she walked in that they weren't even sad I was leaving. She does a wonderful job giving them lots of attention. She takes them on a daily walks and sends tons of pics and updates along the way. If you want someone your dogs will truly love and make you not worry while you're away- I would highly recommend Stella.”
“Stephanie was wonderful! Barnaby and Bodhe loved her and seemed to have had a very good time while she was taking care of them. She was great at communicating and sending pictures and I will definitely use her again.”

“Sarah took wonderful care of my Italian Greyhound, Zefí, while I was away for four days, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It was obvious that Zefí was genuinely loved and spoiled with attention—she even got trips to the park for walks and came home happy, relaxed, and content. Knowing she could stay in her own home while being cared for so thoughtfully gave me complete peace of mind. On top of that, I came home to an absolutely immaculate house, which was such a thoughtful touch. Sarah is kind, dependable, and clearly loves the pets she cares for. I would recommend her without hesitation and will absolutely be booking her again.”

“Anna did an amazing job taking care of my babies. She also helped with training Holly on the use of the doggie door. The house was left neatl and clean. I will use her again in the future.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Scottsdale
We had a wonderful experience with Will! From the start, communication was prompt, friendly, and reassuring, and it was clear the boys were in caring, capable hands. We rarely travel together so, initially, the boys had a tough time adjusting and even struggled with simple routines like going potty outside. Will was incredibly patient and kept us updated with regular videos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We came home to happy, relaxed, and well cared for pups. We truly appreciate Will’s kindness, patience, and professionalism, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again. Highly recommend!

Thank you so much for watching everybody! I have several animals with a lot going on! Olivia watched my three pets while we were on vacation, a 120lb intimidating looking cane corso, a geriatric, not always so friendly, hyperthyroid cat on medicine and a bearded dragon who eats bugs for breakfast and dinner! Olivia did AMAZING! My pets had such a wonderful time they looked disappointed to see me back from vacation LOL! We will definitely use you again! Thanks again!

Giselle dog sat my 8 year old French bulldog over the July 4th weekend. She took great care of Eddie evident by Eddie's calm demeanor when I got home. She took photos and provided updates. She changed his pee pads, took out the trash and just left my place the way she found it with care to keeps things tidy. I plan to book with her again the rest of the year.
Melissa was great! She answered my request right away. She came over to meet Penny soon after we spoke. I'm convinced Penny adopted her as family right away. Melissa sent daily pictures of morning and evening walks, made sure Penny was eating and pottying properly, and gave her lots of cuddles. I would definitely recommend Melissa to care for your fur baby in your absence.
Tinsel was awesome. We had a vacation coming up kind of last minute and she took care of our 7 dogs including 3 new puppies. She was awesome, on time, communicative, sent us a lot of photos, even helped with an issue that came up. She is also super sweet and trustworthy in addition to a great care taker for our pups. Couldn’t ask for more.

Once again, Stella has exceeded my expectations in caring for my sweet pup and my home. I was out of the country in an extended stay and Stella’s updates and photos were so reassuring. She is such an incredibly warm and intuitive person, I have full trust in leaving my most cherished little girl with her.

Shawna was amazing! This was our first time leaving our dog with someone who wasn't a family member, so we were hesitant at first. From the initial meeting, we knew Shawna was going to be a great fit. During the stay, Shawna sent us tons of pictures and provided us with tons of updates. We were out of the country for 12 days and never felt once we had to worry about our boy. She took great care of him and our house. He loved being with her and we could tell he felt comfortable with her. We would highly recommend Shawna to anyone and will definitely be using her again for any future trips we take!! Thanks again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Scottsdale on Rover is $50 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 5,037 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Scottsdale. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Scottsdale walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Scottsdale maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Scottsdale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
