âCody did an amazing job taking care of Dakota and made sure she got all of the medication she needed. She seemed happy, healthy, and very well cared for when I got back. He was also great at helping her feel more comfortable and confident around the apartment complex, which I really appreciated. Cody was reliable, attentive, and clearly cares about the pets he works with. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.â

âNancy did an amazing job taking care of my cat Kevin! She provided cute photos and videos, brought him treats, and I could tell he had a great time with her. Thank you!!â

About: Caring for animals is truly a joy for me. I love spending time with pets of all kinds and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I have over 4 years of experience taking care of both dogs and cats. You can trust that your pets will be safe, loved, and well looked after while in my care. I am currently in between jobs, so my schedule is completely open at this time until further notice. I prefer to take care of pets during the weekdays if possible, but weekends are open as well. I have four cats of my own, so I understand firsthand the love and care pets need every day. For that reason, I prefer caring for pets in their own homes, where they feel most comfortable and secure. Whether itâs feeding, walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I make sure to follow your petâs routine and give them the same love and attention I give my own.
âJohn was awesome with our cats! Very thorough with his care and lots of pictures and videos. He was even able to help when our automatic feeder unexpectedly decided to not work while we were gone and greatly put us at ease that our cats were well cared for.â

âTrisha took great care of my cat, Mars. She was flexible when I asked her to make extra visits and skip others. She kept her appointments, sometimes stayed overtime, and made sure he was fed and cared for. I can highly recommend her.â

â10/10 Amazing Sitter!! We had never had a pet sitter before and werenât sure what to expect, but Shelby put us at ease right away. She went above and beyond, sending detailed messages about her visits with our kitty with tons of photos, and even volunteered to come by a few extras days while we were gone to ensure our cat was safe and happy. We felt so relieved that we found such a kind and gentle sitter for our fur baby. We will definitely will be booking Shelby for any and all pet sitting needs in the future. Seriously I cannot recommend her enough!!â

She followed daily routines helping him to feel as normal as possible. I received pictures and updates on his progress at every visit. Iâm so happy we found her and she will definitely be our go to for Riley. Thank you Jessica, you are Amazing!â

âI came back home to a very happy kitty!! I was so nervous to leave Loki for the first time, but Bridget sent me a ton of photos and made me feel at ease throughout my trip. Devinnie is amazing, Finn was a little apprehensive at first when she came in but she was patient with him and he soon got comfortable with her through out the week. She has been a huge help with letting him out for some fresh air while I am at work. I am very thankful for finding her on this site and for all her help with my boy.

Elisa is my catâs primary sitter and is the absolute best. The care, concern, and time she shows my baby girl is incredible and very much appreciated. Elisa is also very detail oriented and responsive, which gives me peace of mind. If youâre looking for a sitter, I highly recommend Elisa. She loves animals and makes caring for them a priority. When Elisa watches my cat, I know she is in good hands.

Trisha was fantastic! We needed a cat sitter on very short notice due to flooding and construction issues in the bedroom of our apartment, and she was a lifesaver. She provided helpful updates, sent tons of cute photos, and took wonderful care of our cats. We recently moved out of range of our old sitter and have officially found our new favorite. Thank you so much Trisha, we canât recommend you enough! đđž

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
