About: Our family dog recently passed away. We aren’t ready to get our own dog but love taking care of other dogs like they are our own. We’ve been caring for dogs of all sizes and ages, giving medication and helping with house training. We also know it’s important to follow owners instructions I’ve taken care of and rescued every type of animal imaginable from lizards and birds to dogs and goats. My pitbull mix recently passed away, while I’m not ready for a new dog, I would love to care for others. I work from home so I have plenty of time to spend with a furry friend. I have a large fenced in back yard, there is a pool fence around the pool. Plenty of sidewalks and things to sniff in the neighborhood.
“Sophia is awesome! I had no worries at all when I left my cat in her care. My cat warmed up to her very quickly and she was very respectful of his boundaries and needs. She played with him everyday and gave him lots of hugs. I will definitely re-book!”

“Devinnie did great with Ruby. She was communicative and sent photo updates. She was able to accommodate changes to our schedule which we very much appreciate!”

“Michelle was amazing and took great care of Zen and Leo while I was away on my business trip. She was very friendly and flexible about times and instructions and was very communicative throughout the whole process. Will definitely be using her again the next time I need to go out of town! 😁”

“Rachel is a great dog sitter and walker! She does a great job taking care of our dog, who has a big personality and a lot of energy. Always punctual and flexible when possible, which is great.”
“Trisha took great care of my cat, Mars. She was flexible when I asked her to make extra visits and skip others. She kept her appointments, sometimes stayed overtime, and made sure he was fed and cared for. I can highly recommend her.”

“After many years, my longtime pet sitter moved away, and I was nervous about finding someone new to trust with my 8-year-old Bengal kitty, who has some health issues. I recently switched to Katie, and she has been awesome! She’s incredibly thorough and has great attention to detail. I can tell she takes his health needs seriously and genuinely cares about doing things right. It’s clear she’s someone I can trust with my cat, and I’m so glad I found her.”

“Returning customer with Bridget! Thank you for the last minute accomodations and taking care of the kitties. Not a worry at all knowing they are in good hands with you 🙂”

“Inbal was super sweet with my cat and very caring. Luna absolutely adored her. She is very communicative and reliable. Would absolutely book again!”

“Cody was absolutely everything we needed for our fur babies while we were out of town. Knowing our babies were safe with Cody and could be taken care of, took so much worry off our minds. Thank you Cody! Would highly recommend Cody again for any pet sitting!”

“Kaylie took great care of our cat, Mark! She sent so many photos and left the sweetest updates about the time they spent together during her drop-ins. We plan on booking her again the next time we go out of town. You can tell she adores animals and she will care for yours as if they were her own. (:”

“Theresa took great care of my two kitties while I was out of town for two weeks! The girls warmed up to her immediately which is saying something as my youngest is usually very sketchy around people she does not know! I got daily pictures and can see them Playing with Theresa which was wonderful! Though I missed them terribly, I did not worry about them under Theresa’s great care! Very Happy !!!”

“Taylor was absolutely phenomenal! She came a week before my booking just to do a meet and greet, she made sure my furbaby was well taken care of and sent several pics. Definitely a 10 out of 10 experience and highly recommended.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Scottsdale
I am so grateful for Claire! I had the wrong address on my profile and without hesitation she drove over to my new address and allowed me to extend the stay. I know it was a pain and she was so kind about it. She cared for my babies so well, sent photos, and went above and beyond! THANK YOU! ❤️ Means more to me than you know.

Trisha was fantastic with Edgar and really put me at ease while I was traveling. She’s warm, responsive, and a great communicator. I loved getting the daily pictures and seeing that Edgar was happy and comfortable. I felt completely confident having her care for him and would definitely book with her again!

John was flexible about when we started and ended, since our travel departure and arrival home was dependant on airline seat availability. He seemed to establish a rapport with our cat. She is a long hair, and needs to be brushed daily, and was well groomed when we arrived home. John also sent multiple photos of our kitty daily, never less than three. I would highly recommend John for your pet!

Nancy always does a spectacular job communicating with me and sending me updates, pictures, and videos of my kitties while I’m away. She’s helped out when I’ve unexpectedly extended my trips and has given me so much peace of mind while I’m away, I couldn’t recommend her more!!

We’ve had a few Rover people over the last couple years but my boy hasn’t bonded to anyone like he has Michelle. She does such a good job of reading him and what he needs each day instead of just going through the motions and checking boxes off a list. I highly recommend!!!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Scottsdale. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
