“Kim was fantastic to communicate with. It gave us a peace of mind knowing she has experience with energetic young dogs. Our pup had a great time with her and she gave us consistent check ins and photos. She was flexible, prompt, kind and warm. We highly recommend working with Kim.”

“Devinnie did great with Ruby. She was communicative and sent photo updates. She was able to accommodate changes to our schedule which we very much appreciate!”

“Cody did an amazing job taking care of Dakota and made sure she got all of the medication she needed. She seemed happy, healthy, and very well cared for when I got back. He was also great at helping her feel more comfortable and confident around the apartment complex, which I really appreciated. Cody was reliable, attentive, and clearly cares about the pets he works with. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.”

“Lauren was great! She sent very detailed notes during her check-ins and made sure to ask me questions during her check-in if something came up. She also brought in a package that had been delivered during one of the scheduled check-ins. Very considerate and caring, 10/10 would recommend! 🤗”

“I came back home to a very happy kitty!! I was so nervous to leave Loki for the first time, but Bridget sent me a ton of photos and made me feel at ease throughout my trip. She spent a lot of time playing with him, brushing him, and chilling at his favorite spot on the balcony. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!💗”

About: I've been a cat owner for as long as I can remember and have cared for cats since I was little. I currently have two cats of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone who will treat your pets with the same love, patience, and attention they receive at home. For the past three years, I've also provided cat care for friends and family, including feeding, cleaning litter boxes, playtime, and making sure each cat feels comfortable and safe while their owners are away. What sets me apart is that I'm truly a cat person. I understand that every cat has a different personality. Some love attention, while others prefer their space, and I take the time to learn their routines and preferences. Whether your cat is playful, shy, young, or a senior, I'll provide personalized care and regular updates so you can have peace of mind knowing they're in good hands. I work from home full-time with a flexible, remote job. This allows me to provide frequent attention to my cats and the cats I am sitting without leaving them alone for extended periods of time. I have a 2-bedroom apartment, so I make sure to keep new cats separate initially and never leave them unattended at first. I allow a slow introduction so they can become familiar with each other. My two cats are extremely loving and friendly with no aggression issues.
“Trisha was perfect! She cleaned up while I was having an emergency and my dog had a fantastic time with her. She was able to fill the request last minute. Best experience ever!”

“Sophia was AMAZING to work with! I could tell my pups had a great time while I was gone and Sophia provided great updates every visit so I was never worried about what they were up to. I look forward to having her watch my dogs again!”

About: Hi, it's nice to meet you! I have been raising dogs from puppyhood for the last 12 years, and I LOVE animals. My friends consider me the "dog whisperer" because I tend to be able to connect with even the most stubborn of dogs. I have raised all different sizes and activity levels including Australian Shepherds (I have one now!), Huskies, Dalmatians, German Shepherds, etc. I work from home and my job is flexible, so it is no problem for me to care for your dog and give them lots of love and attention all throughout the day. I have raised all of these from puppyhood, so I am well versed. We have dogs beds all throughout our house, so there are plenty of comfortable places for them to lay too. I work from home full-time, but my job is very flexible and I have essentially raised from puppyhood and had two dogs my whole career. I take lots of breaks to stretch my legs, and go for lots of walks and am very active. I currently have one miniature Australian Shepherd who is 10 years old and easy to get along with. She mostly keeps to herself and is not particularly social, but is very friendly. She typically sleeps/lives outside of a crate, but she was crate trained and I have crate trained all of my dogs. I recently lost a German Shepherd who loved his crate and slept there in the evenings, but I’ve also babysat/hosted many dogs who don't sleep in crates. I'm open to any situation, so long as they are well-behaved, but I'd ask that if they don't do well when you're away to stick to crates! I have baby gates and an easy layout to our house, so very easy to keep them in the living room and make sure they don't get into anything. My yard is fenced with real grass for them to play on in the back. The home is very peaceful and quiet during the day, so I've tended to find that all the dogs we babysit find it relaxing and nap throughout the day with plenty of breaks for potty and attention.
“Michelle was amazing and took great care of Zen and Leo while I was away on my business trip. She was very friendly and flexible about times and instructions and was very communicative throughout the whole process. Will definitely be using her again the next time I need to go out of town! 😁”

“Heather is awesome! She’s been helping watch my 12 week old puppy and has helped with my cat. She’s reliable, trustworthy and great with animals. ❤️”

About: I've always been the go-to pet sitter for friends and family because I genuinely love animals of all kinds. I grew up caring for our family dogs, helped friends with their puppies in college, and even helped raise a litter of stray kittens that are now my old roommate's spoiled fur babies. I also volunteered at the Arizona Animal Welfare League, where I got to spend even more time caring for animals. Whether they're big or small, shy or energetic, I'll love and care for your pets like they're my own. My schedule is pretty flexible right now, so I'm available for walks, drop-in visits, or overnight stays. I really just enjoy spending time with animals, and I love getting to know each pet's personality. I'll make sure your pets get lots of love and attention while you're away, just like I'd want for my own. I know pets are usually most comfortable in their own home, so I do my best to keep their routine as normal as possible while you're away. Whether that's going for walks, playing, giving lots of cuddles, or just hanging out with them, I want them to feel comfortable and loved. I'll also make sure to stick to their feeding schedule and any other care they need, and I'll always send updates and photos so you know how they're doing.
“We had a great experience with John and would absolutely book with him again. He was incredibly attentive with our cats and clearly took the time to make sure they were comfortable and well cared for while we were away. We really appreciated the thorough daily updates and photos, which gave us peace of mind and let us see how they were doing throughout our trip. It was obvious that he genuinely cared about our pets and paid close attention to their needs. We came home to happy, well-cared-for cats and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, communicative, and caring pet sitter.”

About: I have always had pets in the house from dogs and cats to more exotic animals like bunnies, reptiles and birds. I love getting to know animals most of the time more than new people. I currently work one week on and one week off. When I am not working I have plenty of free time to give your pet loads of attention. I can be flexible and will happily do my best to help maintain a familiar environment and routine for your pet to minimize any potential anxiety.

About: I spent pretty much my whole life with pets. My family got 2 cats when I was 2 and our first dog when I was 8. I started helping my mom take care of them around age 12 and took over primary care for the cats at 14. I have since dog and cat sat for numerous friends, family and coworkers and just love getting to spend time with pets. I am in school and work part time but am fully available on weekends and holidays for any pet sitting needs. I love both cats and dogs and really enjoy getting to play and hang out with them. I am used to being around all sizes of dogs and cats. I would love to set up a meeting prior to get to know the pets and you can show me what you like to do to keep them safe and comfortable.
“Once again I cannot begin to describe the service Nrandon provides. My little 16 yr old Chi is blind and cannot hear and honestly I can say without a doubt there is NO one one else that I feel I could ever trust with her, it's a delicate situation. It is a true blessing to have meant Brandon on this app!”

About: I have had pets in my home since I was able to walk, growing up with at least 2 dogs and a cat in my home for my entire childhood. I pet-sit for friends frequently and I love all breeds and different types of animals! I work part-time and will be able to spend majority of my time at home with your pet! I also make time to go on walks in the early morning and evening. I have a fenced in backyard, open concept home with tile. I am also located on the greenbelt, perfect for walks, in a residential neighborhood right off Indian school park.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Scottsdale
We’ve had a few Rover people over the last couple years but my boy hasn’t bonded to anyone like he has Michelle. She does such a good job of reading him and what he needs each day instead of just going through the motions and checking boxes off a list. I highly recommend!!!

Bridget was amazing! We have a diabetic cat that needed shots twice a day and two others. Bridget was super communicative, had great summaries and took lots of pictures to help us feel better about being away for so long. All of our instructions were followed and the cats were well taken care of. We will definitely be using Bridget's services in the future.

Elisa is my cat’s primary sitter and is the absolute best. The care, concern, and time she shows my baby girl is incredible and very much appreciated. Elisa is also very detail oriented and responsive, which gives me peace of mind. If you’re looking for a sitter, I highly recommend Elisa. She loves animals and makes caring for them a priority. When Elisa watches my cat, I know she is in good hands.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
