“Great communication and loved getting to see photos while we’re gone. Was our first time using Rover and I was a little skeptical but Kristi definitely made us feel that our for babies were in good hands!”

About: I spent pretty much my whole life with pets. My family got 2 cats when I was 2 and our first dog when I was 8. I started helping my mom take care of them around age 12 and took over primary care for the cats at 14. I have since dog and cat sat for numerous friends, family and coworkers and just love getting to spend time with pets. I am in school and work part time but am fully available on weekends and holidays for any pet sitting needs. I love both cats and dogs and really enjoy getting to play and hang out with them. I am used to being around all sizes of dogs and cats. I would love to set up a meeting prior to get to know the pets and you can show me what you like to do to keep them safe and comfortable.
“Avery was great! She was patient with our cat, Wilson , and gave him time and room to get used to someone new in our house. In no time she was sending pictures that showed Wilson was clearly enjoying his time with Avery. Thank you, Avery, for taking such good care of our little buddy!”

“Devinnie is literally the BEST I trust her with my life and obviously with my dog but she is incredibly reliable and my doggie adores her. Wouldn't want anyone else coming by to see my little one!”

“I couldn’t be happier with Heather! We loved the way she communicated, giving us updates on Bennie in every visit. She was very respectful with our home and followed the care instructions to the T. I highly recommend her services and We will be recurring clients for sure 🙌🏼😊”
About: I've owned my dog, Sparrow, for just over 2 years now. Additionally, I spent most of college watching my friends' pets, taking them out on walks/hikes and providing extended care when they were out of town. I work most days from home allowing me to provide constant care and attention. When your pet is with me they will be constantly cared for and attended to. I have a large fenced backyard giving your pet space to roam and explore safely. My dog Sparrow is very friendly and will love to have a friend to spend time with.
“Handled my handful of dogs wonderfully! Sent regular updates and pictures and went above and beyond with offering more for things even as little as going to get a new toy when one of my dogs ripped the stuffing out! Highly recommend!”
“Trisha took great care of my cat, Mars. She was flexible when I asked her to make extra visits and skip others. She kept her appointments, sometimes stayed overtime, and made sure he was fed and cared for. I can highly recommend her.”

“Lauren is super awesome! She is an excellent communicator who keeps good records. She took good care of our fur baby and Miley had great time with her. Definitely recommend Lauren to be your fur baby sitter! Thank you so much!!”

“Returning customer with Bridget! Thank you for the last minute accomodations and taking care of the kitties. Not a worry at all knowing they are in good hands with you 🙂”

“Michelle was amazing and took great care of Zen and Leo while I was away on my business trip. She was very friendly and flexible about times and instructions and was very communicative throughout the whole process. Will definitely be using her again the next time I need to go out of town! 😁”

About: I started dog walking and petsitting in 2022. I'm great at reinforcing recall and working with all kinds of dogs, from independent off-leash to dogs that are prone to separation anxiety. I’m the perfect person to hang out with and cuddle your furry friend while you’re away. I am currently working from home and part time at that so I have plenty of energy to devote to making sure your furry friend is well taken care of. I'm fairly active and get at least 2 walks in a day and enjoy hiking as well. I usually take dogs on walks 2x daily unless otherwise instructed. I am home for most of the day and am typically not gone from the home for more than a couple hours at a time. Love having the pets sleep with me and venture out to hiking spots or day trips if that is something that suits them.
“John was wonderful. He came and met my shy kitty well ahead of the booking. He took excellent care of her and helped her come out of her shell. He communicated well so I knew my baby girl was in good hands. I think she misses her boyfriend now. I'd happily book him again and highly recommend him to any pet parent.”

“This is the first time we have ever had anyone come to our home to look in and take care of our dogs and Teresa made us feel very much at ease to do so!! Our fur babies loved her and it showed when we got back home! Thank you so much!! I would highly recommend Teresa anytime!!!”

“Heather was so great with our lab Cali. Cali is shy with new people and she was very patient with that and very attentive to Cali. She brought us much peace of mind with having her come check on Cali during the day. Definitely would use her again!”

John was flexible about when we started and ended, since our travel departure and arrival home was dependant on airline seat availability. He seemed to establish a rapport with our cat. She is a long hair, and needs to be brushed daily, and was well groomed when we arrived home. John also sent multiple photos of our kitty daily, never less than three. I would highly recommend John for your pet!

Nancy always does a spectacular job communicating with me and sending me updates, pictures, and videos of my kitties while I’m away. She’s helped out when I’ve unexpectedly extended my trips and has given me so much peace of mind while I’m away, I couldn’t recommend her more!!

Michelle was amazing and took great care of Zen and Leo while I was away on my business trip. She was very friendly and flexible about times and instructions and was very communicative throughout the whole process. Will definitely be using her again the next time I need to go out of town! 😁

Elisa is my cat’s primary sitter and is the absolute best. The care, concern, and time she shows my baby girl is incredible and very much appreciated. Elisa is also very detail oriented and responsive, which gives me peace of mind. If you’re looking for a sitter, I highly recommend Elisa. She loves animals and makes caring for them a priority. When Elisa watches my cat, I know she is in good hands.

Trisha was fantastic! We needed a cat sitter on very short notice due to flooding and construction issues in the bedroom of our apartment, and she was a lifesaver. She provided helpful updates, sent tons of cute photos, and took wonderful care of our cats. We recently moved out of range of our old sitter and have officially found our new favorite. Thank you so much Trisha, we can’t recommend you enough! 💞🐾

Cody was great with Jake! Jake was excited to see me when I got home, but then immediately laid down and relaxed, which tells me Cody did a great job exercising his mind and body. Cody was patient, communicative, and clearly made Jake feel comfortable. Jake loved him, and I’ll definitely be booking Cody for drop-ins again. Thank you, Cody! 😊

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Scottsdale. On Rover:

- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
