“Having a pet stay home when you go out of town can be nerve racking. Having someone reliable with great communication can ease these feelings. Having Benjamin check in on our elderly cat with consistent feedback was wonderful. The multiple photos showing him happy during their visits gave peace of mind. We will definitely book Benjamin in the future!! Thank you so much for taking such good care of our furbabby!”

“They where amazing, if your an anxious pet parent like me it can be hard to travel and to find the right sitter. They are really responsive and communicative with everything. I always got pictures and videos, and it made the trip way more relaxing. They followed the directions every-time and asked the best questions. As well as always being on time. Overall I felt good knowing they were taking care of my cat. This sitter is 100% anxiety/OCD approved🫡 I will be using them again in the future for sure.”

“She was absolutely wonderful! Super responsive, sent lots of pictures and updates, and took such great care of my dogs. I never had to worry while I was away, which gave me so much peace of mind. I would absolutely book with her again!”

About: I've owned my dog, Sparrow, for just over 2 years now. Additionally, I spent most of college watching my friends' pets, taking them out on walks/hikes and providing extended care when they were out of town. I work most days from home allowing me to provide constant care and attention. When your pet is with me they will be constantly cared for and attended to. I have a large fenced backyard giving your pet space to roam and explore safely. My dog Sparrow is very friendly and will love to have a friend to spend time with.
About: I feel like I have a special gift with animals. Every Furry Friend is different and when their Parents go away they're all going to have their unique needs to make everything okay. I have a genuine love for animals. I stay 100% of the time at your house. Your home becomes my home base. I won't leave for more than 4 hours. I am retired. I can't think of a better way to spend my time than with animals. An extra bonus is being around unconditional love all the time! My experience with overnight care is your pets do so much.better in their own home. Smells, Toys, all their Stuff. I try to stick as close to their normal routine as possible.
“Rachel is a great dog sitter and walker! She does a great job taking care of our dog, who has a big personality and a lot of energy. Always punctual and flexible when possible, which is great.”
“John was everything we could have asked for. The dogs loved him, he did exactly what we needed and importantly, we had complete peace of mind our dogs were in great hands.”

“Handled my handful of dogs wonderfully! Sent regular updates and pictures and went above and beyond with offering more for things even as little as going to get a new toy when one of my dogs ripped the stuffing out! Highly recommend!”
“Trisha was fantastic with Edgar and really put me at ease while I was traveling. She’s warm, responsive, and a great communicator. I loved getting the daily pictures and seeing that Edgar was happy and comfortable. I felt completely confident having her care for him and would definitely book with her again!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs in my home and have always had a genuine love for animals. Being around dogs throughout my life has given me an appreciation for how much personality each pet has and how important it is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m a responsible, patient, and attentive person who takes the time to get to know each pet and their individual routine. Whether it’s an energetic dog who needs plenty of walks and playtime, a younger pet who needs extra patience and supervision, or a senior pet who prefers a slower pace and extra attention, I’m happy to adapt to their needs. I’m also very active and love getting outside, so I especially enjoy taking dogs on walks and making sure they get plenty of exercise and playtime. I’m happy to follow your instructions closely regarding meals, walks, medications, and any other routines that are important to your pet. Most importantly, I want your pet to feel like they’re in a safe and loving environment while you’re away. I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I would want for my own pets and keep you updated with photos and messages along the way! I work a flexible hybrid schedule, typically spending three days in the office and two days working from home. My work-from-home and in-office days are flexible, which allows me to plan my schedule around the needs and routine of the pet I’m caring for. If your pet prefers company throughout the day, I can prioritize working from home on the days they’ll be with me. On those days, I’m happy to be home with them for most of the day and provide plenty of attention, potty breaks, walks, and playtime. If your pet is comfortable being home alone for periods of time, I’m also happy to step out when needed. I also live close to my office, so even on office days I can come home during the day for a potty break, walk, feeding, or quick check-in. I’m happy to adjust how long your pet is left alone based on their age, energy level, and normal routine. I live by myself in a spacious one-bedroom apartment, which provides a comfortable and calm environment for pets to relax and feel at home. Since I live alone, your pet will have my full attention and won’t have to adjust to a busy household or multiple people coming and going. My apartment complex has a nicely sized dog run, and I’ve had consistently positive experiences with the dogs and pet owners in my community. I also live in a very walkable area, so getting outside for regular walks, potty breaks, and exercise is easy. I enjoy walking on my own as well, so I’m very comfortable getting out with a dog and making walks part of their daily routine. Safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’m attentive to each pet’s personality and needs and will always follow your instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, and any boundaries or routines that help your pet feel secure. I’ll also make sure your pet has a clean, comfortable space to relax while they’re staying with me.

About: I grew up with dogs and have taken care of dogs of family members and friends since my late teens. From August 2024 to February 2025, I supervised a friend's senior dog alone after years of drop-in visits and ensured adequate food and water availability, as well as adherence to feeding schedules. I am currently an online student with a flexible schedule. Preferred availability is evenings and weekends, but I can adapt during the day as well. I can watch pets while completing schoolwork. I adhere to instructions and routines, including ensuring the safety of the environment and pets. I also maintain cleanliness, punctuality, and consistent communication with owners.

Where do I start with Shelby? From stellar communication to being a clear animal lover to going above and beyond, she exceeded expectations! My daily updates were thorough, including so many great pictures and details. Really made me miss my little guy a bit less knowing he was getting tons of love and attention!! Run, don’t walk, to booking Shelby!! I will book with her in the future without hesitation. 13/10 !

Another wonderful booking with Nancy! Our kitty was still healing from an injury and I was worried to leave her but knowing Nancy was taking care of her, I knew she would be great!!! Always thankful for all of Nancy’s updates and everything she does that goes above and beyond for us!

Elisa is my cat’s primary sitter and is the absolute best. The care, concern, and time she shows my baby girl is incredible and very much appreciated. Elisa is also very detail oriented and responsive, which gives me peace of mind. If you’re looking for a sitter, I highly recommend Elisa. She loves animals and makes caring for them a priority. When Elisa watches my cat, I know she is in good hands.

Alexa did a great job with everything I asked and my babies were happy to have her check in daily. My one cat is very friendly and needs attention so for Alexa to come and check on her that means the world to her. She was very responsive and sent daily photos of my cat during each of her check ins which helped ease some of the anxiety a pet owner may face when traveling and leaving them back home. Thank you so much, highly recommend Alexa for future stays.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
