“Kim was fantastic to communicate with. It gave us a peace of mind knowing she has experience with energetic young dogs. Our pup had a great time with her and she gave us consistent check ins and photos. She was flexible, prompt, kind and warm. We highly recommend working with Kim.”

“They where amazing, if your an anxious pet parent like me it can be hard to travel and to find the right sitter. They are really responsive and communicative with everything. I always got pictures and videos, and it made the trip way more relaxing. They followed the directions every-time and asked the best questions. As well as always being on time. Overall I felt good knowing they were taking care of my cat. This sitter is 100% anxiety/OCD approved🫡 I will be using them again in the future for sure.”

“Kristi was so helpful when we needed to fill a gap in our sitter schedule over Thanksgiving and she was great! I could tell she was kind and experienced when she came over for the meet and great, and both kitties took to her immediately. She was communicative about her schedule, sent prompt updates after leaving our place, and overall we felt really good about having her care for our two cats. Thanks for another great Rover experience!”

“Lisa was wonderful! This time she came to let the dogs out and spend some time with them. She always gives great updates and photos. I love to have Lisa help with my pups!”

“Devinnie is amazing, Finn was a little apprehensive at first when she came in but she was patient with him and he soon got comfortable with her through out the week. She has been a huge help with letting him out for some fresh air while I am at work. I am very thankful for finding her on this site and for all her help with my boy.”

About: I feel like I have a special gift with animals. Every Furry Friend is different and when their Parents go away they're all going to have their unique needs to make everything okay. I have a genuine love for animals. I stay 100% of the time at your house. Your home becomes my home base. I won't leave for more than 4 hours. I am retired. I can't think of a better way to spend my time than with animals. An extra bonus is being around unconditional love all the time! My experience with overnight care is your pets do so much.better in their own home. Smells, Toys, all their Stuff. I try to stick as close to their normal routine as possible.
About: I've owned my dog, Sparrow, for just over 2 years now. Additionally, I spent most of college watching my friends' pets, taking them out on walks/hikes and providing extended care when they were out of town. I work most days from home allowing me to provide constant care and attention. When your pet is with me they will be constantly cared for and attended to. I have a large fenced backyard giving your pet space to roam and explore safely. My dog Sparrow is very friendly and will love to have a friend to spend time with.

About: I have a strong background with dogs and farm animals from chickens, goats, horses. I have a dog and cat who are best friends and I require exceptional care for them so I believe in providing the same.
About: I understand firsthand the anxiety that can come with leaving your pets during travel or long work days. That’s actually what motivated me to join Rover — I wanted to provide other pet owners with a safe, reliable, and loving environment for their furry family members. I’ve had dogs in my life since I was four years old and truly can’t imagine life without them. I currently have two dogs and a cat of my own, so caring for animals isn’t just something I do — it’s part of my everyday life. What sets me apart is the level of structure, attentiveness, and genuine care I provide. I’m experienced with larger breeds and high-energy dogs, and I understand the importance of routine, clear boundaries, and consistent communication. Your pets will be treated with the same love, patience, and respect I give my own. I work full-time, but my office is conveniently located right next door to my home. Because of that, pets are never left alone for more than 4–5 hours at a time. My home has a fully enclosed private backyard just for the dogs, and I also incorporate multiple walks throughout the day (weather permitting). I’m up between 5 and 6 a.m., which allows for early morning potty breaks and exercise before the Arizona heat sets in. I’m very mindful of maintaining each dog’s normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I offer pet sitting both in my home and in yours, depending on what works best for you and your pet. I prioritize keeping pets on their normal routine as closely as possible — including feeding schedules, walk times, medication, and any specific house rules you have in place. Consistency helps reduce stress and keeps pets feeling secure while you’re away. If boarding in my home, pets can be crated or allowed to free roam when I step out — whichever you prefer and what they’re most comfortable with. My home has a fully enclosed private backyard, and all outdoor time is supervised. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat your space with respect and maintain a clean, calm environment. You can expect regular updates and communication so you always know how your pet is doing.

Trisha was fantastic with Edgar and really put me at ease while I was traveling. She’s warm, responsive, and a great communicator. I loved getting the daily pictures and seeing that Edgar was happy and comfortable. I felt completely confident having her care for him and would definitely book with her again!

Nancy always does a spectacular job communicating with me and sending me updates, pictures, and videos of my kitties while I’m away. She’s helped out when I’ve unexpectedly extended my trips and has given me so much peace of mind while I’m away, I couldn’t recommend her more!!

Michelle was amazing and took great care of Zen and Leo while I was away on my business trip. She was very friendly and flexible about times and instructions and was very communicative throughout the whole process. Will definitely be using her again the next time I need to go out of town! 😁

Elisa is my cat’s primary sitter and is the absolute best. The care, concern, and time she shows my baby girl is incredible and very much appreciated. Elisa is also very detail oriented and responsive, which gives me peace of mind. If you’re looking for a sitter, I highly recommend Elisa. She loves animals and makes caring for them a priority. When Elisa watches my cat, I know she is in good hands.

Alexa did a great job with everything I asked and my babies were happy to have her check in daily. My one cat is very friendly and needs attention so for Alexa to come and check on her that means the world to her. She was very responsive and sent daily photos of my cat during each of her check ins which helped ease some of the anxiety a pet owner may face when traveling and leaving them back home. Thank you so much, highly recommend Alexa for future stays.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Paradise Valley. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
