“Angel is amazing and so patient with my anxious pups! She keeps me updated throughout the day, including pictures. My puppies warmed up to her so easily and love having her around. Angel truly goes above and beyond to make sure they get the proper care they need! I highly recommend her!”
“Erika is amazing!!’ She came for a meet and greet to get to know my pups and go over the details for potty/play time. She has a very calming and loving presence, and my shy pup Kaia took to her immediately. Erika did everything I asked and sent photo updates of my pups to me. I had peace of mind knowing the girls had time with Erika and she will be my go to for future needs. Dani & Kaia love their new auntie Erika!!!”

“They took pictures at every check in with my dog. They also took him on walks and to the dog park. Fabian and his wife were great and I will definitely be using them in the future!”

“My cat was not angry at me when I arrived home. She was real comfortable with Tonya from the first initial meeting visit. If you have the opportunity to meet Tonya and use her I would.”

“Kennedy was great! She took great care of our cat and communicated so well. Having Kennedy dropping by while we’re away made for much less stress. Will definitely book with her again!”

“Terrific!! So on top of things and our kitties loved her!! She was thorough, prompt, went the extra mile and clearly adores animals. Sooooo lucky to have her as our sitter!!”

“Annabelle did a wonderful job caring for our dogs while we were away, and we would absolutely book with her again. We had her come three times a day so our dogs could stay on their normal routine, and it made such a difference. The last time we traveled, they seemed stressed when we got home. This time they were happy, relaxed, and settled, which gave us so much peace of mind. Annabelle was great at communicating throughout the trip and sent lots of photos and updates, so we always knew how they were doing. She cleaned up after our potty-training puppy without hesitation, took them on a walk on one of the cooler days, and even tried to clean up our little guy’s stubborn tear stains, which was such a thoughtful gesture. It was obvious she genuinely cared about doing a good job, and we always felt comfortable knowing our dogs were in her care. Coming home to two happy pups was the best feeling. Thank you, Annabelle, for taking such good care of them—we truly appreciate everything you did!”

“Hard to find someone that gets both sides of the business...primarily someone with a true compassion for animals/understanding of animal psychology <AND> someone who is reliable and detail oriented. Thomas embodies both! We have a challenging 12 year old dog (who, at first, is leery and around others and needs time to get to know) and he is also very willing and flexible to work with her to form a bond, which gives us incredible reassurance when we are not around. We trust Thomas and quite honestly, after working with others, he may be the very best caretaker we’ve had for our dog ever!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Wild Flower
Couldn't have asked for a better sitter for my cat. Kathryn is great with her communication. Constantly giving updates throughout her visits with photos. Very attentive and loving. My Ziggy warmed up to her quickly! Definitely gave me a peace of mind while I was away

Jordan was great! Callie can be a crybaby (I call her my Screecher Creature). Jordan said Callie whined for awhile and then stopped and lay down next to her. Leia was nervous at first because she didn't know Jordan. Jordan took time to slowly get Leia comfortable with her. She used treats and techniques. All of my pets liked her.

This was our first time leaving our fur babies. We were gone for 3 nights, and were not the least bit worried because Tonya sent us updates after each drop in visit. She even went above and beyond by hauling up our trash bins and bringing our mail into the house. Tonya, you are the best, thank you so much.

Tina was the best! From our cats loving her at the meet and greet to taking such good care of them while we were gone, she went above and beyond. She also had great communications, lots of pictures, and additional play time! Couldn’t be happier with our experience with her! We will definitely use Tina again in the future

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wild Flower. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
