About: I have two goldendoodles named Lacy & Prince. I also have an english springer spaniel / doodle mix rescue, Manny. Lacy is 9 years old, Prince is 5, and Manny is 2. I work for myself so I create my own schedule, so I would love to spend my extra time loving on someone else’s fur babies! I am a sucker for all animals as I grew up on a farm in southern Illinois. At one time we had 13 family dogs, numerous cats, goats, donkeys, horses, you name it- all running around! I was made for this 😌 I am a stay-at-home mom and small business owner, which allows me to create my own schedule and be flexible throughout the day. Because I work from home & control my hours, I am able to provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine since I already care for and spend time with my own dogs every day. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I have three friendly dogs of my own and understand how important it is to leave your pet’s care with someone you trust. I treat every dog as if they were part of my family, providing plenty of love, supervision, playtime, exercise, and cuddles. I pay close attention to each pet’s individual needs and routine, and I am happy to provide photo and video updates anytime.
About: I was in veterinary assistant school from Junior to Senior year of high-school, earning my accredited veterinary assistant certificate. I cared for animals within my schools care and had to follows schedules and administer medication when applicable. I do want to emphasize that assisting is BARE MINIMUM veterinary information so I will not be able to diagnose/prognose any animals. I have pet sit for my sister and my friend while they are away on vacation, providing daily pictures along with that. I'm currently working a part-time job that has too many workers. I'm seeking another job that I know I will be efficient and good at while also enjoying in the mean time. I have plenty of times during my weeks and am willing and able to hangout with your pets for majority of my days :) Due to my short work schedule, I am able to provide care for your animal for majority of the day (depending on which days I work). Thankfully, I am never working a full day at my job so your pet will never be left alone for more than a couple hours during the day.

About: As someone who has lived in a household animated by dogs for most of her life, I have many years of experience caring for them too. Whether your dog is shy or outgoing, active or more leisurely, puppy or adult or elderly - I'm confident I can provide safe, fun and affectionate experience for them while you're away. I'm happy to walk your dog and/or just visit with them at your home. I can bathe your dog, administer medications if needed, and send text/photo updates about my visit with your pet upon request as well. *Because i work full-time and only take Rover bookings on a part-time basis, I'm available during very early am (5-630am) or late afternoon (3-6pm) hours only. My own dog is an indoor dog and very much part of the family. We take special care with his diet and give him the daily walks/exercise he needs - I'll show the same care, concern and affection with your pup too!
“Amasiah was wonderful doing drop-in’s while I was away! All 3 of my fur babies loved him and he took good care of them and even cleaned up overnight accidents! I look forward to booking with him again in the future!”

“Tamara was the best! Our pup loved her from the first second they met. She was prompt and consistent everyday and our Windy was excited to see her and go for a walk. We could not be any happier.”

“Kathy watched our two cats for three days. She sent us pictures of them each day. She was really good with our cats. I highly recommend Kathy as a trustworthy pet sitter at our home.”

“Kimberly and Deanna were fantastic! They took wonderful care of our cat, Greg, playing with him, interacting, and talking to him just like we do. They kept us well updated with photos and videos throughout, which gave us total peace of mind. They truly went above and beyond in providing loving, attentive care for our fur baby. We couldn’t recommend them more highly; thank you both so much!”

“I am so glad I found Holly. She is excellent! My dog Simon loves her. She is reliable and responds very quickly. She takes her time with Simon walking him, giving him time outside and spending time loving on him. Her notes of the visit are detailed. FShe gives him alot of love. I highly recommend her !”

“Morgan and Jeannette were available on short notice to do a drop in on my two puppies and even came over to meet us the day before their drop in. It’s clear that they love animals and are flexible in handling your pets’ needs. I would definitely book again in the further.”

“Maryann does an amazing job! She is punctual and accommodating to my schedule. I love that she communicates with me about Penny’s visits and goes out of her way to make sure everyone is happy.”

“This was my first time using Rover, although I have several friends who have used it and had great experiences. I truly struck gold with Audra! From the very beginning, she was communicative and responsive throughout the booking process, which immediately put me at ease. My dog, Duke, is an anxious boy, but Audra’s calm, patient, and sweet demeanor won him over right away. Seeing how comfortable he was with her gave me complete confidence that he would be well cared for. I would absolutely recommend Audra to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and compassionate to care for their fur baby. I will definitely be booking with her again in the very near future!”

Regina came recommended by our usual sitters and we couldn't have been more pleased. She was wonderful with our cats, sent lots of pictures and even a few videos while we were gone. She communicated with us very well throughout the entire experience. I would definitely use her again! She even left us a thank you note and a little treat. How sweet is that?!

Sydney was so wonderful, I would book her again in a heart beat! The cats loved her right away, they warmed up to her much faster than other sitters we have had. Sydney sent incredibly detailed updates and look such great care of our cats. I also swear our home was cleaner when we got home than it was when we left. Thanks for everything you did and for giving us so much peace of mind while we were traveling Sydney!

David! Thank you so much for all your help on taking care of my pets. David helped me at a very short notice, twice, back to back days. He was very respectful, kind, and followed all instructions. He was very sweet with my pets and sent me updates throughout the day. I’ll definitely be booking again

Alyssa was wonderful with my pets ! She took my dog on an evening walk, he was thrilled to have such a nice long one today. She also won one of my cats over quickly, the other one will come to love her soon, I am sure, she is just a little more standoffish. But Alyssa did try ! She was on time and professional, she asked all the right pet care questions for my upcoming visit with her, and I feel very comfortable trusting her with my sweet pets and my home.

Kat was awesome! She had to come to our house 2 times a day and she was dependable and always there when she needed to be there. She took pictures of our kitties and communicated at every visit and I loved that. I knew my cats were well taken care of. I would definitely use Kat in the future.

Thank you, Telyn for taking care of Meow. Your commitment to feeding her twice a day is much appreciated. Your text and photo updates were always welcome. When we returned home, the patio was clean and the extra food and bowls were on the patio table, just as planned. You even checked to make sure our house was locked. Should we ever need someone to take care of Meow, we will certainly consider you again.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Peoria. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
