About: I am currently the care taker to two 13+ year old Chihuahuas Dilly and Birdy who are very good with other dogs and sleep a majority of the day. I am experienced with daily medications and potty pad dogs as well as dogs who struggle with accidents. I have a blocked in patio space for frequent potty breaks, no pool and no stairs, aswell as plenty of living room space and an empty guest room if needed. I work evenings typically 6-12 and am able to leave early / frequently if needed. I am an independent contractor and can adjust my schedule at any time I have a closed in patio space and dogs staying behind a doggy gate in the dinning room with potty pads at night. Taking walks through the neighborhood in the mornings depending on temperatures and frequent potty breaks on the patio.

About: What makes me different? Honestly, I've had dogs my whole life, so I really get them. I'm super good with puppy training – helping them with the basics and house-training. And I'm also great with senior dogs, making sure they're comfy and happy. It's more than just watching them; it's about knowing exactly what they need. Our vet recommended we do Rover as a way to socialize our Thor puppy when he was only 6 months old and its now been almost 5 years of doing Rover dog boarding or as I like to call them "puppy sleepovers" and we absolutely love it! We get to share our home and get to spoil pups and give them their own vacation experience and Thor gets buds to play with. It's a win-win-win! Thor is a gorgeous 5yo yellow lab with the best temperament, he is super well socialized thanks to Rover, and he loves (more like obsessed) to play fetch! Thor is fully vaccinated and ask that your dogs also be fully vaccinated and up to date on their boosters. I work from home so I get to spend a lot of time outside playing fetch. Thor is very active and loves to play so we love having friends over for him to play with, so your pup will get plenty of outdoor time on their vacation! Thor is really friendly and does well with all types of dogs. He's super patient and really careful when playing with small pups. He's really good at respecting other pups boundaries when they don't want to play or when they need a break. He is such a good boy. He is super well socialized and plays well with all size dogs and has been exposed to all types of breeds. I play fetch daily with him between 12-1pm until he gets tired. I noticed that when we have other pups stay with us they are too tired from playing all day to play fetch for long but I like sticking to his set play time. I work from my laptop so most of the time I sit in the backyard watching the pups play. I have a fenced in yard with a dog run with artificial grass for pups to run and play as well as a dog friendly pool and patio area. The grass is cleaned and deodorized every Sunday. Pups will be inside our home unless they are supervised outside. We do not crate Thor or any pups in our care unless specificly asked to do so by their pet parent. We let them sleep where they feel most comfortable but my son loves having them sleep with him if it's ok and allowed by their parents. Can't wait to meet your fur baby!

For boarding dogs at my home, I work remote so I will always be home tend to your pet! I also have a safe fenced yard and two very friendly dogs that will keep yours company! If a crate is needed, please let me know as I have one to set up.

“Rachel is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend her! I had never used Rover and was a bit nervous, but Rachel put me right at ease. She bonded with my dog, Dallas, so quickly, answered all of my many questions, and made sure to get all the details of his care. Dallas had a blast!! Daily she sent me updates and pictures of their many adventures. It was wonderful to know that while I was away my dog was being loved and cared for so well. Rachel truly treated Dallas like he was her own. I am so unbelievably grateful to have found her and look forward to her watching Dallas again in the near future. I can't recommend her enough.”

I have never had my dog come home with all her food gone - she usually doesn’t eat well when we are away… BUT she came home with everything gone which shows how comfortable she was there.
