“I couldn't be more pleased with the care and attention Tamara provided Laddie my nice but barky kinda shy Sheltie. Tamara was very attentive and desirous to make sure Laddie was comfortable and not stressed out. I highly recommend Tamara and will request her to care for my 4-legged boy any time I need to go away without him. Thanks Stan and Laddie”

“Issy was very responsive and worked with us to take care of our cats. She went the extra mile as well when it came to our fish. I recommend Issy's services and will not hesitate to book again.”

“This was my first time using Stevie for visiting JoJo the cat while I was away. I cannot explain how pleased I was with her services. JoJo can be a rather aloof cat when he wants to. Upon introduction, Jo went right to Stevie for some petting. Stevie sent several pictures every morning which showed how happy Jo was and I could not be happier. I would feel comfortable using Stevie again at any time for her great kitty care! Hope to use her soon…. Thank you!”

“Dani is THE BEST she is always professional and can be trusted if any emergency arises and will care for your pet as if it was her own. She is a treasure! Thank you Dani for your kindness, Bear loves to see you!”

“Stephanie got along great with my cats and took good care of them. She was very attentive and followed instructions. I will certainly book her again. Thank you Stephanie!”

“Sophia is fantastic! She’s always there when we need her, even on short notice. She takes great care of our pups, giving them plenty of attention and making sure all their needs are met. We’re so grateful to have someone so reliable and caring!”

“2 dogs and 3 cats. Pleasant from the 1st meet & greet. Loved the photos daily. Good communication and on time for visits. It’s hard to find someone to trust, so look not further. This can be your person too. Thank you!!”

“Dina was very reliable, caring and an effective communicator before, during and after 6-day check ins with my cat. I had full confidence in her during that time period (which included admin of medication) that my cat was well cared for. I will use Dina’s services for any future need.”

“Kimberly did a wonderful job! She sent pictures, walked the dogs, and when we came home I could tell that all the food and water had been looked after! I especially appreciated her taking the time to play with the dogs too! Definitely will hire her again!”

“Tonya was awesome watching my two kitties over the holidays. Punctual, friendly, and great with my pets. Did a good job with the care instructions left. She provided a new note and photos after each visit letting me know how they were doing. Great with communication too. Wonderful sitter overall. I recommend!”

“First time using Rover with Mindy chosen for stop in visits for our two dogs. Went great, complete piece of mind about leaving our dogs and house open to Mindy. Mindy communicated via Rover emails a long with multiple photos of our pups with each visit. Thank you Mindy and appreciate you.”

“Savannah was amazing! She took care of my little girl so well. While my kitty is shy and didn't show for her. She stayed just so Maddie could hear someone was there for her. She left her a toy fish and a spring that she can't get enough of. Normally when I arrive home from a trip to she is extremely vocal for a few days. This time she was not stressed or upset. Vocal only for about 30 mins. I will 100% use her for all of my trips.”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, and small animals, including feeding, walking, administering basic care, cleaning, playtime, and maintaining consistent routines. I’m comfortable with pets of varying temperaments, including anxious or shy animals who may need extra patience and reassurance. I pride myself on being dependable, communicative, and attentive, and I always aim to provide a calm, loving environment while pet parents are away. My schedule is currently flexible, which allows me to provide attentive care and accommodate a variety of pet routines and needs. I’m available for weekdays, weekends, and most holidays, and I make communication and consistency a priority while caring for pets. The safety and well-being of every pet in my care is my top priority. I create a calm, secure, and supervised environment where pets can feel comfortable and relaxed while their owners are away. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medication instructions (if applicable), and any specific care needs. I pay close attention to behavior and body language so I can quickly respond to any signs of stress or discomfort. I always ensure pets are safely supervised during visits and walks, use secure leashes/harnesses when outside, and keep a clean, pet-friendly environment at all times. I also provide regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. Trust and communication are very important to me, and I treat every pet and home with respect, care, and responsibility.
“Krysten is absolutely wonderful! Our pups loved her, she provided great photos from her visits and greatly eased our minds while we were away! I am so happy we have an experienced and kind caregiver for our furry family members. We especially appreciate her expertise with older pets, as our Casey needs some extra help with her day to day activities.”
“Our fur babies love Laura. She is very kind and responsible. We can now feel comfortable in leaving our dogs for a bit knowing Laura is here to care for them. We highly recommend Laura.”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 15 years - for friends, family and clients! Patience and snuggles are my motto! I can’t remember a time in my life I didn’t have an animal in my life personally and love when I’m able to help others! I work from home in a pretty flexible job- so I get to spend plenty of time with my furry friends throughout the day! Walks, pets, snuggles and treats! I lean towards what makes you feel best! I am used to animals that are well trained and ones that are still learning and growing. Safety of the pets and those around are always what is most important!
About: I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember, and my lifelong love for pets is what sets me apart! I have experience with dogs of all sizes, from small breeds to giant breeds, and with dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs. In addition to pet sitting for family and friends, I have volunteered with both the Humane Society and AZ Guinea Pigs, giving me experience caring for dogs, cats, and small animals. I believe that the bond between pets and their owners is built on genuine love, trust, and loyalty, and I strive to provide that same love and care when looking after other’s pets. I bond quickly with animals and love spending time with them, whether that means going on walks, playing, cuddling, or simply keeping them company. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their real favorites are away! As a recent high school graduate, I have plenty of free time to devote to caring for your pets while you’re away or busy! I am available on both weekdays and weekends, with the greatest flexibility in the evenings. However, I am also available for morning visits and am happy to work with owners to accommodate their pets’ schedules and needs whenever possible :) Your pets safety and comfort are my top priorities. I understand that every pet has unique needs, routines, and personalities, so I always take the time to follow care instructions carefully and ensure pets feel comfortable and secure in my care. Savannah is wonderful! She was very flexible and accommodating with a last minute change in my schedule and she sent me very detailed reports every single day. She also sent videos and pictures, which really eased my mind about how my Millie was doing. I highly recommend Savannah and definitely will use her marvelous services again when I need to go away. I cannot say enough good things about her! Thank you, Savannah!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Im so grateful to Issy taking care of my babies. I have a regular babysitter who is gone for the summer and am always nervous to trust someone new but she honestly exceeded my expectations and I just booked her again for next month. The thorough updates she provides really puts me at ease and I was surprised that even my most timid kitty warmed up to her immediately. 🩷

Sage was a wonderful pet sitter to my cat. It was for a few checkins over a 1.5 week timeframe and she showed up on time reliably for every check in. She went above and beyond taking care of my cat including litter box cleaning and verifying he had plenty of food and water. The cat gets lonely if we're gone for too long so she was able to provide him great company. Definitely recommend!

Sophia went WAY above and beyond what we asked of her with no questions asked. We were honestly expecting to return to a horrifically dirty house because of our 4 animals after a week! We returned to an almost spotless house with many countermeasures put in place to prevent our animals from destroying everything! Thanks Sophia!

Jane is so caring and treats our cats so well, just like they were her own. She also treats my home with respect and it is easy to communicate with her. Jane does everything she is asked and reaches out to make sure she is doing what we'd like. I can't recommend her enough and would book her every time.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Surprise. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
