“Michele was excellent! She was prompt, professional, and kept us in the loop with our dog’s well being. Knowing she was coming by and checking it allowed us to have a better time away.”

“2 dogs and 3 cats. Pleasant from the 1st meet & greet. Loved the photos daily. Good communication and on time for visits. It’s hard to find someone to trust, so look not further. This can be your person too. Thank you!!”

“Daisy is kind, considerate and communicative! We’ve booked with her many times, and will continue to do so. It’s nice to know we don’t need to stress about our fur babies when we’re out of the area 💛”

About: There have been pets by my side from the day I was born. I currently have 3 cats and 2 dogs: Everett, Violet, Cookie, Herbert, and Walter! Every single person in my immediate family has 2+ dogs and I love to host their playdates. I even have two dog trainer friends who have given me their best advice! I have cared for dogs and cats ages 1-15+ plus fish, parakeets, and hermit crabs. I love the young ones and the senior alike. I often care for multiple pets at once and have experience with special needs pets and administering medication (orally and injected) I am returning to Rover after a 3-year break. I am excited to be active again! To accommodate the care of my own special needs cat, I do not accept overnight requests. I am currently accepting requests for dog-walking and drop-in bookings only. I am a college professor and K-12 substitute working from home most days. With my own cat's special needs, I am currently limiting my services to dog-walking and drop-in bookings only. With summer, I only schedule walks in the morning to prevent our furry loved ones from overheating. :) I do not currently offer services in my own home, but I will respect your home as if it were mine. I check my messages frequently, am punctual, and will love sending you photos of your pets as often as you would like.
“Kimberly did a wonderful job! She sent pictures, walked the dogs, and when we came home I could tell that all the food and water had been looked after! I especially appreciated her taking the time to play with the dogs too! Definitely will hire her again!”

About: I’ve taken care of multiple dogs and cats since I was 16. I will treat your home and belongings with respect as I give your cats and dogs attention (and some belly rubs). After every stay, I make sure your home is exactly how it was when I got there! I currently only work short hours two days a week as well so I can provided a lot of time for your pets to be properly cared for. I’ve always had dogs growing up and I’m used to calm pups as well as crazy ones! I currently work two days a week for short periods of time. On Mondays, I work 3:30-8 at night. On Saturdays, I work 9-1 in the morning/afternoon. I wake up early as well as stay up a little later which allows me to properly give your pets attention and care they deserve! I’m someone who has a huge heart for animals. I treat your pets with respect and care just as if they were own pets! Along with this, I will respect your property completely.
“Laura was so kind and took great care of our dog Bella! We got updates every time she would do a visit with her. I was super impressed with how well she did with Bella, even though our dog had a lot of energy, Laura did great with her. Thank you so much for your time & we appreciate you stepping in to help us while our family was on vacation!!”

“Dina was wonderful. She's very personable which made for a fun meet-n-greet! Not only did she do a great job caring for my two boys but she took on other little tasks like bringing the newspaper and cleaning the food storage containers every day. I would definitely hire her again as my pet sitter! :)”

“Brianna has been absolutely amazing with our pup. She’s reliable, caring, and always takes great care of him. It’s such a relief knowing he’s in good hands. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and thoughtful dog sitter!”

About: I'm a stay-at-home, homeschooling mother of four, and I have one dog (yellow lab mix) and two cats! I love animals and since we are home majority of the time, your pet will have ample love, attention, and care. MY entire downstairs is tile and we have a backyard, so puppies still needing house training would be acceptable. I'm happy to walk/run with dogs, care for cats, come to your home to do check ins, whatever you're looking for, just ask! I have taken care of animals for family, and I appreciate any details or notes you have so I can provide the very best quality of care for your individual pet. I am home majority of the day with my kids. I have young kids ages 5-11 and I homeschool, so we are home most of the time. I take our dog on a walk or run in the morning around 7am or earlier, and again in the evening if the weather is nice. I have plenty of time for loving and caring for your pet! I offer care in our home, or in yours depending on your needs. Your pet will be exercised, fed, watered, loved, played with, cleaned up after, and all around cared for and adored. I can only provide care to animals who are okay with children and other pets, to keep everyone safe from natural pet instincts to protect themselves. My children have been taught to use only gentle and loving hands with slow approach with adult supervision. In the event we need to leave the house I do require kenneling for dogs if they are known to chew/scratch. I am happy to provide pictures and updates, so that you can rest assured your pet is happy and thriving while you are away.
“Emily goes above and beyond every time she cares for our dog. Our puppy wasn’t feeling well recently and Emily voluntarily cleaned up the accident. We always appreciate her looking after our dog!”

About: I have been taking care of pets my entire life. I have raised several stray dogs and cats and have also had several litters of dogs that I ended up keeping! I have adopted pets on numerous occasions and welcome all their different personalities. I work full time, Monday-Friday, however my schedule allows me to be very flexible. I am generally always free on the weekends. I am flexible. I have three dogs who are all rescues at my home, so I will unfortunately only be able to visit your pets at your home.

“Christine was wonderful. She sent detailed messages for every check in she did. Very friendly too! We'll definitely be hiring her again when we need a pet sitter in the future.”
About: I’m a future veterinarian with hands-on animal care experience and a genuine passion for caring for pets of all personalities and sizes. I have experience working in fast-paced environments that require responsibility, attention to detail, patience, and strong communication skills. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, walks, playtime, administering basic care instructions, and making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I understand how important trust is when it comes to pet care, and I always aim to provide dependable, attentive, and compassionate service. Whether your pet loves being active, needs extra patience, or just wants cuddles and companionship, I’ll make sure they receive personalized care and attention. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine because spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize. I have a FLEXIBLE schedule that allows me to dedicate time for walks, feeding routines, playtime, check-ins, and giving pets the attention and care they need throughout the day. As a future veterinarian, working with animals is already a big part of my lifestyle and long-term goals, so providing reliable and compassionate care comes naturally to me. I enjoy creating a calm, safe, and positive environment for pets while keeping owners updated and reassured. When caring for pets in a client’s home or during dog walks, I focus on keeping each dog safe, comfortable, and engaged. Before each walk, I make sure I understand the dog’s routine, behavior, leash preferences, and any special instructions from the owner. During walks, I prioritize safety by staying alert to surroundings, using secure leash handling, and avoiding unsafe interactions with other animals when needed. I let dogs explore at a pace that matches their energy level while making sure they get proper exercise, stimulation, and bathroom breaks. I also pay close attention to each dog’s behavior so I can adjust the walk if they seem tired, anxious, or overly excited. After the walk, I ensure they are safely returned home, have fresh water if needed, and that I provide updates to the owner so they know how the walk went.
“Shelby did a great job with the weekly visits for my pup. She is super flexible and very good with communication, always responding very quickly! My shy dog warmed up to her right away, which is rare for my girl. Definitely would love for Shelby to take care of my pup in the future :)”

“Erin took amazing care of my cat, my cat looked happy and playful in all her pictures. Erin had great communication, and was very quick at responding. I’ll be sure to book with her again!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember, and my lifelong love for pets is what sets me apart! I have experience with dogs of all sizes, from small breeds to giant breeds, and with dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs. In addition to pet sitting for family and friends, I have volunteered with both the Humane Society and AZ Guinea Pigs, giving me experience caring for dogs, cats, and small animals. I believe that the bond between pets and their owners is built on genuine love, trust, and loyalty, and I strive to provide that same love and care when looking after other’s pets. I bond quickly with animals and love spending time with them, whether that means going on walks, playing, cuddling, or simply keeping them company. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their real favorites are away! As a recent high school graduate, I have plenty of free time to devote to caring for your pets while you’re away or busy! I am available on both weekdays and weekends, with the greatest flexibility in the evenings. However, I am also available for morning visits and am happy to work with owners to accommodate their pets’ schedules and needs whenever possible :) Your pets safety and comfort are my top priorities. I understand that every pet has unique needs, routines, and personalities, so I always take the time to follow care instructions carefully and ensure pets feel comfortable and secure in my care. I believe in maintaining a calm, positive, and loving environment while providing plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship. I also value clear communication and am happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Waddell
Annabella was amazing! She went above and beyond to care for our cat Loki while we were on vacation. The night we left, our fire alarms became defective and kept setting off until our maintenance team could come fix them the next day. Annabella stayed extra long during her visit to reassure Loki and comfort him. Our litter robot also had a connection issue, and she was able to reset it & set up an emergency litter box I had shipped to the home. The fire alarm situation caused me a lot of anxiety at the beginning of the trip, but the daily updates and photos from Annabella made me feel so much better and we were able to thoroughly enjoy the rest of our trip, knowing our boy was in good hands! We would definitely rebook with her on future trips. :)

I am always so happy when Krysten takes care of my cat Wolfy. I always know he is in loving and caring hands. She not only takes care of him, but also brings in my mail and any other needs Wolfy or I may have. My home looks so clean and untouched when I come home, and Wolfy is calm and content. It gives me a sense of calm during my times away. I highly recommend Krysten when searching for a pet sitter. A+++++++++++++++++++

Laura is awesome! She is super communicative, kind and so attentive to our fur babies and their needs. Loved the photos she sent, too. Laura was flexible and very understanding throughout our booking. When we were unreachable during our trip, she coordinated with our neighbors as needed. Highly recommend and so grateful for her services!

Daizy is an amazing sitter who cares about the pets she looks after. Always giving picture updates and checking in routinely. She makes me feel comfortable leaving my pets in her caring hands every time she looks after them. She is also fantastic with skittish kiddos, giving them space to feel comfortable with her presence. She is a great sitter and we will be booking her again.

I had a great experience with Caprial. One of my two cats is usually very easily scared and tends to hide around new people, but surprisingly showed no signs of fear around her at all. Both cats seemed comfortable and well cared for. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and kind sitter.

Chance did a great job taking care of our two cats while we were away during a holiday weekend. He followed all our instructions, kept the house clean, and sent great updates and photos. He was also very responsive each time I messaged him. I would definitely book with him again!

Dina was very reliable, caring and an effective communicator before, during and after 6-day check ins with my cat. I had full confidence in her during that time period (which included admin of medication) that my cat was well cared for. I will use Dina’s services for any future need.

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
