“My first time working with Stephanie and it was truly a joy having her visit with JoJo the kitty. It was easy to tell that Stephanie has a love for animals. She sent me lots of nice pics while I was gone which made my day with every view. From the pics she sent, it was obvious that JoJo warmed up with her very quickly. This really allowed me to enjoy my vacation and not spending all my time worrying about JoJo. I would highly recommend Stephanie for your pet care and I hope to use her again. Thank you Stephanie!!!”

“Tonya is awesome! She just took care of my 4 boys while I was out of town this past week and they loved her (they actually told me so). She is very punctual and thorough and follows directions to a T. I even had to ask her for favors like bringing up the garbage can and bringing in packages from the porch which she did without hesitation! She is an excellent care giver and my boys and I are happy to know that we can count on her. If you book her you will not be disappointed!”

“Savannah was wonderful. We had an extraordinary circumstance needing help in our home with our dog in recovery from Valley fever in his brain. Savannah made herself available to us to help with him even though we were still home. She came and helped with feeding, medication and potty breaks. She even made sure we had chances to take care of ourselves.”

“Cassandra has been great! This is our second booking with her. She’s does a great job with our cats while we’re away. Always provides an ETA of arrival, sends pics, videos, updates. Will book again!”

About: I’ve been in the petsitting business for 10 plus years now, and I’ve never met an animal I didn’t like! With two cats at home, and being a regular sitter for my brother with a German shepherd and friend with a Golden and a Collie mix, I’m confident I’ll get along great with your pet, whatever their shape or size. I’ve got experience at giving out medications, making sure pups do their business on walks, and I excel at giving ear scratches and belly rubs. (: As a full-time worker (8:30 am to 5:30 pm, M-F), my availability is limited to early mornings and evenings for drop-in visits. If you’re needing someone to check in on your pup or cat in the morning and around dinnertime, I’m your gal! During those times, I’m happy to stay between 30 minutes and an hour to make sure your pet is happy, healthy and fed. (: I completely understand that it’s hard to leave your home and pet! I will always respect your boundaries within your home and make sure I leave it better than I found it. A petsitter is often also a housesitter, and I will make sure I honor your space. With cats at home, I understand how quickly messes can accumulate, and I’m fully comfortable with cleaning even the grossest of them up. (:

“Dani was great! From our first meeting to her last visit, she was wonderful with our pups. I felt so at ease being out of town knowing that my dogs would be cared for by someone who loves what they do and would take care of my dogs like they were her own. We will definitely be using Dani’s services again in the future.”

“Stevie is awesome! So I used her back in December when we went to Vegas and my time frame to leave her a review expired but I had such a good experience with her then that I didn’t think twice about requesting her for my recent last minute trip to Cali. Thankfully she was available! She’s very good! She’s quick and will do exactly what you ask of her— and I’m an annoying, super anal pet parent to 4 kitties that don’t all eat the same exact thing and have to be separated when fed (and I always leave a detailed, typed out with pictures “book” of instructions on the counter). Needless to say she does and did an excellent job! She’s a valuable asset to the community of pet owners who frequently travel. I will definitely not hesitate to use her again soon!”

“Tamara was great. Our 2 dogs and cat seemed very happy with her. She did everything we asked and was always easy to communicate with. We will definitely use her again!”

“We really enjoyed working with Kaela, our cats loved her and she connected with them instantly. We will book her services again and will recommend her to friends and family. Thank you, Kaela!”

“Sydney was amazing with our cats while we were out of town. She sent lots of pictures and provide me really detailed updates which we so appreciated! She was great at communicating and made sure our house and pets were secure. Our cats warmed up to her which reassured me that she was really spending time letting them get to know her and she played with and snuggled with them a lot. 🥰 we would definitely book with her again or recommend her to someone else!”

“Elizabeth was very responsive and kind ! She took extra care to follow my notes. I felt totally at peace knowing she was with my babies when I couldn’t be ! I would highly recommend her services to anyone. She’s an above and beyond professional!”

“Great experience with Lauren. Very flexible with doing a last min meet & greet and working around my kitty’s medication schedule. Left everything tidy (both kitties are messy eaters). Judging from the photos/updates I could see that my senior furbabies were well taken care of and happy. Would def use Lauren again.”

“Sophia is fantastic! She’s always there when we need her, even on short notice. She takes great care of our pups, giving them plenty of attention and making sure all their needs are met. We’re so grateful to have someone so reliable and caring!”

“Alex has been our go-to sitter for our kitties and we truly couldn’t ask for anyone better. Her daily photos and updates reassure us that our kitties are doing well at home while we are away and that peace of mind is everything. If you are looking for someone to ensure your kitties are well cared for while you are away from home, Alex is your person. Thank you for everything Alex.”
About: I am an experienced pet caregiver, and in another life I was a veterinary assistant. I now work from home, so I want to spread love and care to all pets big and small! As of right now I am available every day, including weekends, from early mornings to late nights. I have reliable transportation to and from your homes as needed or in case of any emergency. I can offer long walks and play time for your furry friends! I can work with both dogs and cats who require medications such as insulin, transdermal medications, any other oral medications and other special care during home visits and boarding situations. I do not have any breed restrictions and hope to see dogs of all shapes and sizes, and I can walk even the heaviest of dogs. I currently work full time from home. I have a fenced in backyard for potty breaks and easily accessible walking trails by my home that I love utilizing. I live in a 3 bedroom home with my partner and a roommate. We are all animal lovers and love to play. While I am the main caregiver in the home, I am in competition for main cuddler.
About: I have always had at least one dog since I no was young. Currently, I have a wiener dog and a rat terrier that my son calls his brother and sister. I am available weekends to hang out with dogs. I have a huge gated yard and a doggy door for guests to enjoy. My husband and I can be home as needed to watch guests during the weekends! I’m open to dogs during the week, but we do work outside of the home. I’m happy to provide water and pee pads or doggy door access if you’re ok with the radio as company! Let me know! Pets in my home are treated like my very own! I have tile floors in the living room and kitchen, as well as dog beds (and of course the couch!) to make them comfortable.
“Maryann does an amazing job! She is punctual and accommodating to my schedule. I love that she communicates with me about Penny’s visits and goes out of her way to make sure everyone is happy.”

Lauren is the best!!! She is so attentive to all our care instructions for our two kitties. We've had her as our cat sitter twice now and will definitely request her again. She reads our instructions thoroughly(one of our cats is on a special diet) and takes such great care. I also love that she takes lots of photos and leaves a detailed note after each visit. It puts my mind at ease while we are away from home that's for sure! 10/10 recommend!

Im so grateful to Issy taking care of my babies. I have a regular babysitter who is gone for the summer and am always nervous to trust someone new but she honestly exceeded my expectations and I just booked her again for next month. The thorough updates she provides really puts me at ease and I was surprised that even my most timid kitty warmed up to her immediately. 🩷

Sophia went WAY above and beyond what we asked of her with no questions asked. We were honestly expecting to return to a horrifically dirty house because of our 4 animals after a week! We returned to an almost spotless house with many countermeasures put in place to prevent our animals from destroying everything! Thanks Sophia!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Youngtown. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
