“Stephanie got along great with my cats and took good care of them. She was very attentive and followed instructions. I will certainly book her again. Thank you Stephanie!”

“Issym was wonderful from start to finish. One of my two dogs is timid and not at all food-driven. She doesn't usually come or even eat for someone she doesn't know. I understand this about her and told Issy that I expect she might not eat all her food or even come when called. However, after the first visit, Issy was able to make a connection with her somehow. This resulted in my dog Yami eating for Issy and even licking her! She seldom does that to a stranger. Both my dogs were very well cared for. Issy gave an allergy pill to my other dog (who is the total opposite of Yami!). I highly recommend Issy and hope she is available the next time I have to leave town.”

“Dani is THE BEST she is always professional and can be trusted if any emergency arises and will care for your pet as if it was her own. She is a treasure! Thank you Dani for your kindness, Bear loves to see you!”

“We really enjoyed working with Kaela, our cats loved her and she connected with them instantly. We will book her services again and will recommend her to friends and family. Thank you, Kaela!”

“Krysten is wonderful as always! We have a new rescue pup who is still shy, before her visit, she planned a stop by to meet him so he would be calm when she did her visit. We appreciate her care of our pups so much!!!”

“Cassandra is super friendly and is extremely patient with our shy/anxious dog. She went above and beyond to connect with him on his terms. Looking forward to working with her in the future!”

About: I have always been the “go to” for all my family, neighbors, and friends when they are in need of someone to be lovingly attentive, patient, and dependable to their pet’s needs. I have many years of experience with rescue, senior, puppies and special needs dogs. I volunteer at a local dog/cat shelter and a farm animal sanctuary in my spare time. It is an absolute joy meeting new animals and getting to know their individual personalities. My love of all animals makes this work deeply fulfilling and so much fun for me. I understand how difficult it can be to have someone else care for your pets when you have to be away. Keeping them happy, engaged and safe is what I’m best at! Lots of one on one time 😊 Playing outside, whether it be walking or hitting my local dog park, is one of my favorite things to do. With this summer heat, there will also be plenty of indoor play and mind engaging activities to enjoy as well. Snuggles and belly rubs are always on the table! I am a full time online student with plenty of time and attention to give your furry family members! I am an early riser and love a good walk or short hike to start the day off. This is my full time job so I will be there with your pet day and night! My only desire is to leave you and your pet fully satisfied with the time we spend together! That means any amount of time and attention they may need is what I’m happily available to offer. My “happy place” is with animals of all kinds so this really is just about making new furry friends for me and having some fun along the way 😊
“Savannah was so attentive to our cat for drop-ins while we were on vacation. She made sure she moved at our cat’s pace, which paid off as it seems she warmed up quickly! We had such peace of mind knowing our girl was taken care of. Will definitely book with Savannah again!”

“Stephanie was great and our pups loved her! We originally booked for 3 days but our flights were changed and we needed to book 2 more days, she was extremely flexible and accommodating for the last minute request. She also came by our home for a meet and greet a week prior to our booking so I felt totally comfortable with her checking on our dogs while we were out of town. We will definitely be booking with her for our next trip!”

“This is the second time Angel has dropped in for my babies and she is nothing but fantastic! She's extremely and consistently communicative and makes me feel confident and comfortable that my animals will be taken care of.”

“We appreciate Faith so much!! We know that no matter the travel delays and stresses….everything is fine and worry free when Faith is in charge of our furry guy!!”

“Elizabeth was an amazing pet sitter for our two kitties! She made sure to not only give specialized play time with our younger cat, but also gave space to our older shy cat. Both cats seemed to love being around her and we would love to have her catsit for us again!”

“She took great care of my 2 cats, they are very energetic and she would play with them until they were tuckered out every day I was gone, I’d recommend Kat to anyone that needs their pets taken care of. Also the daily updates with pictures were cute”

“Stevie was able to accommodate my last minute booking request, provided flexible scheduling, and took great care of my cat taking memorable photos of her. I am grateful to Stevie for watching my cat during an unexpected trip and certainly will rebook her if need be!”

“Tamara was great. Our 2 dogs and cat seemed very happy with her. She did everything we asked and was always easy to communicate with. We will definitely use her again!”

“Sydney was amazing with our cats while we were out of town. She sent lots of pictures and provide me really detailed updates which we so appreciated! She was great at communicating and made sure our house and pets were secure. Our cats warmed up to her which reassured me that she was really spending time letting them get to know her and she played with and snuggled with them a lot. 🥰 we would definitely book with her again or recommend her to someone else!”

About: I’ve been in the petsitting business for 10 plus years now, and I’ve never met an animal I didn’t like! With two cats at home, and being a regular sitter for my brother with a German shepherd and friend with a Golden and a Collie mix, I’m confident I’ll get along great with your pet, whatever their shape or size. I’ve got experience at giving out medications, making sure pups do their business on walks, and I excel at giving ear scratches and belly rubs. (: As a full-time worker (8:30 am to 5:30 pm, M-F), my availability is limited to early mornings and evenings. If you’re needing someone to check in on your pup or cat in the morning and around dinnertime, I’m your gal! During those times, I’m happy to make sure your pet is happy, healthy and fed. If I’m housesitting, I will stay overnight and give lots of cuddles! (: I completely understand that it’s hard to leave your home and pet! I will always respect your boundaries within your home and make sure I leave it better than I found it. A petsitter is often also a housesitter, and I will make sure I honor your space. With cats at home, I understand how quickly messes can accumulate, and I’m fully comfortable with cleaning even the grossest of them up. (:

Lauren is the best!!! She is so attentive to all our care instructions for our two kitties. We've had her as our cat sitter twice now and will definitely request her again. She reads our instructions thoroughly(one of our cats is on a special diet) and takes such great care. I also love that she takes lots of photos and leaves a detailed note after each visit. It puts my mind at ease while we are away from home that's for sure! 10/10 recommend!

Im so grateful to Issy taking care of my babies. I have a regular babysitter who is gone for the summer and am always nervous to trust someone new but she honestly exceeded my expectations and I just booked her again for next month. The thorough updates she provides really puts me at ease and I was surprised that even my most timid kitty warmed up to her immediately. 🩷

Sophia went WAY above and beyond what we asked of her with no questions asked. We were honestly expecting to return to a horrifically dirty house because of our 4 animals after a week! We returned to an almost spotless house with many countermeasures put in place to prevent our animals from destroying everything! Thanks Sophia!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Youngtown. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
