When caring for pets during dog walks and drop-in visits, I will follow any specific instructions provided by the owner regarding feeding, medication, and other care requirements. During a dog walk, I would always make sure that the dog is safely and securely leashed. I will also ensure they'll get plenty of exercise as well as let them have fun! I'll treat them like they're my own dog and make sure they receive plenty of love along with getting the chance to relieve themselves. During a drop-in visit, I'll follow all instructions left by the owner. I will feed your pet, change their water, let them use the bathroom, clean up any messes, and of course love on them! I'll make sure they get any extra energy out by playing and spend time with them so they get to be with someone. Along with ensuring they're happy, I'm also comfortable giving medication they may need such as pills, eye/ear drops, and ointments. I will also send updates during walks and check ins to let the owner know how they're doing as well as sending pictures! My main goal is to make sure they're well taken care of and very happy and am confident I'll do a great job!

I would love to know ahead of time energy level and temperament of a dog! Some dogs I've watched prefer laying on the couch and relaxing and others need to run around or else they get very antsy. Temperament is also important if we're on a walk in case they're sensitive to other dogs or people. Along with this knowing how socialized they are (very helpful if they're a puppy) is good to be aware of. Lastly, if they know any commands like "heel" or "sit" on a walk is great!
A typical day
I love to have fun and love on all the dogs I'm with! If your dog has a specific game it likes to play I'd love to spend a time engaging with them and tiring them out (tug of war, playing ball, etc). In my area there's a beautiful trail that I love walking on myself, so it would be great to take them along there! There are so many smells and things to explore and I know if I love it they would too.

My extensive experience having owned and taken care of dogs of all ages sets me apart from other sitters and dog walkers. I've been around dogs my entire life and have cared for young puppies all the way to senior dogs. I'm very attentive to detail and am able to provide care for dogs having specific needs. I've watched many senior dogs who need specific pills, ointments for joint/skin issues, eye drops, and more. I am comfortable with both small and large dogs and love getting to love and spend time with them. Lauren was awesome!!! I was asked last minute to work a longer shift at work and Lauren was available same day. I left instructions for during her visit and she followed perfectly with no questions. Loved that. I don't mind questions, but shows competency! She took a bunch of pics and played with them for the remaining time after making sure they were fed. 10/10 will hire again if needed! 😸
