“Lori, Is a great Sitter. My Baby Boy Rotti did so well with her. She kept me informed about Baby and send me Pictures of him every day. She is a kind and Loving Person who cares deeply for dogs and takes good care of them. She is an asset to the Company and I will certainly use her again.”

“Absolutely fantastic person! Was able to book on short notice and was super kind and accommodating. Was super good with my dog from the beginning and really put me at ease at drop off. Made sure to update me on my baby about halfway through the stay. 10/10 would use again.”

“Marie took such great care of Stitch! Very communicative, drop off and pick up were easy. Also super understanding and accommodating. Stitch had a comfortable room to stay at and loved the pictures and updates. Highly recommend and we will rebook again in the future! :)”

“Deanna was quick to respond to my request and set-up a meet-and-greet within the same day. Deanna and her family went above and beyond taking care of my pup & welcomed her into their family for the holidays. She was great with communication and sent consistent photo updates. She was also beyond accommodating with some scheduling changes. We would absolutely book again with Deanna in the future! 😊”

About: As a proud owner of three rescue dogs and a cat, I have years of experience caring for animals of all shapes and sizes. I’m used to the beautiful chaos of a multi-pet home and know how to provide a safe, structured environment. Your pet will receive plenty of affection and personal care in a home that truly understands what it means to be part of the family. My day starts at 5:30 AM with morning potty breaks and a structured feeding schedule. After the school drop-off, I dedicated my mid-mornings to long walks and playtime. Since I am home throughout the day, I let the dogs out every two hours or whenever they bark to let me know they need a break. Your pet will be part of a consistent, active, and very attentive routine. Safety is my top priority. My home is set up to keep pets secure, with a fully fenced yard and constant supervision during outdoor time. Because I have a multi-pet household, I am an expert at managing slow introductions and ensuring every animal feels comfortable. I never leave guest pets unattended with my own pack, and I make sure my curious cat and friendly dogs interact safely with all visitors.
“Sonia was the best! I really appreciated the photos and videos, I could see that Tina was happy and wagging her tail 🤣 I loved that Tina got to hang out with Chuy, he’s adorable. Everything was great, I will 100% keep booking with Sonia.”

“Francesca C is an amazing sitter. She accepted my last minute request. She updated couple of times with pictures. My puppy was happy. I had wonderful experience. Will definitely go back and recommend.”

“Brittany was great while caring for my pup while I was away for 4 days! I received daily communication with updates. My dog enjoys scent walks and Brittany’s home was great for her. Based on my dog’s behavior, it seems she felt comfortable and safe in this home! I appreciate Brittany’s willingness to accommodate my pup’s need and her care for her.”

“Amber and her family were Fantastic!!! The whole family is warm and friendly, my cat bonded with them almost immediately. Communication was great, Amber sent pics and videos, after the second day, I was not worried at all as my cat was probably more spoiled there then at home!! Amber is my go-to from now on!!!”

“I had the pleasure of working with Sanah for a second round of services, and I can honestly say she is an absolute angel. She is incredibly nurturing and caring with my little boy, Max, which gave me complete peace of mind. She kept me consistently updated with pictures and progress, and her communication throughout was excellent. Overall, it was an outstanding experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.”

“Dina is a great conversationalist and big hearted woman. She is kind and sweet and it’s obvious she loves animals. Her two little pups are absolutely adorable and helped my pup blossom. I was hoping for a boarding care where my dog could open up more to other dogs, and this stay didn’t disappoint. I look forward to bringing my dog back to her again.”

“Jesmarie and husband were amazing with my dog, my dog can sometimes be too much and she was giving them a hard time a little bit and probably being annoying but she still took good care of my dog and communicated everything that was happening and sent me pictures, she still made me feel like it was totally fine and she had great patience. Would recommend her anytime.”

“We always love to have Ash watch Millie! She is amazing with her and I feel so comfortable knowing Millie is with her! She always takes such great care of Millie!”

“Kathy and Catalina did an awesome job of watching my dog for several days. CJ always looked extremely loved and well cared for! I think she's a little bored after spending a few days with Bandit and a fun household. So glad to hear your dog and my dog got along soooo well!!! Really loved and appreciated the pics of my dog-baby, while I was gone. I feel strongly that my dog and yours are very well cared for by Kathy, et.al.”

“My German Shepherd had a lovely stay with Jeremy. He has a great, spacious yard for sniffing and roaming, which was ideal for my boy. Definitely recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Youngtown
Kathy and Steve took great care of our 3 pups for almost 2 weeks. Would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again. I know taking care of 3 can be a handful but they did a great job and seemed happy to do it. Our dogs came home happy and well taken care of.

My friend had a medical emergency that put her in the hospital leaving her without care for her fur baby Candy. Lori responded immediately and took our booking on a busy holiday weekend. She was able to take good care of this poor stressed baby until our friends family was able to pick her up. She sent updates including showing how she had relaxed under Lori's care. Candy clearly relaxed and thrived with Lori. I would definitely book with her again!

Susan was the absolute best for our pups! Our female can take a while to warm up to strangers and Susan understood and then she loved Susan by the end of the weekend. She communicated and updated us often over the weekend which we love. Would absolutely book her again.

Jennifer was amazing with my 2 pups. She was prompt when replying to the potential last minute booking as my family could not assist with care during this trip. She was fabulous at sending update photos of their activities. They were truly safe with her and they showed it upon my return. Tilly knew it was time to go home and made her way over giving Jenn a hug and kiss goodbye, her way of saying thank you and I love you! Impeccable care and love given during my time away. Jenn is gold!

Tammy was very responsive and helpful as I looked for a temporary home for my aunt's dog. Pearl obviously felt very comfortable with Tammy and Lola which showed in the several photos that were shared. I would arrange a stay with Tammy again. She provides a friendly home away from home.
Rachel has been amazing! We’ve utilized her multiple times. She is extremely accommodating and flexible, even accepting with only a days notice! I love that my boy is in a home environment, roaming freely with outdoor access and getting so much care and attention! Rachel sends the most adorable updates with photos and videos that completely light up my day! I am so glad we found her🐾♥️

Alex was great! Unfortunately I had to book someone last minute and being new to the area I didn’t really know who to contact. Luckily Alex was able to confirm his availability quickly during a holiday weekend. He even sent some pictures while we were gone and my dog seemed in great spirits when I picked him up. Just a great experience overall. Thank you Alex!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
