“Sonia was amazing with my little chihuahua! She kept me updated many times throughout the day with photos and videos and my dog looked so happy. You can tell Sonia really loves dogs and will care for them like they are her own. I highly recommend Sonia!”

“Absolutely fantastic person! Was able to book on short notice and was super kind and accommodating. Was super good with my dog from the beginning and really put me at ease at drop off. Made sure to update me on my baby about halfway through the stay. 10/10 would use again.”

“Michelle and her kids took wonderful care of my dog, Luna! I greatly appreciated the daily updates and pictures they sent, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. It’s clear they treated Luna like family. I will certainly book Michelle again the next time I need someone to watch my pup 🐶.”

“Danna, Brooke, and their sons always do a great job of watching our anxious German Shepherd — he’s so happy to spend time at their home and run around their big, grassy yard. They take excellent care of him!”

“she was SO good with my dog and took such good care of her. my dog had special instructions for meds and marie kept me updated every day! my dog looked so happy staying with her (she sent me pictures daily). i had such a great experience with her and i will have doodle board with her again for sure 🩷🎀”
“Christina was awesome! This was my first time leaving my fur baby with anyone other than family but I was at ease my entire trip because I knew Stormy was in good hands. When I picked up my baby, he was in such a good mood so I knew he had a good time with Christina and her dogs! We will definitely be back for more fun 🙂”

“Thank goodness for caring Claudia. She had her hands full with a frisky one year old and one suffering with seasonal allergies. She did a terrific job with both and her level of care and understanding is truly remarkable ❤️”

“This is our second time staying with Sherrie! Everything went well and she provided updates and pictures frequently. Would definitely reach out if we need help again in the future.”

“Thanks Alyssa for sharing your family and home with Bernie. He so enjoyed his stay with you all and was sad to leave! Knowing he was having so much fun made my traveling so much less stressful and worry free. Bernie will be back for sure! Thanks for making him so welcomed and loving him!”

“Sajwa & Jason were so caring and sweet with our dog. They were kind, attentive and sent lots of video and updates. I would use them again for my sitter and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her as a great sitter for others.”

“We picked up our guy today after being gone for 8 days. First time leaving him anywhere so we were nervous. Chris and Julia were amazing. They were so nice and made us feel comfortable. They sent us daily updates and we could see he was enjoying himself and getting along with their dog. We were able to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing he was in good hands. They’ll definitely be our go to sitters in the future.”

“Kylea took absolutely wonderful care of my pup, Paco, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly. From start to finish, it was clear how much she genuinely loves the animals she looks after. Paco was happy, well cared for, and clearly comfortable in her hands the entire time. I would absolutely be using her in the future and cannot recommend her enough.”

“Tiffany is very friendly. I am appreciative that she accepted to board my senior dog last minute. She was able to administer his meds in a timely manner. My dog made new friends with other dogs while he was there. I will definitely be using Tiffany again.”

“This was my first time letting this family watch my pups and I was a bit concerned because I typically choose sitters that have no pets and only sits for one family at a time. That is primarily because my pups don't do well around other animals. My normal sitter had no availability so I had to find someone new and closer to home. Additonally, my pups are use to roaming the house and caged at night, or when I am gone from home for over 5 hrs. Using Onelvis gave me an opportunity to see how things would work with them being around other dogs. Onelvis sent photos and stayed in touch with me with concerns. Additionally, I appreciated that they isolated my dogs from the others to keep things easy and more peaceful. I would definitely use Onelvis again especially because they took great care of Bonnie & Clyde, kept them separate from the other doggies, and kept me updated with photos & concerns.”

“Jeremy and his family were great! I am so thankful to have found them, chief had so much fun running around. We felt such at ease all weekend. Would definitely recommend him to anyone!”

“I had the pleasure of working with Sanah for a second round of services, and I can honestly say she is an absolute angel. She is incredibly nurturing and caring with my little boy, Max, which gave me complete peace of mind. She kept me consistently updated with pictures and progress, and her communication throughout was excellent. Overall, it was an outstanding experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Youngtown
Carolyn was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Yoda. She was incredibly patient with him and cared for him as if he were her own. It was clear that she genuinely loves animals and goes the extra mile to make sure they are comfortable, happy, and well cared for. One of the things I appreciated most was how often Carolyn sent pictures and updates. Seeing Yoda happy and relaxed gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We are so grateful for the exceptional care she provided, and I would highly recommend Carolyn to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and reliable pet sitter. We will definitely be using her again!

Luna had an absolutely wonderful stay with her Lori! Luna is a 5½-year-old German Shepherd, and it’s not always easy to find someone you can completely trust with a large breed dog, but my experience was fantastic. I received lots of photos and updates throughout her stay, which gave me great peace of mind and showed just how much fun Luna was having. It was clear she was well cared for, comfortable, and treated like part of the family. When I picked her up, she was happy, relaxed, and clearly had a great time. I highly recommend Lori to anyone looking for someone reliable, caring, and attentive. We will definitely be booking again!

Susan was the absolute best for our pups! Our female can take a while to warm up to strangers and Susan understood and then she loved Susan by the end of the weekend. She communicated and updated us often over the weekend which we love. Would absolutely book her again.

Jennifer was amazing with my 2 pups. She was prompt when replying to the potential last minute booking as my family could not assist with care during this trip. She was fabulous at sending update photos of their activities. They were truly safe with her and they showed it upon my return. Tilly knew it was time to go home and made her way over giving Jenn a hug and kiss goodbye, her way of saying thank you and I love you! Impeccable care and love given during my time away. Jenn is gold!

Tammy was very responsive and helpful as I looked for a temporary home for my aunt's dog. Pearl obviously felt very comfortable with Tammy and Lola which showed in the several photos that were shared. I would arrange a stay with Tammy again. She provides a friendly home away from home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
