“This was our second time using her for dog boarding, and once again she was absolutely wonderful. She is kind, friendly, and genuinely cares about the pets she looks after. She went above and beyond to make sure my dog was comfortable, happy, and well cared for during the stay. I appreciated the updates and the extra attention she gave to my senior dog. It gave me great peace of mind knowing he was in such loving hands. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter, and I would gladly book with her again.”

“Martin was a great sitter for my puppy Honey. He made sure she was never bored by taking her on walks and parks. When I picked her up, I could see Honey really liked Martin by the way she acted with him. Martin has a great patio and his dog, Chewy, was super friendly with Honey. I will be choosing him in the future!”

About: My mom loves cats, but after much pleading, our family welcomed a new addition. He is a large German Shepherd mix that is 10 years old.I have a Chihuahua mix who experiences separation anxiety because he had other owners who couldn’t handle his screaming. I have been studying dog training and sought assistance from Petsmart to help with my dog's anxiety. Although he still faces challenges, I noticed that he is less aggressive when taken out for walks. I have been caring for dogs and cats for many years and hold a deep affection for them. I can do pet sitting and boarding for weekends. I do work Monday to Saturday with Tuesdays and Sunday's off. I’m available for the morning during weekdays especially now that it’s getting hotter outside I prefer that time. I currently work full-time at Michael Lewis Co. and am also a full-time student at ASU. I work Monday and Wednesday through Saturday, and I’m off on Tuesdays and Sundays. On the days I work, I will be away for up to 8 hours for pet sitting. I may also have some in-person classes, but I always keep my Rover calendar updated to reflect my availability. I live in an apartment with two dogs—a Chihuahua mix. I let him out to go potty at the dog park nearby. He is fed after I get back from work, have access to a water fountain that is refilled daily, and are well cared for throughout the day.
“I had the pleasure of working with Sanah for a second round of services, and I can honestly say she is an absolute angel. She is incredibly nurturing and caring with my little boy, Max, which gave me complete peace of mind. She kept me consistently updated with pictures and progress, and her communication throughout was excellent. Overall, it was an outstanding experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.”

“We can't say enough good things about our experience leaving our fur babies with Annie. She cared for them like if they were her own. We received pictures every day, and they surely looked like they were having so much fun. We feel blessed to have found her, and we will definitely call her -hopefully- soon!”

“Sajwa & Jason were so caring and sweet with our dog. They were kind, attentive and sent lots of video and updates. I would use them again for my sitter and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her as a great sitter for others.”

“Amazing!! Great with the dogs. Sends you the cutest updates about your pup, and great with communication! My dog diesel really took a liking to Shari, her family and her home!”

“Bethany was a WONDERFUL choice to take care of our 3 pups! She took excellent care of them, sent photos, and they were very happy at her home. I highly recommend Bethany and we will be back!”

“Kristal is the sweetest, kindess person you could ever have to watch your dog. She cares and loves dogs. My Mickey fell in love. Thanks Kristal and Thank you Rover.”

“I really appreciate the care and love Lindsey gave my Bambi. The pictures and textes I got from Lindsey were so awesome. Looks like Bambi had the time of her life. So while I'm out of town again this is where Bambi will be again. A 5 Star Lindsey for sure. Thank You.”

About: I’m an experienced dog sitter and proud dog owner of my own pup, Zjefke. I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds and sizes, providing daily walks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of love. I make sure every furry friend feels safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away! Taking care of pets is normally a big part of my daily and weekly routine, especially with my own dog, Zjefke. Since we couldn’t take him with us recently, I’ve really missed that daily connection. I love providing walks, playtime, feeding, and cuddles, and I bring the same care and attention to every dog and cat I look after. In my home, pets are part of the family. I care for them with love and attention, following their routines for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest. We also have a 2-year-old child who adores animals, so pets get lots of cuddles, gentle interaction, and companionship. I ensure they feel safe, happy, and well-cared-for, and I keep owners updated on how their furry friends are doing
“We are so happy to find someone like Claudia. There were special services needed for our Greta. Claudia was very helpful and made sure that Greta received two insulin injections daily. We are so thankful for all she did for our Greta.”

“My 2 senior dogs had a good 6 days stay with Liliana, they looked happy and healthy when I picked them up. I'm glad we found Liliana to watch our dogs and will use her services in the future. Thank you for taking care of my babies!”

“Myra was a wonderful caretaker of our sweet pup Riley. They brought her into their home, treated her like part of the family, and gave us updates and pictures daily. We feel very lucky we found such a great dog sitter! Thank you Myra!”

“Kathleen and Steven were the perfect fur baby substitute parents. I loved all the pictures and felt so confident about this decision. Both my husband and I will highly recommend Kathleen and Steve to all our friends and family. What a great experience! Couldn't be more grateful! Sincerely Terri and Brian, PS Bailey is missing you both very much.”

“Megan was great with our 2 large pups who had never been boarded with someone they didn't know before. She was also super patient with all my questions and super flexible/helpful when setting everything up. I would highly recommend her and plan on using her again in the future!”

“Jesmarie and husband were amazing with my dog, my dog can sometimes be too much and she was giving them a hard time a little bit and probably being annoying but she still took good care of my dog and communicated everything that was happening and sent me pictures, she still made me feel like it was totally fine and she had great patience. Would recommend her anytime.”

“I'm so, so happy I found Mitch to take care of our sheltie during our trip. We received multiple photos and updates from Mitch every day and Nani was smiling and obviously happy hanging out with Mitch and his wife. I never thought anyone could spoil our dog more than us - and he did! When we came to pick her up she wasn't anxious to leave and wanted to hang out - beaming with joy when Mitch pet her to say goodbye.”

“Tricia came to the rescue when we wanted to do a quick staycation. Communication was great! She took care of Maya for the night, took her for a walk, and sent cute pics! She’s very kind and Maya instantly vibed with her. Had a great experience with Tricia and highly recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Litchfield Park
Hunter was great when watching our little boy Champ. He was attentive, caring, and patient. When Champ began experiencing some separation anxiety being away from us, Hunter was extremely diligent with reaching out to notify us and talk through ways to help make Champ more comfortable. Thank you Hunter for watching Champ for us during our time of need!

Great experience! When you love your pets, there is always the fear of them suffering or feeling uncomfortable while you are away. From our first meet-and-greet, Joke gave us the confidence to integrate March (our 10-year-old indoor, medium-sized Schnauzer) into her family. She took the time to introduce him to each member of the household and observe their reactions. The reception was wonderful, and March quickly connected with everyone, receiving love and attention from the very beginning. I provided Joke with the main instructions for caring for March, and I am extremely satisfied with the way she followed them. She went above and beyond by sending us pictures and updates throughout her stay, which gave us great peace of mind. I would also like to mention that when you drop off your dog, you immediately notice how clean the environment is. The space is spacious, calm, and free from the overcrowding that can sometimes disrupt a dog's comfort and tranquility. The absence of other dogs helped ensure a peaceful and stress-free stay for March. I highly recommend Joke to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and professional pet sitter. We will definitely use her services again! 🐾❤️ Thank you.

Sierra is a wonderful sitter. She’s super easy to work with and had us do a meet and greet first to ensure everyone got along. Willow is usually shy but warmed up to her and her roommate during his stay and really enjoyed hanging out in the backyard. She sent great photos throughout, and it’s clear they took excellent care of him. Definitely booking again!

Out of all the great sitters Rover has to offer I’m so happy I picked Alexis. I was so nervous about leaving Lily that I almost canceled my vacation. But Alexis and her to cats made Lily feel comfortable from the first day I dropped her off. And in no time, Lily was acting like she was part of the family. Alexis did a great job sending me pictures and keeping me updated on how Lily was doing which set my mind at ease. Alexis was also kind enough to stay up late and wait on me to pick up Lily when my flight was delayed. I’d definitely recommend Alexis if you’re looking for a caring pet sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
