“This is our second time having Sanah watch our pups. She is phenomenal. She truly goes above and beyond with her care. The pups are happy to see her and enjoy her space. We 10/10 would recommend her to watch anyone’s pup.”

About: I’m an experienced dog sitter and proud dog owner of my own pup, Zjefke. I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds and sizes, providing daily walks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of love. I make sure every furry friend feels safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away! Taking care of pets is normally a big part of my daily and weekly routine, especially with my own dog, Zjefke. Since we couldn’t take him with us recently, I’ve really missed that daily connection. I love providing walks, playtime, feeding, and cuddles, and I bring the same care and attention to every dog and cat I look after. In my home, pets are part of the family. I care for them with love and attention, following their routines for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest. We also have a 2-year-old child who adores animals, so pets get lots of cuddles, gentle interaction, and companionship. I ensure they feel safe, happy, and well-cared-for, and I keep owners updated on how their furry friends are doing

“Lilly was so good with our fur baby!! We met beforehand and Jax just walked right into her home and was immediately comfortable, rolling over for belly rubs. Jax takes a bit to warm up to people so this was very reassuring. She sent us regular updates with pics which was great. Most importantly, when we picked him up he was happy and calm - there have been times where I've picked him up from other places and he was so stressed out it broke my heart - not this time!! I would definitely recommend Lilly to anyone looking for someone to care for their babies!!”

“Nick, Veronica, and the boys are the best… we had to leave our girl for a whole month… not easy to do. They were wonderful step in pet parents for Maggie. Thanks again!!!!”

“Michelle is an excellent sitter. She kept our little Yorkie for 10 days and was obviously provided first-class care! I also appreciated the daily updates and pictures. I highly recommend Michelle and will use her again in the future!”

“Kimberly was fantastic! Our four month old doodle loved her, her home, and backyard. She was kind and easy to communicate with and sent pictures and videos of our puppy’s fun day. I highly recommend using Kimberly. I know we will definitely use her again.”

“Sonja was amazing with Coby, took excellent care of him. She often sent pictures of him, enjoying his stay. Coby loved her children and I believe he didn’t even want to leave them and come home with me 😆 I would highly recommend this family for your pets.”

“Celynda was amazing with Liv. She took care of her like she was her own. We never had to wonder how Liv was doing as Celynda was very good about sending updates and photos. I would definitely book with her again in the future and would recommend her to anyone else in need of a pet sitter. She is sure to provide excellent care!”

About: My mom loves cats, but after much pleading, our family welcomed a new addition. He is a large German Shepherd mix that is 10 years old.I have a Chihuahua mix who experiences separation anxiety because he had other owners who couldn’t handle his screaming. I have been studying dog training and sought assistance from Petsmart to help with my dog's anxiety. Although he still faces challenges, I noticed that he is less aggressive when taken out for walks. I have been caring for dogs and cats for many years and hold a deep affection for them. I can do pet sitting and boarding for weekends. I do work Monday to Saturday with Tuesdays and Sunday's off. I’m available for the morning during weekdays especially now that it’s getting hotter outside I prefer that time. I currently work full-time at Michael Lewis Co. and am also a full-time student at ASU. I work Monday and Wednesday through Saturday, and I’m off on Tuesdays and Sundays. On the days I work, I will be away for up to 8 hours for pet sitting. I may also have some in-person classes, but I always keep my Rover calendar updated to reflect my availability. I live in an apartment with two dogs—a Chihuahua mix. I let him out to go potty at the dog park nearby. He is fed after I get back from work, have access to a water fountain that is refilled daily, and are well cared for throughout the day.
“Emily was a great sitter!! Lots of updates, photos and videos which kept us calm :) Luna seemed to have a great time and we will be using her in the future!! Thanks so much again, Emily”

“Stephanie treated Ella like her own. Stephanie sent updates and pictures throughout Ella's stay. Stephanie's residence has easy access if dropping your little one off while traveling with an RV like we did. We would absolutely use Stephanie again if in the area and would highly recommend her.”

“Cara and Graham and their family took great care of our dog, Bo. It was the first time Bo had been boarded outside our home, but they made us feel comfortable, took time for everyone to meet each other, and accommodated my crazy schedule at drop-off. Bo REALLY enjoyed the room to roam at their house! I would definitely recommend and will be using them again!”

“We can't say enough good things about our experience leaving our fur babies with Annie. She cared for them like if they were her own. We received pictures every day, and they surely looked like they were having so much fun. We feel blessed to have found her, and we will definitely call her -hopefully- soon!”

“From day one Liliana, made our dog CoCo Chanel feel so special and loved and I was so grateful for her to be able to help me out in a short period of time. While we were on our vacation we had received daily updates on Coco Chanel. Liliana included so many wonderful photos of Coco Chanel too cute. Overall I will definitely bring Coco Chanel back they have formed a true friendship.”

“Claudia, was great with our fur babies. She is very organized and learns about your fur baby to properly take care of them. She also communicated daily by sending videos and pictures of their stay. I will definitely use her again for the future!”

“Mitch, his wife, and his pup Shelby were amazing! I felt very comfortable leaving Tuna with them. I think she had a little mini vacation. Lots of walks and playing. I got lots of photos and messages from Mitch. Two things Mitch does that not many others do: 1. Mitch let my dog sleep in their bed. 2. Mitch only takes 1 dog at a time. I felt comfortable knowing that my dog would not be around any not so nice dogs. I would highly recommend Mitch. I would not hesitate to use him again. My dog came home happy and healthy.”

“Kalen was amazing with our sweet girl. He was extremely responsive to us and flexible to the dogs schedule. He went above and beyond what we thought our experience would be as first time rover users. I would recommend Kalen to everyone!!!”

“Shana was fantastic. She took great care of our 3 crazy dogs. They were happy and cleaned up for pick up. She bathed them for us, which was the only experience I had in rover that had the full service! She did everything and more, Shana is loved by our pups. Amazing dog sitter!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Litchfield Park
I am so thankful to have found this incredible lady. Marie responded right away. I needed a sitter for my senior pug. After reading the reviews Marie had from past pet parents I felt very safe and confident she would be the perfect sitter. Marie is the best! She sent pics and updated me of how Lucky my pug was doing. Lucky was clean, smelled good, and was happy in her care! Thank you so much! I will definitely use her services again!!!
Hunter was great when watching our little boy Champ. He was attentive, caring, and patient. When Champ began experiencing some separation anxiety being away from us, Hunter was extremely diligent with reaching out to notify us and talk through ways to help make Champ more comfortable. Thank you Hunter for watching Champ for us during our time of need!

Great experience! When you love your pets, there is always the fear of them suffering or feeling uncomfortable while you are away. From our first meet-and-greet, Joke gave us the confidence to integrate March (our 10-year-old indoor, medium-sized Schnauzer) into her family. She took the time to introduce him to each member of the household and observe their reactions. The reception was wonderful, and March quickly connected with everyone, receiving love and attention from the very beginning. I provided Joke with the main instructions for caring for March, and I am extremely satisfied with the way she followed them. She went above and beyond by sending us pictures and updates throughout her stay, which gave us great peace of mind. I would also like to mention that when you drop off your dog, you immediately notice how clean the environment is. The space is spacious, calm, and free from the overcrowding that can sometimes disrupt a dog's comfort and tranquility. The absence of other dogs helped ensure a peaceful and stress-free stay for March. I highly recommend Joke to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and professional pet sitter. We will definitely use her services again! 🐾❤️ Thank you.

Sierra is a wonderful sitter. She’s super easy to work with and had us do a meet and greet first to ensure everyone got along. Willow is usually shy but warmed up to her and her roommate during his stay and really enjoyed hanging out in the backyard. She sent great photos throughout, and it’s clear they took excellent care of him. Definitely booking again!

Out of all the great sitters Rover has to offer I’m so happy I picked Alexis. I was so nervous about leaving Lily that I almost canceled my vacation. But Alexis and her to cats made Lily feel comfortable from the first day I dropped her off. And in no time, Lily was acting like she was part of the family. Alexis did a great job sending me pictures and keeping me updated on how Lily was doing which set my mind at ease. Alexis was also kind enough to stay up late and wait on me to pick up Lily when my flight was delayed. I’d definitely recommend Alexis if you’re looking for a caring pet sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
