“Christina is always amazing!! She takes care of our 3 girls just like they were her own!! She also stays in contact and sends lots of pictures so you know they are doing well!”

“Cassandra was wonderful with our three senior dogs! One of our furbabies is not the most welcoming to strangers but he became friends with Cassandra on the 1st day! She also was kind enough to go to the store and get more chicken for the babies and cooked them too since we ran out. She went above and beyond and definitely grateful for her taking care of the furbabies! She definitely eased my mind during our vacation! Cassandra also not only took care of our furbabies but she took great care of our home too! Thank you, Cassandra!”

“Stelia was punctual and did a great job taking care of our 17 year old fur baby on New Year’s eve. We had to modify our time and Stalia was flexible meeting our needs. I’d totally recommend Stalia and will for sure use her services again.”

“Carma did such and amazing job watching our house and our boys!! She went above and beyond our expectations and even sent up pictures of our dogs with Christmas antlers on. “As usual, Sierra was reliable and communicated well during this latest house/dog-sitting stay. I will continue to use her services as long as she is available, and I highly recommend her to you as well.”

“Very good communication. My dogs seemed happy when we got home. My Little dog is very afraid of anyone who's not me but Yvette didn't stop trying to befriend her and in the end it my little Lola even slept beside her which is a big deal. Thank you for allowing us to travel without worrying the entire time. 😊”

“Alyssa was awesome! We booked her last minute and she was very quick to respond. The pups were happy and taken care of, and she even cleaned the house before we got home which definitely wasn’t expected! We will definitely use her again!”

“Drii was wonderful from the moment we setup a meet and greet with our dogs. She was super communicative and sent lots of pics and updates and most importantly, we came home to happy pups after 8 days away! Drii also carried out the non dog requests we had and we could not recommend Drii enough!!!”

“Daisy house sat for us overnight while we were out of town for our 4 pups. We felt very comfortable with Daisy when we met her for the meet and greet and knew our fur babies would be in good hands. She was very professional and great with communication and sending us some pictures. We came home to a clean house and happy pups. We would definitely book with Daisy again and highly recommend her!”

Cynthia was great with my animals, like always! She was very communicative and sent pictures and updates of the pets regularly, which I really appreciated. I was completely at ease while on vacation knowing they were in such good hands. She takes such great care of them, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable and caring to watch their pets!

Sheyna is the best pet and house sitter we've ever had. She keeps our house nice and neat, and of course, she takes great care of our cat, Mr. Pickles. He even looks for her after she's gone. He loves her so much! Sheyna's part of our family now and we would have her back anytime!

We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! Our dog is very shy, but Kaylyn was so patient and caring that she quickly felt comfortable. The thoughtful updates gave us so much peace of mind while we were away, and we came home to a happy pup and a well-cared-for home. We’re so grateful for the wonderful care they provided and would trust them again without hesitation. Highly recommend! No

Abigail was absolutely wonderful! She watched my dogs last minute from Friday through Sunday while I had to travel out of town for a funeral, and I’m so grateful she was available. She came highly recommended by Charis, my regular dog sitter, and she did not disappoint. Abigail was attentive, communicative, and sent photos that gave me peace of mind while I was away. When I came home, the house was so clean and, most importantly, the dogs were happy and well cared for. I truly appreciated her kindness, reliability, and excellent communication. I would definitely recommend Abigail!

This is the 2nd time that we have had Charis watch our dogs. One of our dogs has really high anxiety. Charis was really great with him. She was patient and let him get used to her in his own time. He very quickly warmed up to her. She is really good about sending updates and pictures and responds quickly to messages. I will absolutely be using her again. She also left the house immaculate! Even changed the sheets, which was one less thing we had to worry about since we got home so late at night. Thank you, Charis!!

Addison was such a great help watching rexin this week! She was attentive, professional, and communicated well. She had an issue with her vehicle and still was able to make the booking work and show up to complete the requested time to watch rexin which I really really appreciate especially when someone has their own things going on and still can pull through. I’d recommend her to anyone!

Arianna was phenomenal! She sent pictures every day. I could tell all my animals were well taken care of. With a few small hiccups out of her control, she handled everything perfectly and responsibly. This is the first time I was (nearly 😂) worry free leaving them with anyone. Will absolutely rebook again. She went above and beyond for all of my animals and my house 🥰 so so grateful to have found someone so amazing.

Fantastic experience! Great communication, personable, consistent updates, and lots of cute pictures of the dogs having fun and relaxing! The backyard looked great and both dogs were very well cared for! Anyone who owns a frenchie, knows a frenchie’s life, and our little one was clean and happy! It was our first time leaving the dogs overnight with someone other than family - We truly appreciate the care Kathleen gave them and will definitely book with her again!! We recommend her hands down!!

Julianna is absolutely wonderful and took such great care of our fur babies!!! This was the first time I had used a pet sitter and I was very anxious about it but Julianna was so easy going and came over twice before she watched our dogs just to get familiar with them and to let me walk her through their daily routine. She gave updates everyday while we were gone which I very much appreciated and my dogs really seemed to enjoy her. One of our dogs is a Labrador with high energy and special needs and the other is a small little guy with some separation anxiety and she more than met theirs and my needs in taking great care of them. I am so grateful to her and We will definitely be rebooking with her in the future!!

Carol was so lovely with our 4 cats and our dog, we didn’t need to worry about them at all. Our cats are usually pretty shy with sitters but she sent us lots of pics and they seemed like their normal happy selves. She kept us informed and made sure they were well taken care of. We came home to a clean house and happy pets ❤️

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Litchfield Park on Rover is $53.28 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 4,181 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Litchfield Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Litchfield Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Litchfield Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Litchfield Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Litchfield Park. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
