“Our first time leaving our doggo with someone while we went away. Mitchell was outstanding! He was communicative, respectful, professional and patient. Our blue heeler LOVED him. Couldn’t be more grateful and happy with our choice. Your dog will be in GREAT hands.”

“Diana was great with our golden retriever. She sent pictures daily and we could tell our dog was very comfortable with her. She has a nice size yard with grass in it, will use her again. Thank you!”

“Tricia is very kind and accommodating. I appreciated her daily pictures and updates. We would book with Tricia again and highly recommend her for any pet sitting needs.”

“Monica is amazing! She privided videos and pictures of my pup throughout the day. I knew my dog was in great hands! We will definitely use her again without hesitation!”

“Jesmarie and husband were amazing with my dog, my dog can sometimes be too much and she was giving them a hard time a little bit and probably being annoying but she still took good care of my dog and communicated everything that was happening and sent me pictures, she still made me feel like it was totally fine and she had great patience. Would recommend her anytime.”

“Liz is 100% dog lover. She cares deeply about them and pays attention to the details. And her personal dog is sweet and gentle. A perfect friend for my dog. I will be using Liz again!”

“Stephanie was very gracious and was understanding when my plane was delayed on my return. My dog was glad to see me, but not anxious when I picked her up. She obviously enjoyed her stay and was well cared for. The house and yard are immaculate, and her children loved having my dog around. I highly recommend Stephanie.”

“Zinnia was the best! She cared for and loved our Lucille like she was her own! We were given plenty of updates- both videos and photos daily! We will definitely use her for our future travels!”

“Great experience for Rio with Kathy and Steve. Thank you Kathy and Steve for taking care of Rio while we were away for 4 nights. Kathy has constantly updated us with wellbeing of Rio with latest photos of him. I highly recommend them for your pet sitting/boarding.”

“Ana did an amazing job taking care of Cooper! She was very friendly and communicative throughout the entire booking and boarding process. We got daily pictures/videos of how he was settling in, which was comforting since Cooper is a bit nervous in new environments. She made a welcoming space for him as he had no problem making himself comfortable. We would recommend Ana and will definitely book with her again!”

“Tiffany is very friendly. I am appreciative that she accepted to board my senior dog last minute. She was able to administer his meds in a timely manner. My dog made new friends with other dogs while he was there. I will definitely be using Tiffany again.”

“We love having Kayla watch our senior kitty, Oberon for us when we're away. She takes excellent care of him and with each visit he's been letting his personality show a little bit more, so we know he likes and trusts her too!”
“Our senior pup had an amazing stay with Cindy! She met all of his extra needs as an older dog and really made his stay comfortable and special. She maintained great communication and shared lots of pictures so we felt connected to our boy while we were out of the country. 10 out of 10 I would recommend her to anyone that needs a place for thier pet to stay!”

“Diamond had a great time with Ezra and Reina. He bonded well with them and adjusted to the transition from house to house without any visible trauma. Thank you both for being such dedicated caregivers.”

I am so thankful for Marwa. This was my first time having my puppy go stay with someone by hisself and I was probably more nervous than him. Marwa was available each time I reached out to check in and she sent plenty of photos and videos to provide me with some reassurance that he was okay. I would recommend her 100%. Thank you Marwa for your welcoming and friendly nature and care for my fur baby zayne 💕

OMG Tiffany is truly an angel and came through in the clutch!!! She is incredibly sweet, communicative, and great with our boys. This was our first time leaving them for the weekend with someone besides family and we were very nervous. AS SOON AS we met Tiffany, all anxiety went out the window. She was so helpful with my partner and I trying to wrangle our two boys + their things. The dogs immediately respected her and listened. I was so proud of them and intrigued by her!! She sent lots of pictures/videos and kept them active; we loved that. They came home so exhausted they knocked out until the next morning! I hiiiiiiiighly recommend Tiffany. She is absolutely everything you would want in a sitter. We'll be seeing her again very soon!! Thank you Tiffany!!
So happy we found Daniel, we had a last minute boarding request which he immediately responded to. We loved that he informed us about his typical routine which included enrichment, training, and even grooming. Him and his wife are super professional and experienced when it comes to pet care so we felt at ease knowing our dog was in good hands. With daily updates and pictures we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, will absolutely be using his services again!

Marisa went above and beyond for my 12 year old girl. She made she there were carpeted paths around the house because her old legs have trouble on hardwood floor. She sent the cutest pictures/videos too! It was so nice to know she was safe and loved while I was away

Katrina is an excellent sitter, very friendly and knowledgeable about dog interactions. We left our 2 pups and one of the girls didn’t take kindly to Diesel, even though he was completely friendly. Katrina had no problem accommodating to keep both dogs happy and comfortable.

Brittany was awesome she took good care of my Shadow and always kept me informed if there was anything going on and sent me pictures. She was very kind and easy to deal with and had a fast response time. Shadow got along with her very easily. I would definitely book with her again

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
